The best tavern in Santorini! I have been working in Santorini for 7 years and have explored the whole island. Armeni is the best place to enjoy a lunch by the sea inside the caldera. The food is so tasty and the guys, especially Nikos, are amazing and quite fun. The little ride with the boat to take you there, is also the cherry on top.

Stunning fresh food especially the scallops, views by the sea, and eccentric entertaining jolly owners who served us and other guests. A totally unique experience. Stellar. If you are looking for a once in a lifetime experience, this is it! We actually walked down some steep stairs from the main town all the way to the sea as we had no reservation only to find out everyone else took a boat there! I would recommend traversing this way, it’s quite an adventure. At the end of the meal, you’re whisked away by their private boat to soak in the caldera sea back to Ammoudi Bay. What an experience in Santorini. A true hidden gem, away from all the other restaurants and tourists. If you think those restaurants with sea high up views are beautiful, this will win your heart.

We took the complimentary speedboat from Ammoudi Bay to Armeni Fish Tavern and were treated to some stunning hidden gems of the island along the way. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely fantastic, warm, welcoming, and full of humour and making everyone feel at home. We left our order in their hands and they did not disappoint. Beautiful fresh bream, fresh grilled prawns, and the best grilled octopus we’ve ever had. We paired it with the house white wine which, as wine lovers, we can confidently say was perfect. The atmosphere was unlike anywhere else. nestled at the base of the cliff, just metres from the water, with uninterrupted views of the sea and boats sailing past. This is a must-visit in Santorini. Outstanding food, amazing people, and an unforgettable setting.

This was by far our favorite restaurant, not just in Santorini but of the entire trip. So glad we tried it and we even went back for a second lunch (which we almost never do). Focus is all about the food - the grilled prawns are a 100% must, and the Scallops were excellent. Then the Sea Bream whole fish was so good and they filleted it at the table perfectly. Then they offer a free boat back to Amoudi Bay (we walked down the steps the first time, but the second time we were sitting at a restaurant at a moody Bay looking at the prices and the food and decided just to finish our beers and take the boat for a second time and so glad we did). If you are debating if it's worth it was its a bit out of the way, I can assure you it 100% is.

If you are very lucky, you find a restaurant like this once in your lifetime. The food is incredible, yes. I will dream about that meal for the rest of my years. But what truly makes this restaurant special is the service. From the second you’re picked up on the boat until the second you’re waving goodbye, you feel like you’re part of a family. A true gem. We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Armeni Restaurant in Santorini. From start to finish, it felt special and memorable. They picked us up by boat on a moody day, and even that short 10-minute ride was such a fun and unique way to arrive. Everyone we met was incredibly warm and welcoming. The owner greeted us personally and even showed us the fresh catch of the day, sea bream, sea bass, and snapper, all caught just hours earlier. We chose our fish, and they grilled it to perfection. The staff cleaned and deboned it right at the table, which made it so easy to enjoy. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and simply amazing. The side dishes were just as impressive, especially the tzatziki and the spicy feta, which I can’t recommend enough. Everything felt prepared with such care and authenticity. Overall, this was one of the most delightful dining experiences we had in Santorini. Between the boat ride, the hospitality, and the incredible food, I can’t recommend Armeni Restaurant highly enough. A must-visit!

The restaurant is very hard to reach by walk, as it is located right at the bottom of a cliff, and the panoramic path that connects the main village to the bay is not recommended if you’re not fit enough. We didn’t have any issue coming down, but others might surely have had instead, plus it is slippery and generally unsafe, as marks also suggest. When greeted, the main server was quite rude to us in telling us that we needed a reservation (the restaurant was empty), which is fine as a concept, as maybe guests had to arrive, but he was unnecessarily patronising and kept saying “I love you baby” as a way to send us away “nicely”, which we didn’t like at all, totally uncalled for. We decided to swim in the bay around and check in an hour, and as suspected, they offered us a table since the place was still quite empty. They offered to choose for the catch of the day (100/110€ per KG), fish was fresh, and we ordered 2 small starters (one was pita bread), a caraffe of white whine and the fish which was 1KG. Total more than 160€, which seems to have become the norm in Santorini, but for us it was quite high. The pros were that they offered us a complementary dessert (we’ve seen this been offered to others too which is nice), and the boat service to Amoudi bay which is also included in the cost. Overall it was a nice experience, but with flaws, mostly linked with the customer service and the now unpleasant standard for santorini to charge very high prices.

Unbelievable experience as recommended by our hotel staff. The guys were very welcoming and entertaining, the fish and food was extremely fresh, and the whole experience/presentation was beyond expectations. The boat and views to and from was an extra special treat to it all. conplete
