I celebrated my birthday (May 11) at Arnguli Grill & Restaurant, and it became one of the most heartwarming and memorable moments of my trip to Uluru. I had brought a birthday cake with me, but unfortunately it got a bit damaged during the journey. I asked the staff if they could possibly help — and to my surprise, they warmly agreed without hesitation. They carefully placed a Happy Birthday chocolate plaque over the broken part and even sang me happy birthday at the table. That small act of kindness meant the world to me and completely lifted my spirits. 🥹🎂 Beyond that, the food was absolutely delicious — every dish was beautifully cooked and full of flavor — and the service throughout the night was impeccable. You could feel genuine care from everyone working there. Thank you to the wonderful team at Arnguli for your warmth, generosity, and attention to detail. You turned my birthday night in the heart of Australia into something truly unforgettable. 💛

We had a beautiful meal here on Monday and felt very blessed to have had such amazing food and personal service in such a lovely setting. Thanks to Raj and Jared who looked after our every need. The pork belly entree was a huge favourite so much so that we came back last night (Thursday) to do it all again. We were not disappointed, the chef's here are amazing and Raj and Shoka made sure our night was even better than before. The food can be exceptional (and it was), the decor can be attractive (and it is perfect) but without the very personal interaction that we experienced it is not a special night. Thank you to all the beautiful staff at Arnguli for two wonderful and very special highlights of our week at the Ayers Rock Resort ❤️❤️❤️

Highly recommend enjoying a dinner at Arnguli if you are staying at Ayers Rock Resort. The service is friendly and polite from when you are seated right up until you leave. But the real star is the food; quality ingredients, cooked perfectly and presented beautifully! We shared the duck for entree, the pork cutlet and kangaroo fillet for main, and the medjool date pudding for dessert, all of which were incredible and had us licking the plates clean. Make sure to book in advance as the restaurant is very popular (and for good reason).

Service was a little slow, but the staff was nice. The foccacia was warm and good, but the halloumi came a little cold. We tried the kangoroo, and it was nice and smooth; the gnocchi was also good. For dessert, the medjool date pudding - the caramel sauce added a really good flavour, but the ice cream did not. Very expensive for what we ate though.

Nice dining experience, expensive but likely the best restaurant in Uluru. Scotch fillet was nice, albeit a little uneven on the cook, pepper-berry jus was delicious and loved the black garlic. Partner had the Spatchcock which was generous and beautifully cooked. Parents had the compressed lamb shoulder which was a great size dish and delicious. Highly recommend the Aranchini and pork belly starters as well. Would go back.

Three of us had dinner last night and every part was lovely. We finished a tour early and they could seat us 30mins prior to our booking which was great. The hot towels and complementary signature ice tea were refreshing and delicious. The oyster starter with Kakadu plum sorbet was genuinely one of the best combinations I've eaten. The spatchcock, beef skewer and lamb were all wonderful

Genuinely one of the best meals of our lives this evening. You've broadened our pallets. Well done to all the staff. We shared the scallops, which had unexpected tiny gems that burst in your mouth, kangaroo steak with a sophisticated BBQ gravy, plum sauce, and some winter veg. A salad, that was cleansing and citrusy. And a chocolate creameux with chantilly and fruit; the amount of effort that went into each layer did not go unnoticed.

Google
A decent bar and grill in the desert gardens resort. Limited but nice menu, food was delicious. We rocked up just before closing, but they accommodated a table for us. May be due to closing hours, the waiter wasn't very attentive and busy closing up.

Yelp
Absolutely excellent! This is a first class restaurant. Food and service beyond expectations. The scallops rich and delicious but small portion. Gnocchi very good. Spatchcock chicken was the best chicken dish ever had. So many flavors. Bruno shiraz made it all better

Yelp
The Aussie platter had a variation of crocodile skewers, wallaby with crackers, emu slices and bacon wrapped kangaroo. Great option is you want to try different things without committing to one.

Yelp
We had breakfast here twice and dinner once. Food was just ok, prices seemed extremely expensive, even for the area. There is a sign that they only accept credit cards but charge a surcharge for credit cards. The breakfast is buffet and disappointing. The eggs, beans and bacon all tasted off. No omelets or made to order options. Coffee machine was best part. Just surprised how limited given how expensive. For dinner we ate with our group and it was bizarre... No table service or ordering our meals or buffet, they just set a random plate in front of you and you get what you get, half of us got chicken and half fish. For dessert half got a kind of gross sorbet and the other half got much better looking tarts. Our guide said this is the only way they accept group reservations. Would never do a group dinner here again, maybe better if able to order off a normal menu. Order drinks at the bar, beers $13-16 and cocktails $30.

Yelp
Arnguli is within the Desert Gardens Resort complex overlooking the pool. Reservations for dinner are absolutely necessary and they are very strict with this requirement. On arriving, the manager (Ty) greeted us and gave us an in-depth explanation of the menu and what makes them special. Of note, they participate in the Ayers Rock Resort Indigenous Training Program which provides education in hospitality, tourism, and horticulture. For our meal, we both ordered the kangaroo tenderloin done medium rare. It. Was. Amazing. Definitely the best kangaroo we have had during our time in Australia. Very well cooked and appropriately tender without being overwhelmingly gamey. They have you pair their meats with a sauce. We tried the blue cheese and the red wine jus, both of which were very tasty; however, I honestly preferred the taste of the meat without any added sauce. You also get an order of potatoes with grill items. The sweet potatoes were delicious with thyme being a great addition. For dessert, we split the mango gateaux which was also delicious and very, very rich. It is a combination of mango cream and milk chocolate mouse over a walnut sponge. 100% suggested. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 as there were a few snafus with service. We initially received another table's meal and it was difficult to flag down our waiter for water refills/the check. However, the waiters are all training so they deserve plenty of slack!

Yelp
Not sure if I have the correct Resturant as at least two appear to be connected anyway the restaurants in the Desert Gardens Resort are all good based on personal visits and talking with other guests Located in the middle of no where, food was always interesting and good. Limited choices but that is understandable due to location

Yelp
We chose this restaurant for dinner. It was recommended to make a reservation for dinner here due to the limited choices. After coming back from our sunset tour of Uluru, we got to the restaurant 30 minutes early. It was not even crowded, with more than 3/4 of the table empty. We asked the hostess if she could seat us early and she asked us to wait and she would call us when ready. After waiting 30 minutes in the bar area, we went to her to see if the table was ready. By this time it was our actual reservation time and she sat us down to the same empty restaurant. What the hell? You couldn't seat us down to an empty table earlier. This experience only brought on more bad experiences throughout the evening. Our server was slow to respond and seemed out of it. After taking our orders, she was gone. When our dinner was brought to the table, which I cannot remember what I had, it seemed like a long 30 minute plus wait. Service was off completely the entire evening for us and it seemed the other guest seated. Bad management as they need to train their employees better in service.

Yelp
The menu looked good when I previewed what they had but I was sadly disappointed with this place. First off, we make a dinner reservation for 7:30 here. We show up at 7:00 and I tell the hostess that we are a little early but if they could seat us earlier. There are people already dining there but the restaurant is half empty. She tells us to come back later at our appointed time. So we come back at 7:30 and it looks like there are the same number of people in the restaurant. She then takes us to our table. Argh. It would have made no difference had she sat us earlier. I hate to wait. I ordered the beef filet as my main and we had a few other side dishes as well. The food was decent, not great, just decent. Our server was very pleasant but it was quite evident that they were severely understaffed that evening. No discredit to our server because she was very good but I think stretched a little too thin with the tables she had to service between her and may 1 or 2 others. It took forever to flag one of them down. It took forever to just get the bill. I'm guessing the reason why we were told to come back at a later time was because of the labor deficiency. Sorry, this place did not have any "wow" factor for me.

Yelp
A surprising treat in the touristy location next to Uluru. The desert gardens is a nice hotel but the the grill inside is a real surprise. The food is impeccable and the staff youthful and friendly. The OP bone in rib steak was amazing. Particularly with the truffle butter. The lamb was really inventive with a small cutlet but the star being the lamb braised in a pastry shell. The service was fast and (in this climate) the air conditioning was just what u needed after a 41c day (106 Fahrenheit). The view is great of the gardens and lawns. Really tranquil and relaxing.

Yelp
Very unpleasant experience. We booked the seats at 8:45. But when the time came there's nobody took us to the seats so we had to wait longer. We ordered hot water but waiter brought ice cold water. We waited almost an hour for the meals to come and the taste was quite disappointing.

Yelp
Great Staff - Good Food Nice friendly staff. Food good but not great! Expensive. Nice presentation. Nice airy dining room split into different areas. We only had the main course as we were going to the light show and they close to early even for the first trip!

Yelp
Had a fabulous meal here to celebrate my 40th birthday. We started with the Emu which was cooked perfectly and delicious. Then shared the Australian Waters platter for 2 which had different shellfish, barramundi, potatoes and veggies - omg it was amazing. The fish and shellfish were so fresh, who would have thought in the middle of the Outback??! Kids under 3 eat for free as well, which seemed to be the case at most restaurants at the resort - all the ones we tried anyway. The service was excellent as well. A memorable meal and experience
