Had a good time at Arnie’s Barn after the golf cart tour at Top of the Rock. The cocktails and service were great, but the food was just good. We got the queso fundido, the birria quesatacos and the taco trio. You can intermix what proteins you want on the taco trio which was a great perk! Overall, Arnie’s Barn had decent food and excellent service from the waitstaff.

Google
Lunch at the bar was a lot quicker than the 45 minute wait for a table Had the combo fajitas, they were good, a little on the peppery side. The views were tremendous. Had the tostidas and the tacos. Both were good. The quality seems to have slipped a little since last year.

Google
If you are hungry and in the area, I would not recommend this restaurant. Was told wait was supposed to be 20 minutes, waited almost an hour. The queso tasted store bought and the service was abysmal. Drinks took almost 20 minutes after being seated. The location and ambiance is great!

The staff did a great job taking care of our group of 17 which included several with dietary restrictions and some otherwise picky eaters. I think we had everything on the menu and all of it was delicious including my much-needed Bloody Mary! The sunset view off the deck alone was worth the trip. Keep in mind, unless you valet park, the parking is remote and the shuttle ride takes some time. Plan to arrive at least 20 minutes early.

Google
We had a great time at the bar at Arnie's! Our 2 women bartenders were awesome, and they took very good care of us. This was on Friday, August 8th. We had an appetizer and drinks. Great place to relax after the heat!

Google
Definitely should have read the reviews before going. Since it's literally a gigantic barn, I didn't expect the cuisine to be fancy, expensive Mexican food. My son ordered the kid's ground beef tacos but they were out of ground beef. Except someone else in our group ordered a taco salad with ground beef and they brought it? The food wasn't great. I wouldn't go back but the menu at the other restaurant (which was closed while we were there) looked more like what I'd expect so I'd try it.

Emelee S. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeble, our lunch burger was so delicious and we got this awesome sightseeing.

Google
This place is a waste of money. The birra tacos were a joke. They were pretty much just pot roast (bison) tacos that were almost as dry as the rice. The rice could not get any drier and flavorless. I did not know that was possible. My daughter ordered the fajitas and it was supoise ti be chicken and shrimp but she got chicken and steak. The chicken tasted ok but the steak was tough and no flavor. The waitress brought her a bowl of shrimp they could've kept. It looked great on the outside but the inside was mushy and dry which was a weird experience. Lastly, we ordered sopapillas. They were not that. They were over cooked chips with cinnamon sugar. The food is over priced and underwhelming. If you're going to charge people that much might ey yall need to step your game up or lower your prices to reflect the quality of food.

Yelp
The service was quick and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The views and the facility were nice and had a nice atmosphere. The food was not great it was super salty and lacked taste. Definitely not worth the money but you're paying for the location. Locals really hyped this place up as great, it was ok.

Yelp
We arrived at this location right when they opened. The shuttle was no wait since it was early in the morning The location was very easy to find. Clean and open and had a lovely cabin feel. The menu was very impressive, and I was surprised to see how many options they had. I had the chimichanga with shrimp. It came with a queso blanc sauce and a side of lettuce/salad and Mexican rice. Overall, it was delicious Service was great. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would return here again in the future

Yelp
The barn/ambiance was great. Loved hearing about how the barn was moved. The service/waitstaff were very friendly & help & gave recommendations. The food .... In our opinion was not great. For being a Mexican good restaurant each dish that was ordered in our party had little to no flavor from the elite fritter appetizer to the entrees of the trio of tacos & the birria tacos.

Yelp
This was the only restaurant open before 4 at top of the rock. Wait was about 30 minutes and we were sat. Dining room has a great view. Our server was attentive so no issues there. I ordered the corn chowder which i thought would have whole corn in a cream based sauce. It came out pureed and had just ok flavor. My son got the kids chicken nuggets and fries and said they tasted weird. I tried both and it appears they need to change out the grease. Husband got the chimichanga and the chicken looked gray but he said it was ok. Would skip this place unless they make some changes soon.

Yelp
Oh wow! I've been to big cedar many times but this past visit (Arnie's barn) was better than the previous times. First off I want to start by saying our server was fantastic! Very enthusiastic and genuine. He answered any questions we had and made our dining experience top notch. Now let's get to the food! We had a party of 6 and half of them got salad and the others got fajitas and enchiladas! We were all impressed with our food but the fajitas were a little too salty but still yummy. The salads were HUGE and the ones who got them said they could have split one between the three of them. I got the margarita flight and they were all delicious! My favorite was the watermelon one! Overall, very good and we will be back!

Yelp
Ambiance is very nice, w/ cool woodsy feel to the barn & surrounding area. Service was also very nice. It was approaching closing time, so very few customers, in dining area. Our waiter was very attentive & engaging. Food was marginal, at best. Appetizers arrived, Luke warm. Our meals were okay. For the cost, I expected to be "wow-ed", all in our party were disappointed. Everything (Dining, valet, ...........The golf cart tour!) is over the top expensive. End result, the experience, doesn't justify the cost.

Yelp
If you're in Branson, I consider this a must... be it for a meal, or simply to see the Barn structure, golf course, and scenery/landscaping surrounding it. Wow! That darling little church visible from the veranda, so gorgeous! Beware, you probably shouldn't arrive hangry - be prepared to wait. It is always bustling and justifiably so (for reasons already stated). We sat out on the perimeter deck on a weather-perfect day. I got the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The salad and dressing were delicious but those cornbread croutons? Big no. Great idea, but they were bland and an unpleasant texture.

Yelp
Arnie's Barn is a gorgeous restaurant and bar with a great story, a lot of history, great food, and attentive, amazing service. All the years we've been coming to Branson, we were super confused about it's location, thinking that the barn by the Welcome Center was it, but that's where they keep the golf carts for the course and the cave tours. This is located at Top of the Rock where the Osage Restaurant and the Museum and Gift Shop are.

Yelp
Good was good. A bit different than usually Mexican restaurant food. Great view on the big Bass Pro Sinkhole.

Yelp
This is a nice way to wrap up a great tour, with lively staff, and good vibes. Justice is a great bartender and Popeye the tour bus driver is a hoot.

Ariel P.

Yelp
The view is BEAUTIFUL. Drinks are good. The food...something left to be desired. I had the bison quesabirria tacos and those were good, just wish it was crispier on the outside. The ju was not good. Usually birria is dipped in consome. The ju was THICK. The rice was gummy and overcooked, the beans had wayyyy too much cumin in them that overpowered any other flavor. Service was decent.

Yelp
The food was excellent. Our server, Ayden, was outstanding. He was on top of things, friendly and knowledgeable. He made it an extra-special experience.

Yelp
A memorable experience not to be forgotten. What a gorgeous place & view! Impressive staff, quality food & cocktails. The young man we had serve us was very professional & experienced. The chips with the salsa was phenomenal. I MUST know what company makes those corn chips!! Unlike any other chip we've ever had, absolutely amazing in flavor & texture!! What's in those chips?? The Blueberry Ancho margarita was perfection, well balanced, a creative concoction for sure. Husband had the tacos (all varieties) he said he's never had tacos so delicious (and we're from California). My chicken pastor quesadilla was beautifully toasted, quality cheese and very filling. Overall outstanding experience! Thank you for making this an everlasting memory. Please tell me more about those CHIPS!
google avatar

Yelp
Super disappointed... Food isn't great. Stale chips, stale taco shells... old shrimp... the salsa... what was that? They don't even cut the core out of bell peppers for salads. See picture... Such a beautiful place and crappy food.

Yelp
We were surprised to find out that this was the only restaurant open at Top of the Rock till 4pm. The child's hamburger was on a brochure bun which none of the 3 children in our party would eat. It was 15.00 for the child's burger. The rice from the Taco plate was hard as if it was from yesterday. The refried brand was canned chili beans. My carne asada was dry and the corn tortillas were very greasy. We had Fajitas which were 40.00 and queso which I'm pretty sure was canned cheese sauce. For the prices and quote a fine dining restaurant we were very disappointed. We owned a Mexican restaurant for years and our food never tasted like the food we got at Arnies barn. I wouldn't recommend eating at this place. There's a lot of better places in town.

Yelp
Just fantastic food!! Service fantastic I'm such a critic Wow a must see Our group was in awe Great job for me to say they knocked It out of the park is an under statement!!!!!!

Yelp
Grabbed a seat at the bar after finishing the golf cart tour/ride. We ordered the margarita and beer flight, which seemed to confuse the bartenders because they said they had never had someone order a beer flight, which is listed on the menu. There was a lot of conversation back and forth between them about the order, how they didn't' think it should be on the menu, how they didn't like making it, etc., it made us feel so uncomfortable that we even offered to order something simpler off the menu. Once they were made, they really did taste very good and we would order again, if allowed.

Yelp
10.11.12 Top of the Rock. Arnie's Barn. finally got to eat here. chips and salsa were good. queso was ok. edible. nothing to rave about. the nachos we good. ive come to really like pulled pork nachos with BBQ sauce. the mahi mahi tacos were disappointing. more bland bagged slaw than mahi mahi. bland in flavor. wouldn't recommend them.

Yelp
If you are planning at trip to Top of the Rock, please make sure to include Arnie's Barn in your plans for the day. Chef Christian and his team provide a phenomenal experience. Kaycee was such an awesome server and took care of all of our needs promptly and professionally. The space is warm and inviting. The views of Table Rock Lake and the surrounding areas are absolutely breathtaking. Weather permitting, they offer both indoor and wrap around patio seating. As a disclaimer, I spent 2 years in San Diego and lived approximately 8 miles from the border. To say I'm persnickety about Mexican food is an understatement. I was literally blown away by the food here. We went with the queso dip which had a nice heat to it and paired with great tortilla chips. For our meals we went with tacos. The shrimp had a creamy slaw and were quite hearty. The chicken Al pastor was fabulous! My measure of any Mexican restaurant is by the Al pastor. This takes time and effort to get just right. Most restaurants I've been to use pork which keeps the dish from drying out. Arnie's uses chicken, and it was flavorful and juicy. This receives high praise from me. Lastly, I tried a birra quesadilla-taco. This is birra or slow cooked beef in a rich sauce. The tortilla is then grilled on the flat top. A side of that rich sauce comes along as a side car for dipping. As much as I loved the Al pastor, I could have had a plate of these and been completely satisfied. We also added a side of rice and beans because that's what you do. The rice was full of flavor. But these beans tho! Smokey and flavorful, I was scraping down the sides of the crock to make sure I didn't miss a single bite! After all of that, we had to have dessert, obviously. The sopaipilla was crisp and covered in cinnamon sugar and a honey drizzle. They paired it with a delicious ice cream making it absolutely perfect. Highly recommend a visit to this place! The service, views, and food are worth the trip up to the Top of the Rock!

Yelp
The restaurant and location are great! The waitstaff and service were good as well. Unfortunately, while we were there, construction noise was very loud. To be expected, if you choose to sit outside. I could handle that. The food.....was terrible. The bison birria tacos had a terrible flavor to them. I'm still burping them up as I write this 7 hours later. The Nachos had gas station cheese on them and old ground beef that was stuck together like it had been sitting in a roaster for hours. I would never expect this kind of food at a place that charges that much for meals. Unfortunately, i can't tell you how the seafood cocktail was because they ran out 5 minutes before our food was delivered.

Yelp
Amazing food! Wonderful Service. My husband and I stopped here after we finished the Lost Canyon tour and Ozarks Natural History Museum. We had dinner plans somewhere else with our kids but just needed something to tide us over until then. It was five minutes to close. We assured the hostesses that we would make it quick. They quickly cleaned a table and found some silverware for us. Our server was super polite and assured us that it was no trouble. We only ordered an appetizer. The burnt end loaded fried. They were amazing! The fries were perfectly crispy. And the burnt ends and BBQ sauce were delicious.

Kristin J.

Yelp
Not impressed by this place. I have eaten here several times and the first time was significantly better than this last time. First the price of the food combined with the entry fee into the top of the rock is just not worth it. You are paying significantly higher prices for mediocre Tex Mex. No one at our table enjoyed their food, the steak on the bowl was dry, and the chicken my friend had wasn't seasoned well. Server was nice and the barn/view is pretty, but other than that don't waste your money.
google avatar

Fred S.

Yelp
Great lunch, great atmosphere great service. We had a party of 13 and Matt took care of us like it was a party of 2. Mexican themed menu had some nice options. The fajitas were awesome! Not giving 5 stars because I believe it was a bit over priced. Great time though.
google avatar

Beth B.

Yelp
Great views and location! It was sunny and 65 so we sat on the patio after golfing and it was beautiful! The food was alright but not good enough to warrant the high prices. They bring chips and two kinds of salsa after you order food. My husband had chicken fajitas-which were tasty- but don't come with any of the usual toppings like cheese, sour cream and pico. I ordered the slow roasted pork quesadilla. The pork flavor was really good. The beans and rice were cold but I had enough food anyway so I didn't say anything. The best thing we had was the Mexican street corn.
google avatar

Hannah V.

Yelp
Came here with a large party and they gave us a huge table in the upstairs loft away from the crowd. Our server was fantastic and personable and was attentive. The Arnold palmer's were a staple drink and everyone enjoyed their burgers and salads.
google avatar

Grace A.

Yelp
The place is so cozy and view is so relaxing. We chose to be seated outside for the great view and nice weather. We had Chicken and beef Combination fajitas with Spanish rice, corn, sautéed veggies, chips and salsa, coffee and mimosa. The food was good, price reasonable, service great, and very friendly server, Joe. Come try when you're in the area.
google avatar

Debjani Moitra C.

Yelp
If you love Mexican food, then this could be the perfect place to have a wonderful lunch with your loved ones specially if you are celebrating something special! We started our meal with Tortilla Chips and Bacon Guacamole which had House Smoked Bacon, Roasted Corn Salsa and Queso Fresco. For the main course I ordered - Barn Cheeseburger which had Aged Cheddar, Bacon, Charred Onion Jam, Grape Tomato Compote, Arugula, Basil Mayo served on soft toasted Buns. Now typically this is served with Hand Cut Fries but I requested to substitute this with a side salad which to my delight they did.
google avatar

Lee D.

Yelp
While at The Top of the Rock, dining options are limited (at least when we were there in the off season) to just this one for lunch but when in Rome... Read the reviews but we were hungry. First, the ambiance of the barn was very pleasing. Brett, our server, was personable and although service was not speedy, it was fine for a relaxing lunch. The chips were fresh and the salsa was flavorful and not runny. Husband had the burger which he liked. Fries were good. I ordered the enchiladas suiza without chicken and asked to substitute black beans for the borracho (non vegetarian) beans. I was surprised when the black beans were cold but then realized it was more of a salad and they were tasty. Unfortunately the enchiladas were lackluster - heavy on the sauce and skimpy on the filling and not very flavorful. It was not an inexpensive lunch but beverages were included (iced tea and Arnold Palmer). Service = 4 stars, food - mine 2 stars; hubby's 4 stars.
google avatar

Jency P.

Yelp
The restaurant offers amazing views and is conveniently located next to the Ancient Ozarks Natural History museum. We had guacamole appetizer with the complimentary chips and salsa offered. For main we got the KC strip steak and Ancho Caesar salad for side. The steak was delicious. The chimichurri sauce could have added little more spice and acidity. The rice wad delicious. The caesar salad was well coated and the lettuce fresh.
google avatar

Rob L.

Yelp
They freaking hauled this barn, board by board, from Arnold Palmer's farm in PA and rebuilt it here?!? That amazing and expensive fact alone earns it 3 stars...so although the ambiance here is somewhat corporate scrubbed, this place is the definition of rustic, authentic and it is relaxing (see the folks in the fireplace grotto, who are not us). Another two stars for the yummy guacamole and queso dish, and fresh chips. Plus these kids know how to make a cocktail. My old-fashioned was one of the best I've had. People around us were also enjoying tacos and good looking salads. The food will be good. Had to take away a star because our server really overstepped with us. The first two times she asked if we wanted something else, you can understand. But the next couple of times she asked annoyed us. We just wanted some apps and drinks. Yeah, I'm fat. But I had just had breakfast and wasn't hungry enough for a meal. It was grey and cold and we just wanted to chill. Hopefully this doesn't happen to you.
google avatar

Jason S.

Yelp
We stopped for a drink and appetizer after taking the golf cart cave tour and visiting the the museum in the basement. The drinks and atmosphere were top notch. We will be back.
google avatar

Dani R.

Yelp
Delicious food and wait staff was wonderful. Thank you, Ford, for all your help and kind accommodations. Delicious food and drinks with a killer view.
google avatar

Shane A.

Yelp
Arnie's was the only choice we had when visiting the museum. It's a "Mexican style restaurant"but I've honestly had better food at Taco Bell. The service was great, and even though busy our waitress was top notch, and the only reason for 2 stars. They are definitely price gouging because; well they can. I ordered the Cod tacos that came with an ear of corn, a spoon for rice and beans... Okay first of all the corn was the best thing, but it was extremely far from "Mexican style." It was just some corn with a little garlic or something on it, the cod was good, and came in two corn tortillas, but they weren't even cooked first, just raw out of a bag! Next the spoon full of beans was out of a can, and the spoon full of rice tasted like Uncle Ben. Absolutely the worst Mexican food "if you can even call it that" I've ever had. I'm not remotely trying to sound stereotypical, but maybe they should train the Indians working in Hispanic foods... Regardless at $15 a plate you're better off going somewhere else. PS the chips were pretty good, but the salsa was runny and flavorless; much like our meal... No Bueno.

AJ S.

Yelp
After $10 to get into the park area to "park" and another $15 to valet because it was the only option... we finally found the restaurant and food. It was ok, but for the price - just rent a jet ski for a few hours. It cost about the same, and you'll enjoy yourself
google avatar

Heather D.

Yelp
We were pretty excited to go here because the food looked delicious but looks are quite deceiving. The taco was stale, the enchilada was cold, the street corn was flavorless, the chips were just regular nacho chips and the drinks and food were way over priced. If you want decent pricey Mexican food then go to the landing!

Rebecca A.

Yelp
Loved the food!! A little pricey but was great food. Great atmosphere and great server. Beer was good. Will go back!

Joyce C.

Yelp
What a beautiful, picturesque place to eat. We were told there would be a 45 minute to an hour wait which we were fine with. An hour goes by and we had to ask where we were on the list. No communication up to this point by the hostesses (we were sitting right near their station) and upon our asking we were told they had a 10 top and an 8 top table (there were 8 of us). Both were busy; however, we had 5 adults and 3 children. Tables were sitting there uncleared and no one could jump in to help clear (there were 2 hostesses that kept looking at the seating chart and nothing else). They could not figure out how to put us at a table for 6 and add 2 more chairs. Finally we get seated and the hostess asks how many children. We told her 3 and low and behold we get 2 kids menus. Had to ask for the third menu and when we did so, we overheard a manager request one of the hostesses to help clear tables. Once seated our server was very nice and friendly. Our order was taken and arrived in a timely manner. Not much variety on the menu. Food was sub-par but our server was great. Good personality and upbeat. This is the second time we have eaten here with out of town family and everyone agreed we will not be returning again. Only reason for the 2 stars was because of our server and the beautiful restaurant.

Ashley C.

Yelp
I wouldnt consider this to be a mexican restaurant, but it's okay. the food seemed to be lacking a bit and it was $22 for most of the entrees. Its definitely way overpriced but they hook you for convenience if you're coming off the cave trails and museum. The service was very good though, we had our glasses full and the server was joking with us. It has that old times feel of a barn and the general store was nice looking. Definitely only stop here if you can afford it

Kyn D.

Yelp
This place is down right expensive. This also was the only restaurant open , with all of the population. We paid $22 for a burger I could have made at home, it was nothing special. My son ordered the enchiladas with nasty gunky green sauce and was extremely disappointed. The appetizer was extremely over priced $16 for some cheese fries with a little meat. My husband got the fish tacos and had food poisoning for 3 days straight. The complimentary chips and salsa is the only reason i'm giving this place any stars. It definitely was not worth the hour wait we had. Not to mention, service was terrible, reminded me like a McDonald's drive-thru. I could have taken my whole family to Mahogany Steak House for the price we paid here.
google avatar

Allen F.

Yelp
Ate here several times . Beatiful ambience. Service great. The food not so good. Almost everything is first class. The food should also be up to par.

Yelp
We stayed at Big Cedar Lodge four days and sampled most of the restaurants. Arnie's Barn was by far our favorite. We sat at the bar, because they were packed with families and happy tourists. We shared a combination plate and the house chips. Flavorful and fresh. The Big Cedar Lodge Amber Logger was really wonderful. We would buy this in the grocery store, but it's only sold on site. The wait staff was friendly and gave some great tips that improved our stay. Thanks for being a highlight of our vacation.
google avatar

The P.

Yelp
The staff is excellent the food is horrible way overpriced would not eat there again if they paid me too
google avatar

Peggy B.

Yelp
The atmosphere and view are incredible. Unfortunately the menu selection is disappointing and the prices are extremely high for the quality of food. We've eaten here many times in past years but was extremely disappointed this time. The mahi-mahi fish tacos were extremely blah. The service was good and our server was very friendly and prompt.
google avatar

Shauna D.

Yelp
I am not sure why this place has a three star rating, maybe because the menu is limited. However, the food and service was excellent. The guacamole could be seasoned more, but the salmon was very good. Emilee, our server, was amazing. Very hospitable and could tell us much about the history of the buildings. The view from the restaurant was breathtaking.

William S.

Yelp
Very bad experience. disorganized front desk. Willing to accommodate wait time but when hostess sits 2 other parties that were after you put your name in was not right. only way we got seated was to inquire about wait additional wait time which was 15 mins past expected time with no explanation.
google avatar

Craig D.

Yelp
Wow! This food was pure excrement and the prices were outrageous. I literally could of opened a can of tamales and sprinkled cheese on them and would have had a more flavorful meal. I had the pork enchiladas that apparently the chef forgot to season with any kind of spice and the meet was so dry I had to eat the enchilada while drinking a beer so I could swallow. My brother in law ordered the "special" fajitas with 8 oz of steak. There were maybe 3oz of meat and even less peppers. There was so little of actual ingredients in the fajita that he had an extra tortilla left over. My father in law stated that he felt like he just paid $22 for a cheese sandwich when talking about his pork quesadilla. Needless to say there was little to no pork. An extreme disappointment! How can you have a restaurant that is this bad in the location that it resides???
google avatar

Bill F.

Yelp
Would have gotten a 1 star, but the manager made things right and we came back a second time. We had terrible service our fist time, but the food was terrific! Management stepped in and stepped up!!! We came back second day and all was right with the world.
google avatar

Brian R.

Yelp
The salsa is weak at best! No spicy food here but what do you expect from a place named for a golf pro! The service people are polite and the restaurant atmosphere is very nice. The $10.50 queso portion was child sized... you know a rip-off. The flavor of the queso is bland. So you get two for one... over priced and under flavored. The food is good - but it's pricey. The employees are very friendly and accommodating! If you love Mexican food this isn't the place, but the food is flavorful.
google avatar

Jeff F.

Yelp
Everyone kept saying how great Arnie's Barn was and how fantastic the Mexican food was. Pretty sure none of these people have had great Mexican food. Service was great along with the views, but the food was a miss. I'd come up to Arnie's for drinks.
