Such a great restaurant! We ordered the African game platter and truly enjoyed it. It was such an experience to try crocodile, kudu, ostrich, and warthog – everything was absolutely delicious! The happy hour was also a lovely bonus.

Great restaurant! We tried the African platter once and the eland on another occasion – both were excellent in quality, and in my opinion even better than Karibu. The staff were very friendly and attentive, also towards children.

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with cappuccino and hot chocolate. Fast and friendly service, chilled vibe and good food - what more could you want? Next time, I'm having a mimosa or two!

A Real Cape Town Classic Arnold’s on Kloof has always felt like a true neighborhood spot, familiar, unpretentious, and consistent in its own way. It’s not a chef-driven destination or somewhere you go for a visual wow, but there’s something genuine about it that keeps me coming back. The design is a bit all over the place, not quite modern, not really cozy but it somehow works. I enjoy the food overall, especially the burgers and the seasonal dishes that change regularly; they may not be exceptional, but they’re satisfying and thoughtfully done. The wine list could use a little upgrade, but it does the job. Most of the staff are always friendly and attentive, and one unpleasant interaction didn’t spoil the experience. I’m still giving 5 stars because I believe places like this deserve the benefit of the doubt. Arnold’s is not about perfection, it’s about realness and for that, it earns my respect. Thanks, Arnold’s, real places still matter.

We had a wonderful dinner at this authentic restaurant. We came looking for South African game meat and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the crocodile tagine we tried was absolutely delicious!

Really nice place. Very reasonably priced for great quality food.

Got the sirloin steak, presented well but I just wish it had a bit more taste! Went on a Tuesday night and it was very loud, as big tour groups go there. Not the restaurants fault but just be wary!

I came to Arnold’s for their Early Bird breakfast and was really impressed. The breakfast and coffee was good and I would highly recommend it. While I’ve dined at the restaurant before, I find the peaceful atmosphere during the early morning slot far more enjoyable. During peak breakfast and lunch hours, the restaurant can become quite busy, and as a result with slower service, and occasional order issues. That said, the quality of the food remains consistently good, and the breakfast special offers great value. If you're an early riser, it's definitely worth a visit.
