The food was satisfyingly filling, served in a beautiful location. Prices were reasonable, almost on the affordable side. The menu wasn’t overloaded with everything imaginable. Instead, it focused on a selection of specific dishes, allowing real traditional quality to shine through.

Here for the perfect “antikristo” which is roasted lamb made in the ancient, shepherd way. Instead of placing the meat over the fire, the shepherds place it around it, literally “opposite” (anti) the fire (kristó, from “to face”). Incredible taste seasoned only with salt.
Not to be missed when in Anogeia

Cretan salad was huge, delicious, and the fresh ewes milk cheese with honey so soft and full of flavour.
One of our favourite meals in our month in Crete.
Worth the drive.

Original Cretan food with the relative hospitality and nature of wild bucolic Crete.
A taverna that keeps its distinctive atmosphere and quality throughout the whole year no matter the weather! An invitation to feel as a local surrounds each visitor and is generated through the tastes and picturesque view!

Super super friendly service! Food was perfect! To bad, we have our hotel about 1h away. We definitely would come again and again. Dessert was the best on whole Crete!

A cannot miss spot if you are in the area! The food was amazing; every dish we tried was memorable and delicious (fresh feta, fried pork, and the cannot miss confit lamb). Aleksandros was incredibly kind and welcoming. I'm thankful for the technology of today, as I was able to show him in Greek how wonderful this meal was.
