Aroha Taveuni Beachfront Bures

My wife and I stayed here for 3 of our 4 nights on Taveuni during mid October 2024. Our first night, we had to stay at the Garden Island resort. It was a less than stellar facility. We were so grateful to get to stay at the Aroha our last 3 nights. Everything about the place was wonderful. Beautiful location, beautiful grounds, beautiful and clean rooms, an outdoor secluded shower, great food, close to a host of different activities, and friendly/helpful staff. Loved it, loved it, loved it. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks for a wonderful time Aroha!!!!! Awesome!!!!!

Lovely quiet place to base your stay on the gorgeous Taveuni Island. Friendly staff and delicious reasonably priced food at Kai Time restaurant. There is a beautiful view across to other islands from the restaurant - and lovely sunsets to complete the tropical paradise cliche😁 Great selection of day trips to book for snorkelling and waterfall walks. Snorkelling is great out the front at mid to high tide. The beach is broken coral, not sand, but that means there are coral reefs to explore a short snorkel away🤩 Bures are lovely and the outdoor shower is great (secluded but you can see the coconut palms above the wall).

Of all the places we stayed in Fiji, this was our favorite -- both the resort itself, and the island of Taveuni. It's not a full-blown resort, as there are only 5 guest rooms, but this gives it a distinctly home-y and intimate feel. A great place to relax if you want to be away from the crowds. The attached restaurant has a great chef, who had a new list of specials every night, and the whole staff was super-friendly (and not in "i have to be friendly as part of my job" way, but genuinely friendly).

We went to Aroha having read reviews about this resort and were pleasantly surprised by everything that was provided. The rooms are beautifully set out with everything you need. Loved the outdoor showers and separate bathroom. Lovely deck to sit on and chairs to sunbathe on. Restaurant is superb with a wide variety and array of food. Staff are so personable. Nothing is an issue. The hosts Dennis and Ngairie go out of their way to ensure you are totally happy. Want to go snorkelling or scuba diving, or go to the Pearl farm or the Coastal walks then your hosts arrange everything for you. The Village visit is a must. The stay at Aroha Tavenui was everything I could have hoped for. Recommend this place very highly

A wonderful quiet place. Fantastic to relax or to go for hicking, diving or just going around.|Excellent restaurant. No need to look for another one. Chef Krish is really great. From local dishes to more indian ones all is tasty as you can wish. If you want non spicy at all he will cook as Such.|Lo and all team are very helpful. Great welcome from everyone. We loved the tranquility and the beauty of the pool layout. However, at first we were a bit embarrassed to go there, because the pool is in front of the open house of the owners, but at the end it was very chill. In addition, there are not enough sun loungers by the pool. Make sure to bring water shoes for the beach as it's a rocky sand. As for the other positive points: wonderful gardens, well-kept, clean and well-equipped rooms. Digicel 4G seems to be the best for internet to hotspot other devices, make sure to leave it by the shower (where network is best, at the back). Restaurant is probably one of the best (and cheapest) in the area, maybe eggs would be a good addition for the included breakfast. Rental car is probably needed to move around.

Great location, with an excellent restaurant and naturally friendly and accommodating staff. The bures were very well kept with comfortable beds and pillows. The outdoor shower was nice and big. The sunsets were amazing right off the restaurant deck. Vinaka to Lo, Flora, Mere and not forgetting Dennis and Ngairi for a wonderful and restful stay.

We stayed here 9 days and loved it. Nauri, Dennis, and the whole staff took such great care of us. The bungalows are incredibly charming, super clean and well designed. The entire property is well laid out and designed. Felt like being at camp. Cooks at the restaurant are great, they accommodated our food preferences. If you want local Fijian food, there’s a great restaurant Alifina’s 5-min walk away. Perina (sp?) the massage therapist is truly excellent, had we known earlier we would have had multiple massages! Everything was so wonderful.
