The Secret Garden - Mijas

This is an OUTSTANDING restaurant. It should have a far better rating than this in my opinion, I can only think because its a little more on the expensive side, catering for tourists over locals perhaps? All of the meat and fish dishes we had were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The goats cheese starter was incredible. I found my favourite wine here! The secret garden is such a beautiful spot to eat or drink, we ending up coming twice within a few days. It was not "busy" mid May. Staff attentive and friendly. Good varied menu. Great range of drinks and cocktails.

From the moment we arrived at The Secret Garden, the atmosphere was pure magic — lush surroundings, an inviting ambiance, and live music that set the perfect tone for the evening. But what truly made our visit unforgettable was Marie Carmen. She was more than amazing — attentive without being intrusive, warm, and genuinely passionate about making sure every detail of our evening was perfect. Her energy elevated the entire experience and made us feel like VIP guests. As for the food… chef’s kiss! Every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. You can tell the chef puts heart into every plate. Between the stunning setting, delicious food, enchanting live music, and Marie Carmen’s exceptional service, The Secret Garden is a place we’ll remember — and recommend — for a long time. The initial staff approach before we were seated was slightly odd. However, it then improved a lot . The garden is truly lovely. The food was decent. I was a bit sad they run out of the bbq mix (it was only 13:30). The beef flank I ordered was then a bit dry. The beef filets we had were delicious though as well as the sea bass. The jacket potatoes are a nice touch. I would prefer to have a choice on the filling. The herb mayo was decent but not my favourite.

A hidden gem! Lovely atmosphere and great food Really nice atmosphere - a spacious garden round the back with great seating, lovely lighting and good food. We had the gazpacho, goats cheese and green pepper starters. Then we had the beef, truffle burger, and sea bass. Don’t forget the desserts - really nice tiramisu, lemon pie, pistachio cheesecake and carrot cake.

A true hidden gem in Mijas Pueblo! Aroma Café Secret Garden is the perfect spot for a family lunch, offering a beautiful garden with plenty of space for kids to play while parents enjoy a relaxed meal. We actually have our time there 😄 The atmosphere is peaceful, and the setting feels like a secret escape. Although we had to wait a bit longer for our food (we were a group of 10), it was well worth it. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked—especially the grilled meats. The staff was friendly and easygoing, adding to the overall laid-back vibe of the place. Price was also very reasonable. If you’re looking for a charming and family-friendly restaurant in Mijas, this is definitely the place to go.

It is a true wonder and the ambiance is so nice and beautiful. We had no reservation and they made us a space available and it was amazing. We loved every second of it.

My family of eleven people including five children had an amazing night at this restaurant an evening in mid July 2025. The food was great, the service good and the garden is so lush and poetic. Looks better than the pictures. I loved the Pina Colada as well 👌🏼 We will definitely come back for food or just drinks.

A gem in the beautiful village of Mijas, there’s a charcoal BBQ and steaks and fish and very delicious other plates and the garden is charming.
