Aroma River Spa

We were looking for a bar near our hotel and discovered Aroma — and we’re so glad we did! The place is absolutely beautiful, with a semi-outdoor spa setting surrounded by river and forest. We were taken on a short wooden sampan ride (about 1–2 minutes) across the river to reach the spa, which is made of charming timber high-leg traditional huts. The atmosphere was so calm and peaceful, it instantly put us at ease. We booked the 880k+ (before tax)rupiah package per pax , which included a 1-hour massage, a 1-hour body scrub, lunch set, and hotel pick-up and drop-off. Everything was wonderful — the staff were warm and friendly, and the massage was excellent. Note: Not suitable for families with young toddlers or babies, as you need to walk on a timber deck without railings. Bonus: we were lucky to have cool, breezy weather after the rain, which made dining in the outdoor hut even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and unique experience!

The best place for relaxing massage. The staff are friendly and polite. The boat ride is just 1 minute and if you are going for the experience, must take the boat ride. You get to choose the oil and scrub for your body. The masseuse would ask for your pressure tolerance and they were very skillful. Highly recommended!! We had lunch after massage, the fried rice was good. They offered complimentary coconut water which was very fresh & tender.

Best massage ever, highly professional and extremely relaxing. Fantastic atmosphere in a small wooden house on top of the river in the jungle. Great value for money. Food was also very fresh and tasty. I'll definitely come back if I have a chance!

You know, people always talk about things being a hidden gem, but there is not other way to describe this place. It is SUCH AN EXPERIENCE. Located at Mutiara, this was one of the highlights of our trip. There's a quick like, 30 second boat ride to the stilt houses where the massage takes place. You can choose the oils you want, and the masseuses were attentive, professional, and had wonderful expertise. You know how at a regular spa they play nature sounds on Spotify? This place didn't need any because you are smack in the middle of a natural setting. We heard birdcalls, the rustling of the leaves, and the occasional splash of fish underneath the terrace. The natural setting really added something very special and somewhat spiritual to the experience of a simple massage, I just can't explain it... I also liked how gentle everyone was with the animals on the site (a cat and a dog, that we had saw), and they really cared for them. That tender vibe permeates this whole space. They do provide pickup and drop-off service at additional cost across the entirety of Bintan Island, so there's no reason for you not to come here!

I have had countless traditional massages all over Southeast Asia, and this by far the best place I've been to. Everything was perfect. The place was unique, beautiful, and comfortable with the sound of birdsong. The aroma was delectable. And the massage quality, my God. I will come back.

Hubby and I took a 2 hour spa package which included 75min body massage and 45min foot reflexology (we could choose between that and a body scrub). The package also included two way transfers and lunch or dinner. The service was top notch right from the beginning when the driver arrived early to pick us up. We met the owner and had a lovely conversation before we took the short boat ride to the massage huts. The massages were relaxing and we felt very refreshed after that. We took the boat back where we had an excellent lunch (there were many choices from an extensive menu). We ordered 2 extra side dishes and the restaurant did not bill us for them even though we asked and insisted to pay (apparently they were supposed to serve us fruits/desert but they left it out so they didn’t charge us for the extra). After lunch we even had time to take a look at the nearby beach. We not not rushed at all to take the transfer back to our hotel. Overall, it was an excellent time spent and with kind staff and good service. Thank you and we will definitely return.

This was a nice surprise, great massage, would go again, it ain't cheap but it's good, they also include quite a bit in the package such as food, wish I had tried the pizza as I saw they had a wood burning oven. Mangroves were a nice addition, no issues with mosquitos
