Aroon Thai Kitchen is the best Thai restaurant in town. The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is outstanding—they always make me feel genuinely welcome every time I visit. The owner and staff are amazing: friendly, respectful, and incredibly well-mannered. I live downtown, where there are tons of restaurants, but my family and I happily drive 20 minutes just to eat at Aroon Thai Kitchen. We love the food and, even more, the people. Their positive attitude and wonderful personalities make every visit a great experience.

Thai food snobs here and this place was great. Super fresh and delicious… we got the pad Thai (best we’ve ever had), pad si ew, yellow curry and massaman. Definitely good quality food and service was fantastic… super friendly and wonderful people. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely outstanding experience! The food was authentic, fresh, and bursting with flavor—every dish was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. From the rich curries to the perfectly balanced spices, you can really tell the ingredients are high quality and made with care. The service was equally impressive: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling rushed. The staff made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. This is hands down one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to, and I can’t wait to come back!

What are you waiting for? Just go!! If I could give this place 10 stars for service, I would. My daughter has a shellfish allergy so eating Thai can be tricky. Our waitress and the chefs went out of their way to make sure she felt comfortable with what she was ordering. To prevent cross contamination, they even offered to steam her tofu instead of frying it. The true sign of a good restaurant, this place was filled with happy customers the entire time we were there. They fed our party of 14 with ease and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back!

Thai Beef Noodle was SO good. Thai Tea was perfection, and the waiters were so sweet and kind. What more could you ask for?! Please come support this amazing Thai restaurant ❤️! All these raving reviews speak the truth! It is worth a trip over here!

The service was really nice and the food tasted great. The sweet roti was especially tasty, and the cook even came out twice to check on us, always with a big smile on his face. We did ask for a small customization to the soup, which they couldn’t do, but it didn’t take away from the experience. Even though the portion sizes were quite large, it somehow didn’t feel super filling. Overall, still a really pleasant experience.

Absolutely delicious Thai food at Aroon Thai Kitchen! Every dish was full of flavor and tasted truly authentic from Tom Yum soup, papaya salad and especially Khao Soi. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for genuinely tasty Thai food with great service, this place is a must-try. Honestly this was such a surprise! Outstanding Thai food in Salt Lake with absolutely stellar service. My pad see ew was swimming in black pepper and too spicy for me to eat. The sweet waitress offered to have the dish remade and even brought me a complimentary strawberry milk. The interior was clean and comfortable. Don't skip a meal here, you won't regret it!

This might be the best Thai meal I've ever had. Ever. The khao soi is UNREAL! It's so rich and flavorful and comforting. It combines two of my favorite Thai dishes - pad Thai and curry to make the most incredible dish. Service is always amazing here and it's a great place for a meal with friends or loved ones. Best Khoa soi I have ever tasted! ! I tried this dish at a Michelin rated restaurant but this one blew it out of the park. It was absolutely delicious. The place was full when we arrived so I expected the kitchen to be backed up a bit but the food came out for each table pretty quick. The service is great, the two servers worked together and were friendly and helpful. Located in a small strip mall across the street from Hampton Inn Suites. Parking is a tight during dinner rush. Lots of vegetarian options!

This nice little Thai restaurant is located in a strip mall off of 4500 south on the north side of the street. There were plenty of parking spots when I arrived at 11:30 but all were filling up by the time I left just after noon. The staff, two young folks, were friendly and accommodating. I decided to do a lunch special as the price seemed fair. I ordered a green curry with tofu, steamed vegetables and a chicken pad gra pow. The curry had good flavors and I used it to flavor the chicken which I thought was pretty lackluster in flavor. Not bad but not much there other than shredded chicken. The steamed veggies were nice too but didn't have any flavor beyond their own. So the curry sauce went a long way to flavor the other dishes. Not a bad place for lunch but I'd say just ok for the food as an overall impression. I'd go back but might try some different dishes next time.

Aroon Thai Kitchen has quickly become one of my favorite lunch spots. The prices are very reasonable, and they have a delicious selection. Last time, I tried their lunch special with Pad Ka Pow, Green Curry, and Jasmine Rice. Everything was great, but I really enjoyed the Pad Ka Pow! For just under $10 you really can't go wrong with the lunch special. My favorite dish is still their Khao Soi with chicken. It's absolutely delicious, and I have never had it at any other Thai restaurant. The portion is large, and I always end up packing some leftovers. They were pretty understaffed when we went for lunch last Friday. We ended up waiting about 10 minutes to be seated, and then we waited at least 15 minutes before anyone took our order. Even though they were very busy, I appreciate how kind and friendly the staff were. Also, parking is pretty limited since there aren't too many spots out front. A lot of cars were just parked along the curb. We ended up parking at the Fairfield.

This was some of the BEST if not the best Thai food we've eaten in Utah! We started with the tom kha which was delightful and also had the pad Thai and Massaman curry. All were so flavorful and a little different (in a good way) than other Thai places. Service was excellent. Will absolutely come back!

Probably the best Thai curry in the state that I have had. When I died in and I also loved all of the noodle dishes. Everything felt so fresh and as if each ingredient was very cared for. You could taste the quality. This was my second time in and I will definitely be back for more

Service was great. The presentation was beautiful. And the food was even better. We got the fresh summer rolls and the peanut butter sauce was probably the best dipping sauce I've ever had. The tom kha soup was delicious, although a bit on the sweeter side. The yellow curry and the pad Thai were some of the best I've ever had. Im looking forward to trying the rest of the menu in the future.

So yummy! Had the yellow curry and it had a hint of sweetness to it that was bomb! They have a great lunch menu! Prices are reasonable!

I am so glad I finally got to try this place. It's been on my list for a while. I've never had Kai Soi but it looked so good from all the other pictures I thought why not. We got chicken thigh and boy was that the right choice. The chicken was super moist. Broth super flavorful. Will definitely order it again! We also got shrimp pad thai. The shrimp were well cooked but I felt that they didn't have much flavor to them. The noodles were delicious. Large portions. Great service. Can't wait to come back!

Great food! Our party had two apps and four different entrees and all of it was really tasty. They clearly had a lot of people ordering take out too.

This didn't stop the staff from being super friendly and attentive. I got the chicken pad Thai with a Thai iced tea, which both were delicious! The staff is friendly, the food is fresh and the place is very clean. I will absolutely be back.

A hidden gem! I recently discovered this place, and it's one of the best Thai restaurants in Utah. I got the pot stickers and yellow curry with chicken. You can choose a spicy level, I got medium and it wasn't spicy but really flavorful. This restaurant feels really homey, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. I can't wait to come back and try something new!

Close to Fairfield and Hampton. No need to drive for a great meal. The food is fresh and prepared with care. The owner waited on us and was very attentive to our needs. Clean dining area. We will be back to try more.

I've been hearing about this place and decided to finally go, especially since I've live so close! It's really close the gas station on the corner. Front parking is difficult especially during lunch or dinner time, but they do have additional parking in the corner or maybe by the hotel(?). It's a small-ish location with a cute aesthetic. There are bamboo stuff on the walls, and also with the season, Christmas decorations. I know this place would be good because there's a random table that's not for customers but instead has a Christmas tree on top. When you walk in you're immediately greeted by a super friendly person working the front. Even though he's wearing a mask you can tell he's smiling with every word. You can even tell how friendly he is through the phone if you're ordering take out. The food here is food. I ordered the boat noodles and chicken satay. The portion is pretty small, but yummy. Their spice level goes from 1-4 with 1 being a bit spicy, 2- medium spicy, 3 - Thai spicy, and 4 being regrettable spicy. I went with 1 to gauge the spice level, and It was alright. I love spicy food so I think I could handle hotter. I'm so glad they gave me a side of chili so I can add more. I would come back here again. It's so yummy and so close to home. Maybe I'll try out the curry next time.

I love coming here for lunch! Their lunch special is a great deal with lots of different combo options. I always get the yellow curry with chicken and the Pad Ka Pow with tofu. The basil is the best part of that dish! I've gone for dinner once with a group of five and ordered the potstickers, chicken satay skewers, and massaman curry. They were all so good! You can choose the spice level for the main dishes. I've had a medium and hot and both were not spicy. The service is always so great. They are nice, attentive, and helpful with kids! They have high chairs and plastic plates and utensils. I love their decor and how bright and clean the space is.

This is PHENOMENAL Thai food with a great menu. They have sweet Roti, something I've never seen in Utah Thai restaurants before. Thai tea is delicious and very reasonably priced. The servers are so kind and checkup on you frequently. The dishes we ordered were all amazing. Tom Kha with a 4 level spice will transport you straight to Thailand. Could not love it more!!!! Relatively small restaurant but enough tables that we sat with no wait on a Saturday night. Will absolutely be back!

I have been following Aroon on Instagram for quite a while...hoping to stop in for a visit. I finally made it in & so glad I did!! I ordered the yellow curry & garlic chicken for my lunch special. It was warm & flavorful...perfect on a cold December day. Service was excellent. I'll definitely be back.

Aroon Thai Kitchen has some of the best and most authentic Thai food. I recently came back from a trip to Thailand and learned about Khoa Soi, which was one of my favorite dishes while I was there. I searched if any Thai restaurants served it and found Aroon Thai Kitchen. The second we walked in we had a warm welcome from the owner. He treated us like family and was so excited we knew about Khao Soi and they did not disappoint! It was just like the Khoa Soi we had in Thailand. We also got their Tom Kah which was so flavorful and their drunken noodles which were also very flavorful. We've been back a few times as this has become our go-to Thai restaurant.

my new favorite restaurant in utah. the best thai food i've ever had. the kao soi is absolutely insanely good with a creamy almost cheesy taste from the oyster sauce and coconut and the noodles were perfect. the egg rolls were also perfect crispy with great filling and good sauce. everything about this place was clean and courteous the staff was super nice. i wish i lived closer because i would come everyday!

Last week I had Thai food at a hidden gem but this week I'm choosing ATK! I was just downtown and decided since in the City, let's see what other Thai food gems there are. I chose ATK because of the great Yelp reviews and so far, after spring rolls and Mango salad, it's on point. So fresh amd flavorful. The spice level 3 of 4 is spot on for me. The Spring Roll with Shrimp is very good. Fresh ingredients and a very tasty peanut dipping sauce. The Mango Salad with a side of sweet sticky rice is crunchy, spicy and again, super fresh. There is an assortment of green mango, slivers of carrots, fire roasted peanuts and loose chopped raw cabbage! Except for the fish sauce it's vegan. Don't gasp but Ive never had sticky rice! It's chewy, slightly sweet, hot because of the bag and container it's served in and pairs well with the salad. OMG! The Yellow Curry, spice level 3 of 4, is so good. You know good curry. Get this. For my beverage I had a Thai tea without the cream but with lime. Very refreshing. The pace of ordering was very fast, kind and efficient. The menu is simple amd easy to navigate. You know that places with huge menus freeze their ingredients... this place is very fresh. The seating allows for privacy and the floors and tables are clean. My water was refilled 4 times and offered to refill the tea but I declined. The music is easy on the ears amd works well with the restaurant easy vibe. A must add to your Thai food bucket list.

This is by far the BEST Thai Food I have ever had! I can't wait to come back! Everything from the appetizer, to the food & service was so exceptional! I was beyond impressed. The people are so sweet & kind! They are the most perfect hosts! It feels like being in the home of a friend. I'm so sad that I have missed out & didn't discover this place sooner! I'm already looking forward to coming back. Something tells me it won't be too long before my next visit. Wow! Just wow!

We came here on a Monday at around 5:45pm. It wasn't too busy and we were able to be seated immediately. The decor is pretty unique and reminiscing of some places in Thailand. We ordered the veggie spring rolls, which in this place means fried. They tasted super fresh and the presentation is 10/10 compared to other Thai restaurants. We also ordered the Tofu Pad See Ew and the Tofu Fried Rice. We ordered the Pad See Ew over the Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) because we were told we cannot lessen the spicy level on the drunken noodles. I can't do spicy so we went with the Pad See Ew. It was rather dry and it tasted very sour - close to having too much vinegar. Normally I love vinegar but on noodles it was too much for me. The Tofu friend rice was good though and it did taste like it had less oil than most places. The rice also tasted fresh. Towards the middle to the end of our service, we never saw our server make a stop again. We had to ping him down after 40 minutes of finishing our meal and not having him stop by. In the beginning though, he was super attentive and fast. It did get super busy and he was the only waiter. He's super friendly so we didn't mind the service. It does seem to get busy after 6:00pm. I wanted to order the mango sticky rice as a dessert but they told us the mangoes were not ripe and couldn't make. It was good to see that they didn't use mangoes that weren't ready just for the sake of selling it. Would definitely come back and give it another shot.

First for appetizer, We tried the fresh spring rolls with shrimp which were delicious and the best part of the meal. We also tried drunken noodles with chewy steak. The flavor of the sauce was peppery and intriguing. The massaman curry with chicken thigh again had issues with the texture of the protein but the flavor was pleasant and creamy. We usually opt for pork at Thai places because the pork is generally more tender but this establishment does not offer pork. Overall, great flavors but the protein options were stringy/chewy. Maybe we would try the shrimp if we came here again because the shrimp in the spring rolls was great.

The food here is excellent, and the value is fantastic. We have eaten a lot of Thai food so this isn't a random rating. Very authentic and everything we had was delicious. Highly recommend the place

Great Thai food! My office moved not too far from here and I have loved grabbing mu lunch from here since. I've been trying to order something different every time i come and nothing has failed to disappoint!

This little gem felt like a whole in the wall considering the outside parking options but once I walked in, it immediately was a spacious, clean, comfortable and cute restaurant! I personally loved the ceiling hangings and wall decor, it made the place feel so cozy. The food was absolutely delicious, and the lunch special was perfect and affordable. Everything leans a little spicy here which I loved. The flavor of each dish was very spot the the icing on the cake was the lemon water which I loved!!! I might not want to eat the steamed veggies alone but dipped into my green curry was so good!!

I've had a lot of Thai and this is one of the best restaurant I've been to within the U.S. Truly takes me back to Thailand. We split a small Tom Yum soup, of which had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The potstickers had a perfect crunch. My main dish, Chicken Pad Thai had so much flavor and the added texture of peanuts and the extra bean sprouts on the side, were much appreciated! My boyfriend got the drunken noodles, of which they perfected. Flavorful and veggie packed. Service was impeccable! The staff was so friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. This is one of my new go-to spots in SLC!

We came here on New Year's Eve for the first time, and a little nervous when we walked it and saw only a few other people. However! This was some of the best Thai food we've had in years!! It was SO delicious! We ordered; To start egg rolls, and chicken satay. Both were SO good, the chicken is so tender and moist! Pad Thai with shrimp, honestly some of the best pad Thai we've had! The depth of flavor was amazing, the only downside was it's a very small portion, for two people only. We had a group of 5, so we all just had a few bites. Massaman curry was another favorite, so flavorful! Green curry with medium heat, one of my favs. Drunken noodles were excellent Fried rice with beef was great. Had the sweet roti for dessert and everyone loved it! The perfect sweet bite to end the meal. We can't wait to come back again!! The staff is so nice and friendly!

This is such a fantastic unassuming Thai restaurant! The staff are all so friendly! My 3 year old son was having a melt down and didn't want to sit at our table and they let him sit on his own table and would bring him food and coloring pages. He was happy and entertained the whole meal which is not an easy feat. This was my first and definitely not my last time visiting the restaurant. I love Thai food and loved everything we ordered. We had spring rolls to start and tried a couple different curries. I got Massaman curry and it was absolutely delectable! We also tried the yellow curry and pad Thai which were also delicious! They have lunch specials and the pricing was reasonable.

My favorite Thai restaurant is still making the best food and providing the best service. I ordered the "Drunken Noodles". Sorry I can't remember the Thai name for it but it was "lick the plate" good.

A small restaurant in an odd parking strip this close to a couple lower-tier hotels has no right being this good. It's been a long time since I had khao soi this tasty: I devoured it. It compared to what I used to get in Seattle. Service was quick, attentive, and polite. Really impressed and pleased. If you're staying at one of the hotels in this area, stop in!

Located by a gas station, it gave hole-in-the-wall vibes. However, once you walk in, you are greeted with the absolute friendliest service. The people working here are SO nice. There was plenty of seating in the restaurant and so we didn't have to wait at all. The food was really yummy -- we had shrimp summer (fresh) rolls and it was great. We also really enjoyed our pad thai and kao soi chicken thighs. Their portions were decently large and I had leftovers to take home. The prices were definitely reasonable as well, given the yumminess and high quality. We don't live close to it, but would definitely come back again if we are passing by.

I'm giving two full stars for service from the ENTIRE staff. The best service and appreciation I have had hands down since moving to utah. They basically spoil you and they deserve your repeat business. Another star for ambiance and cleanliness. Cute date place for sure. Very clean and cool vibes Now to the food. Potstickers are deep fried sadly. Most that are, are usually frozen. These were also I strongly believe. The sauce didn't taste like anything but improved after I spiced it up. Tom Yum...medium hot was my request and it was on point with that request. The veggies and chicken were perfect. Sadly I strongly believe this was only semi homemade. Possibly a store bought flavor packet deal. Didn't have vibes or depth of something simmering for hours should have. I would get this again if I happened to be here but wouldn't go out of my way. It was good just not authentic enough for me. The portion, although small, was more than I could even eat and it was packed with more than average veggies and chicken.

What kind of waiter sees an accidentally spilled Thai Tea from a 6yr old and his grandfather and not offer a new one? My hubby & Father IN law and son were seated in the booth. My father in law who has Parkinson's disease and my 6 yr old son went to grab the drink at the same time and it spilled. I was in the car while our baby was sleeping so I asked. Did they offer you a new one and he said no. What kind of service is that ? For the amount of money we spent, the restaurant they can afford to offer a new glass

Very casual and comfortable. Service could not have been better. They are very attentive to customers' satisfaction. I had one of the 5 curries and it was great. Choose your spicy level. I will be back any time I'm in the SLC area. I can't wait to try other dishes.

I wish I could give Aroon Thai Kitchen 10 stars! I've been there 4 times this week! I tried the Mango Sticky Rice!!! Oh, my heavens! I think it was $10 which is more than I usually spend for a dessert, but it was worth every penny!!! I would make a special trip just for it!!! I've tried most of the curries and love them all. I feel so comfortable in the dining space!! What really makes this place extra special is the service! I look forward to seeing Peter and his staff! I feel like they are long lost family! I see why the won Best of State this year. I'll be returning soon!

We were one of the last tables of the night and they treated us wonderfully, even bringing out a dessert and birthday card for one of our party who was celebrating a special day. The food was fast and flavorful and enjoyed by all. Couldn't have asked for more!

We ordered fresh rolls with shrimp, chicken pad Thai, and chicken massaman curry. Everything was phenomenal. Fresh rolls came with a peanut sauce - my boyfriend and I agree that its probably the best peanut sauce w ever had. After going with my boyfriend, I brought two friends back about a week later. Tried the Pad See Ew. Delicious! Fantastic service both times!! Highly recommend this spot.

That was some amazing Thai food - everything was super delicious and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. This was some of the best Thai food I've eaten in UT.

Was so excited to finally try Aroon Thai Kitchen! I went in and ordered some food to take home, and sat and waited for them to prepare it. The family who owns this restaurant and everyone who works here is so incredibly friendly and welcoming. One of the owners brought me a glass of water without me even asking, while I waited! We ordered red curry with chicken and pad thai. The red curry was my favorite of the two dishes. I can't wait to return and try some of their other favorites!

We stopped in here one evening during the week at dinner time on a whim. It was quite a surprise to be in a restaurant with such good food and so few customers. At first I was worried, but the service and the food put my fears at ease. We have since been back a couple times and each time the food has no disappointed. The boat noodles was fantastic, the chicken satay, the massaman curry, and the old fashioned pad ka pow are all solid choices and the sweet roti is a great light dessert to finish off dinner with! I almost always ask for the fish sauce with chilis to dip things in also (it doesn't seem to come with every dish) but beware! Those chilis - though tiny - can be HOT! So so so delicious though! The ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that when I've ordered the beef pad ka pow, the meat was quite tough. I've only ordered it once though, so I'm not sure if that's a normal issue or not, but it was definitely good enough that I'll be back to order it again at some point! The servers were all super friendly and attentive. I'll be back many times to try the rest of their menu for sure!
