My wife and I really enjoyed this spot! We were looking for a centrally located, affordable private room and this was it. There is a lovely shared kitchen with a MASSIVE selection of free-use spices that helped us cook without needing to buy spices and seasonings. The shower water was hot and the water pressure was perfect. The bed was not too firm or too soft. We would recommend anyone who is comfortable with (clean!) shared bathrooms stay here.

Nice and social hostel at convenient location! Easy to get to from the airport with just one bus. Also another bus line straight to the beach from just outside the hostel basically. Big kitchen with lots of good areas to hang out in. The bathrooms are clean and well kept after! Recommend!

For me it’s one of the nicest hostels so far. The rooms (dorms, kitchen, bathrooms) are really clean and the location is awesome. Just a short walk to the city center but still not that much traffic especially during the night. I meet a lot of friendly people here. Would definitely recommend :)

What a great hostel ! Not for from the CBD but away enough to be quiet. Having free parking is also a big plus ! The smaller size of this hostel and kind owner makes a really nice atmosphere. Really enjoyable for a longer stay as the kitchen is not overly crowded and you can just chill in the backyard when you fill like it

I stayed at around the world for the last week and it was the perfect place during a time of transition. I wasn’t sure of my plans and Chay the owner was very flexible and patient when I kept needing to extend my stay. Leading up to a busy long weekend, he came to find me and let me know there was only one bed left the following night so that I could extend my stay again and not have to leave the next morning with nowhere to go since all the hostels in town were booked out which was so thoughtful. The hostel is clean, and has a very homey vibe. The kitchen has a big table and there is a big backyard with ample seating which provides lots of opportunities to meet people. It’s not a party hostel so it is quiet and calm, but plenty of opportunities to socialize and play cards or head out into town with new friends. There are also super cute chickens in the yard and free parking in the city centre!! Can’t beat the location, 10 minute walk to the main shopping, bars, restaurants and the market isn’t much further.

Perfect place to stay in Christchurch. Located close to many place of interest in the center of the city. The room and bathroom are very clean and functional (plenty of place to charge devices !) There is a good atmosphere, particularly in the garden which is great to hang out with (the chicken are adorable). The owner is very accessible. I recommend greatly !

A great small hostel with excellent clean facilities! My friend and I love the fact that it is small as we have been able to talk to all the lovely staff and other guests! It is a perfect distance from the city and the garden and chickens are so cute!! Loving our stay here!

Amazing hostel to stay few days or even few months ! The rooms, bathrooms and kitchens are really clean. The best part of this hostel was the garden with a training bars. And the Animal move was a very good a d fun experience 👍🏼
