The bedroom was new and clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was roomy enough. Unfortunately our room was just in front of the breakfast room so noise started very early around 5:00 am for employees to prepare the dishes. Nights were short all the more as it was difficult to fall asleep at night because of the slamming doors and people walking by our door. (That’s much more a problem of respect rather than the responsibility of the hotel). As far as breakfast is concerned: it was just perfect (crusted Danish were excellent). The location of the hotel is great and all the people working in Arran were helpful and nice. That’s a lovely place.

We really enjoy the atmosphere of this kind of old style hotel and we love the location, close to the university and the British museum. Room was small and the stair is steep, but it did not bother us.|The service is excellent, staff very kind, room and bathroom clean, bed comfortable and the price is reasonable. Nice continental breakfast is included, with fresh fruits and eggs. We will certainly come back and advise friends to try the arran house hotel.

Pros; Great staff, good service in room, clean room, great location—central and walkable. They gave us ground floor due to mobility. Cons; there was a lot of scent at first and then a pipe smell—not horrible but noticeable. Also, if you have any mobility issues, you will jot be able to get to breakfast and hot coffee (instant in room). The stairs to “cafe” are steep & narrow and no lifts. Then, the cafe room is very tight to get through and it was packed when we were there (in January). So we gave up and bought food & coffee at the cafe across the street. Overall, likely a fair price, $146 usd/night for the place in any case. Would have preferred an option to save a little to opt out of difficult breakfast. Thank You!

The staff were friendly and checking in was very simple. I was also able to leave my bags before check in and after check out which was excellent as I had meetings in the locality. My room was small but I was lucky enough to be allocated one with a small outside space too. This was an amazing extra and good for fresh air when I got up in the morning. The bathroom was compact, but the shower worker well. Some tlc would not go amiss, like refreshing and replacing the carpets as they let down the cleanliness which had obviously been tried for. Breakfast was varied and even with my restricted diet I managed to find food to eat.

Enjoyed our stay. On the positive side: 1. The room was very comfortable, clean, nice bed and ample space. 2. The breakfast staff were excellent and great at keeping items stocked; polite and friendly. Plenty of good if simple food. 3. Front desk staff were also always nice and helpful. Only a few suggestions to improve: 1. Replenish coffee, tea, and milk in room each day. We ran out a few times and had to go to the front desk to get them. 2. Make sure there are fresh towels in the room. The house keepers sometimes took towels but did not leave fresh towels so we had to ask for towels at the desk. 3. It seems the mini fridge would turn off when we were away from the room. It would be much better if it kept items cold all day. But great to have the fridge. We will come back, nice place and great location.

The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The location was convenient, close to several tourist attractions. Breakfast, for London, was excellent and delicious, in my opinion. I appreciated the daily towel change. The heating was excellent, and the shower water was always hot, contrary to what several reviews had suggested. Unfortunately, there were some downsides: the bathroom smelled bad, the carpet wasn't cleaned properly, and the sheet, and especially the sheet upon our arrival, was stained. Overall, the cleanliness wasn't the best.

Absolutely loved our short stay in the Arran house hotel. Staff were friendly. We booked a basic double room with shared bathroom option, which initially I was very sceptical about. Thankfully we had a very pleasant stay and always found the bathroom clean and unoccupied. Our room was snug in size but clean and welcoming. Breakfast was served in the basement dining area which felt a little cramped but was nevertheless very nice and a great start to our busy days of sightseeing. The hotels location is amazing especially for the budget price. Walking distance from Euston station and a manageable walk from the London eye, big Ben Oxford Street, to name but a few. On a whole I would definitely recommend this hotel, it's a lovely budget hotel and great value for money.

My wife found this place online and it was an impromptu visit to London. It was great. Yes the room was a little small and we have never used a shared bathroom before but honestly don't let that put you off. It was a nice 20 min walk into the city and about 8 mins from Euston station. We loved it. Will definitely use again and would Definitely recommend. We paid £150 for two people for two nights and that Included a breakfast. The staff were more than pleasant and everyone of them greeted us a smile. A beautiful building with loads of history. What a place. See you again very soon 😁😁
