Arribas Sintra Hotel

We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay over the Christmas period. Rooms were simple but clean, good bedding, nice sized bathroom with copious amounts of hot water. We were in room 307 which had a good sized terrace with chairs overlooking the fantastic ocean. We had breakfast every day in the restaurant, which was very scenic, and the selection of food was fantastic, everything you could want. We had dinner twice there, one night being Christmas Eve, then a huge buffet lunch on Christmas Day - many congratulations to the chef!! The staff were so welcoming and attentive from reception to restaurant to cafe bar, they are a credit to the hotel. We had a great time, thank you one and all. Happy New Year!

Wouldn’t recommend this hotel – terrible service, uncomfortable rooms, disappointing restaurant 😭😭😭 1. Confusing floor numbering If you book a “sea view” room on the first floor, be aware that their first floor is actually the ground floor, meaning your view will be mostly of the pool, some walls, and just a tiny bit of the ocean. And their “0” floor is actually the 1st… Makes no sense. 2. Poor service and uncomfortable rooms The staff constantly forgets requests, the rooms are not particularly clean, and the bedding is so odd that getting a good night’s sleep is a challenge. The ventilation is terrible—it’s always hot and stuffy, even with the windows open. 3. The restaurant is a disaster While a couple of dishes are decent, most of the food is average at best. Service is painfully slow — you won’t be able to have a meal in under 1.5 hours. Sometimes, dishes are undercooked, and the staff doesn’t offer recommendations or assistance. Final verdict: The only great thing about this place is the location. So, if you really want to enjoy the area, just book an Airbnb nearby—you’ll have a much better experience.

Love the location and the room with view over the beach.||We booked for one night to experience something other than Lisboa and Sintra city environment. Liked it so much when we decided to stay an extra night.||Coming in December it’s off season so room was not used for a while, it needed some ventilation. We loved the view and the service. ||The restaurant was off season but still very fresh and nice food. ||Guess this is fully booked during summer so happy to be able to enjoy this spot off season

We had a wonderful, special time at the Arribas from the moment we arrived. Pedro greeted us warmly at the reception desk and did not stop smiling as he explained all that was available for us at the hotel. We instantly felt relaxed and excited to be there. We had the most wonderful room which was extremely comfortable, private and relaxing. We didn't want to leave! We had drinks and then dinner at the hotel which was excellent. The service was professional and friendly. The food was delicious. The buffet breakfast was a real treat. The location was perfect and we are looking at returning with our family at some point in the future. Thank you!

We, a family of 4, had a very pleasant stay at the Arribas Sintra hotel. 4 days of recovery by the sound of the ocean and a beautiful beach, a great pool to take a swim and getting wet by some big waves and the praia grande. |The family room with 2 separate rooms were very good. A nice breakfast buffet and a very good restaurant for dinner completing the experience. The only thing I was missing was a better coffee for breakfast.

I stayed at your hotel for one night. I came to the restaurant in the evening to drink tea and eat dessert. No one met me at the entrance. I sat down at a free table. After 5 minutes, a waitress came up to me. She said that this table was reserved (although there was no sign) and asked me to move to another one. I moved. Then I started to order dessert, but the waitress replied that dessert can only be eaten at the bar. This means I have to move again. Also, the renovation does not correspond to the level of a 4-star hotel. I want to leave your hotel as soon as possible

Staying at this hotel was so amazing. At our arrival there was a person who gave us a tour through the facility. His name is Pedro. He was at the front desk. We will definitely go back to this hotel. We prefer the low season when is more quiet and walking on the beach was so relaxing. The time we were at the hotel was last week of October 2024.

Our stay was near-perfect. The room was spacious and came with a mini fridge, with an amazing view from the balcony, and great water pressure in the shower. The service exceeded expectations every day, we were really taken care of here. We had half board with buffet breakfast and set menu dinner. The food was all fresh and delicious. The only thing was the hard mattress in the room. Otherwise the stay was fabulous.

This is a great hotel located on the coast. The rooms were spacious and the views are gorgeous! Every room has an ocean view. It was nice to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean in the background. There is an air conditioner in the room, but we weren't sure if it was working as it did not seem to cool in the room.Not to worry as there is a fan in the room...only we did not have the fan control.We had to request one from the front desk. Kind of strange, but no big deal. Our tv remote control would only change the channel in one direction, but again, not a deal breaker. Now for the good stuff: the pool was amazing. We were here in the month of September.The water was definitely chilly, but there were a few occasions where we had it all to ourselves as it appears to be the end of the season. You must request pool towels from the hotel desk as there are none located near the pool.They have nice bathroom and locker room facilities near the pool. The pool is open to the public for a fee as well. There is a cafe just a few steps away that you can order food at and bring to the pool as long as there are no glass items (for examples: cups). The room itself was spacious.The bathroom was modern.Wasn't fond of the toilet being right behind the door which would hit a person on the can if another person were to enter. The soap dispenser attached to the wall needs to be closer to the end you shower on (it is a long shower). We had the family suite which had two twins in the front room and one king in the other. Plenty of room for a family of four. The complimentary breakfast consisted of fruits, pastries (glazed doughnuts, breads, muffins, croissants), cereal and a few hot items like bacon, eggs, mushrooms, something that looks like mini hotdogs (not sausage), and boiled eggs. You can sit out by the water or inside, but the outside tables are usually taken as they afford beach/ocean views.Not to worry though as you can see them inside as well. If you are trying to get an UBER, forget about it! We had four people cancel on us minutes after accepting us. After speaking with the front desk, we were informed that due to the fact that this hotel is located further out from town, UBER drivers will typically accept ride requests not realizing that it is further out than originally anticipated.The solution? You have to order a taxi in advance from the front desk. If you are trying to go to Azenhas do Mar, you can also take the 441 bus but make note there are two buses that go to different places and depending during the time of year, they may only come once a an hour if that!We tried to go to Azenhas do Mar and waited well over an hour with no results. Despite the little nuisances, we still really liked this hotel. It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy the beach and surf views with the locals. I would definitely stay here again, but will prepare accordingly.

stayed here for 2 nights in late August. we were going to a wedding in Sintra so this hotel was very convenient. the rooms were spacious and spotless. the staff are very friendly and anyone we dealt with was a pleasure and made the effort to speak English with us. breakfast both mornings was delicious and we had bar food the firs night which was tasty.

great hotel! we happen to stumble across this hotel last minute and were very pleased. the rooms all have ocean views and were super clean and modern with a balcony! the parking was great to. the staff was very helpful. its located in a prime area with plenty of food and places to get a drink.
