The food tasted amazing. Unfortunately, neither the service nor the price lived up to the same level. over 20 dollars for a "typical plate" of food. 2 tiny sausages, and one small piece of steak. There were so many waiters, and yet, none seemed to ever do anything. you would ask one for something and they would say they would get it, but never come back. then youd ask another, and theyd say yes, and then never come back. Happened with drinks, condiments, silverware, wifi password, etc. It took at least 3 requests for each before someone would actually bring it.

A great way to dive into the Guatemalan vibe, though it can get a bit intense. Lots of Marimba music and other tunes I couldn’t quite place (especially on Sundays when the Marimba is in full swing). I’ve always thought Latin Americans have a higher tolerance for noise, and yeah they really do. The music was so loud I couldn’t even focus on my food. At least everyone seemed happy, and we got to watch people dancing like they were completely swept up in the moment. We ordered a dish that came with four different soups, but the flavors were mostly misses some too salty, others a bit too sweet. Not disastrous, but you can definitely find better elsewhere. Maybe it was just our choice from the menu, so I’d consider giving it another shot with a different dish? Still, the owner and staff were really nice and attentive.

As part of the Guatemala City tour arranged by the Norwegian Cruise Line, we were taken for lunch at this restaurant. The place was a bit cramped due to the influx of people from our tour bus. The food quality was average, and the menu offered a satisfactory variety of dishes. Adding a musical element to our dining experience, a live band performed during lunch. While the ambiance was lively, the volume was a bit on the louder side. For those interested, beer was available for purchase. Despite the challenges posed by the large crowd, the staff made earnest efforts to cater to our needs. Overall, the restaurant was decent, though the limited space and the loud music were noticeable aspects of our visit.

I wish I had found this place before tonight! I had a delicious chicken sandwich and a tasty beer to go with it in a quiet and beautiful restaurant environment. Will definitely come back here before I leave Guatemala!

If you come to Guatemala you have to go here. I had Lomito a la Español (Spanish-style tenderloin which means tenderloin bathed in olive oil and garlic). I think I got it medium (I didn't really understand the waiter). Looking at the picture (left to right) I had guacamole with 3 chips, the tenderloin surrounded by olives and pickles, and french fries. The guacamole was very good; it had good flavor. The tenderloin was delicious. It was almost perfect to chew, SLIGHTLY too hard, but the flavor was amazing. Nice and juicy, salty, and delicious. The fries were--let's just say they might have been the best fries I've ever had. It's hard to find the words to describe them. Let's start with texture: they were very crunchy..but the inside was soft.. It was the perfect combination of crunchy and soft, bringing a divine texture. The flavor was beautiful. The oil they were fried in was delicious and they weren't too salty. My coke was delicious but it was pretty warm in the restaurant so it didn't stay cold as long as I would have liked. They also served everyone a vegetable soup that was delectable. It was so creamy and full of flavor. I would've eaten more of it but I wanted to save room for the tenderloin. The only downsides to this restaurant were: 1. They didn't have limonada con soda 2. They had live music that was too loud. Despite these minor inconveniences, it was by far a 5 star restaurant.

Very good authentic Guatemalan cuisine. Great customer service & traditional restaurant ambiance. Patron parking available directly across from the restaurant. Make sure you validate your parking ticket.

Authentic delicious Guatemalan food near the city center. Great music and ambiance. Beautiful decor and great service!

Please try. I believe this is a positive and good representation of Guatemalan hospitality and cuisine. Decent pricing. Closed by 9 PM on Sunday when I visited.
