SONOMA COUNTY CITY GUIDE

"We are passionate about crafting the most distinctive Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County has to offer. For more than three decades, we’ve been sourcing grapes from throughout this uniquely diverse growing region, where terroir ranges from steep mountain slopes to lower-lying hillsides and benchlands. Our experience in Sonoma County has allowed us to identify three AVAs where Cabernet Sauvignon takes on its most powerful terroir-driven expressions: Knights Valley, Alexander Valley, and Sonoma Valley."

The wines were incredible, and John was a wonderful host! He offered great descriptions and context for everything we tasted, and knowledgeably answered all of our questions about the winemaking process. The building itself is clean, beautiful and inviting — with lovely views of the vineyard and hills. So glad this was one of our stops!

An absolute treasure in Sonoma County. Skip all the mess in Napa and come here. It’s gorgeous; the view is unbelievable. You can see across the valley from their tasting room. I am a member here and I make the two hour drive any chance I get. The wine is incredible and very well known. Highly recommend visiting and becoming a member.

Talk about views!! We had such a great time here with a one on one tasting with John. He is extremely knowledgeable, not only of the wines, but also of the area in general. He did such an incredible job describing the wines and the region. He also showed exemplary hospitality and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time while in Sonoma.

We had a great experience at Arrowood for our engagement. Dave was super accommodating to our friends who were joining us spur of the moment and was quite knowledgeable about the wines as well. Would highly recommend this spot for anyone seeking good wines, amazing views and friendly service. Thanks Dave!

Farmhouse setting with vineyard views. Strong collection of classic reds and commendable Carneros Chardonnay. Cabernet Sauvignons take starring role beside worth-the-visit "Prowess" Bordeaux blend and spice-tinged Malbec. Smart, amiable wine servers.

Having last visited Arrowood in 2019, we were excited to return. Although the incredible views are still there, the overall high end experience has declined. It's now "reservation only" (aka mimimally staffed.) If you try to stop for a walk in, the doors are literally locked with a phone number that no one answers. The wines were good in the Reserve tasting, but $65 is steep given they are metered pours. It's, unfortunately, clear their large corporate parent has come in with a focus on costs. There are far better wineries for the tasting price.

We stopped in for our anniversary and enjoyed excellent cab and even better service by David.
