Arroyo Burro Beach County Park

Great place! Very good for families with kids. There are bathrooms, beach showers. The park has picnic area, grills, place for games. Left side of the beach allows dogs. There is a self service dog wash. It has a beautiful overview (the stairs to it are behind the restaurant). The restaurant is pretty good with indoor and outdoor seating with good view. Free parking. During high season might be difficult to find a parking spot.

Love this dog beach — we come here often! Great space for dogs to run and swim, and the vibe is always friendly. Only downside: sometimes there’s oil tar on the sand, so be ready to clean paws after. Still one of our favorite spots!

Love this beach! It’s a DOG beach Y’all! Off-leash dog heaven where they can play in the surf and chase birds and play with other dogs. Be mindful of your dog(s). It’s open ocean out there. It’s fabulous and they have dog washing stations in the parking lot! Perfection 😎

Love this beach! There's an off leash area where they can play in the surf, and an easy to use washing station near the overflow parking to get all the salt off. Everyone was very responsible and friendly!

We loved walking along this beautiful beach. We sought it out because we were missing our dogs who had to stay home. 😃 We came across friendly, casual dog people and their pups. Arrived mid morning and enjoyed the fog and waves, it was so beautiful. We appreciate that it is a public beach and also loved the walk to the adjacent Douglas Family Preserve. We watched para sailers and we think we saw a couple of dolphins pop up (that's our story and we are sticking to it! 😁). Had lunch at The Boathouse right on the beach and it was sooo good. Oh! And there is a "waiting area for pets" while their human(s) eat. So fun and so California❣️All in all, it was the best way to take advantage of our little dose of beach time!

Enjoy beautiful sunsets, mild surf, and the convenient Boathouse restaurant right on the sand. A fantastic spot for families and relaxation!

Have you tried starlight train? It was a comfortable experience ever that you can enjoy the PCH costal view in panoramic view, and go to Santa Barbara. A restaurant I forgot the name is right on the beach, getting some drink, and food. We enjoyed walking this beach from the preserve. There is a section for leashed dogs and unleashed dogs. I found a ton of sea glass and there is a lot of driftwood as well. There is free parking but it's limited.
