Arroyo Seco Golf Course is an absolute gem that offers a fantastic experience for golfers of all skill levels. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by an awesome staff who truly elevate the experience. They're not only friendly and welcoming but also knowledgeable and eager to help, making sure your visit is nothing short of exceptional. The course itself is a blast to play. It’s beautifully maintained and strikes the perfect balance between being fun and challenging. The layout is creative, with plenty of variety to keep you on your toes. The greens, however, are the real stars of the show. They're tough, tricky, and will test every ounce of your putting skills. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself laughing (or groaning) as your ball takes an unexpected break—these greens are no joke! Overall, Arroyo Seco Golf Course is the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again. Whether you’re out for a casual round or looking to sharpen your skills, this course has it all. Highly recommend!

Really fun par 3 course. Don't let the short distances fool you. The tricky pin placements and undulating greens make for a nice challenge.

This review is from a an amateur/leisure golfer and this is probably one of my favorite 18 hole courses. It’s definitely an excellent spot for my level of play. It’s all mainly par 3’s and it’s a walking course. The greens are well kept and it’s a great way to work on your short game. You’ll usually shoot from the green pad but I think you can use a rubber tee if you want. It’s a very narrow course and be mindful when people yell “four” in this course because there’s a chance you might get hit. I got hit in the stomach with a ball from the tee and luckily I had a lot of cushion in the abdominal area. I’d definitely come back here again and the driving range is also pretty good and average. There’s also a miniature golf area which I haven’t tried yet. I highly recommend this spot.

The course is super well maintained. Fun par 3 to play. The problem is the staff in the pro shop is the rudest staff I have ever seen at a golf course. The staff was difficult right from the start when we arrived to pay. We were a group of 6, so we started as 2 separate 3somes. A few holes in there was nobody behind us so we decided to play together and play a 3v3 scramble. We played the front 9 like this and made sure nobody behind us was ever close to waiting on us. (They were 2-3 holes behind us and we were playing faster than them since we were playing a scramble). We are all decent golfers and took care of the course and were not loud or drinking or anything. After the 9th hole the staff came out and was extremely rude in the way they told us to split back up. I tried to explain that we were being very mindful of people around us and the staff turned and walked away as I was trying to respectfully talk to him. I would have loved to explain we’re part of a wedding party and trying to get to know the other side of the family. I worked at a private country club a few years ago and can’t imagine ever treating someone the way my group was treated today. There’s a mini golf course here lol I figured it would be a bit more family friendly 😂😂. The staff here must be making $550 an hour with the power trip they were on for absolutely no reason. Again the course is maintained well. The grounds crew does a great job, it was just the 2 people in the pro shop that were extremely rude from the start. When golf is usually full of the most kind and respectful people our group was pretty shocked we were confronted with such a “holier than thou” attitude from a par 3 course with a mini golf course next to the 18th green. $26 a person for no cart at a par 3 course to get treated like trash is wild. We will never be back

Very nice Par 3 18 hole golf course.

Google
This course is plenty nice compared to others in the area honestly think it’s better kept than brookside but my only qualm is the driving range! Something as simple as adding ONE back light to the range would truly make this a five star course but l like driving in the evening when it’s cooler but once the sun goes down you can basically only work on chipping within the 50- 75 yard range because once you start approaching 100 yards you WILL lose sight of your ball. So if you’re like me and like driving at night or early evening some place else maybe more conducive to your needs

Google
One of my favorite par 3 courses in the Los Angeles area. A challenging course for all levels. They also have a mini golf course as well as a driving range. The course is shady in the summer and you can see the leaves change in spring and winter.

H. R. C.

Google
Nice hide a way minutes from downtown LA. Friendly staff. The course is well maintained. Great for the short game. Lots of shade trees. Nice driving range. All range balls looks fairly new.

Mo m.

Yelp
Played an early morning round here. Loved it. Actually want to keep this spot as under the radar as possible for selfish reasons but here we are writing a positive review. Staff is friendly and helpful and the course will well kept. Looking forward to the next round here. Parking is limited but they have a small driving range and putting area to warm up.

Nancy S.

Yelp
Short Review: Conveniently-located 18- hole 3-par golf course with an accompanying driving range and 9-hole miniature golf course. Long Review: This course has a special place in my heart. I grew up playing miniature golf here as a little kid, then took my first "big girl" lessons when I was 8 years old. I came here with a friend recently to warm up on the driving range ahead of a golf tournament we were playing in. A bucket of balls is reasonably priced and there's plenty of space to hit away. The executive course is beautiful but not challenging. If you're looking to just catch up with friends, then I'd recommend it. And of course, the miniature golf is a fun celebration for a kids party, or adults acting like kids.

Jordan N.

Yelp
Only positive is that the course was well maintained. Staff was unbelievably rude and confrontational. It was truly astounding the way that we were treated. I will never be back.

Cynthia P.

Yelp
9 hole mini golf was fun for kids but course is not well maintained. There are rips near the holes where the balls are supposed to roll into so there's more unpredictability and gardener was spraying everything down before we played, causing a large puddle in a part of the course. Our golf balls kept falling into the brown puddle and then we had to use our hands to pick up the golf balls after hitting them in the hole. Yuck. Bring disposable gloves... Ant Hill is crazy difficult and it's only the 3rd hole lol Adult and child admission rate is the same. Parking lot available.

Anita P.

Yelp
Pros: Very few people when we played. The course is extremely clean. The holes are somewhat difficult which added to the fun. Cons: while clean, the holes and the castles, windmills, etc., are somewhat dated and worn but still fun. It was pretty expensive for a dated and very short course. Would I go again? Probably.

Dimas D.

Yelp
It's fun little par 3 course hidden in South Pasadena. I took my son there to practice for a tournament and I got to work on my short game. Greens are full of moon shot holes but what par 3 course isn't? This is a great pace to play with your youngsters who want to learn the game. We had one stray drive land next to us, but that is to be expected as you're playing a small course and hence there are lots of amateurs. Just keep your head on a swivel and stay aware of the other golfers while you're out there and you'll be fine.

Rox P.

Yelp
Great little local mini golf place. The holes are pretty tight together so if you are a full group you may get people waiting on you, hanging out right next you.

Christian D.

Yelp
Look, I came here with the love of my life and had the best time of my life. To be completely honest, I'm the double champ of both mini golf and bowling, so I wasn't surprised when I got a hole in one literally every single time. I'm assuming it's just a testament to my greatness as a competitor. I fully recommend you come here to have a good time. Just another memory to add to the list!

Josue C.

Yelp
I'm the guy who had the club leave his hands. I preface this by saying it was a complete accident and my hands were sweaty. I told Eric the unfortunate news and he was very understanding. We both had a laugh and he gave me another club. I enjoyed the rest of my stay there. Really great service over all!

Jason H.

Yelp
Its a shame this course does not support the future of golf, our kids. Its a par 3 and mini golf set up, why not? My daughters now 12, we live near this course but never plays it. Its been a couple years, probably since the last time I wrote a review for this course. She was 10 back then , and the staff there wanted her to go out and play by herself since that was their policy. I ended up paying like $30 to walk with her. I tried to tell them I dont play golf, I dont even own clubs. I took my daughter there recently to hit some overpriced YOC balls (other courses its $2 for a medium bucket) and asked if their policy was the same? its still the same! They dont have any restrictions of letting a 9 or 10 year old go by themselves but would charge their mom or dad the full price to supervise. Why not a separate spectator fee? like $10-$15. Ive seen other full size course do that. Overpriced and not kid friendly. Go to Arcadia Par 3, theyre a better deal and lit at night as well!

Jasmine R.

Yelp
We had a cute little date at the mini golf area. We are able to get a seltzer as we played golf. We then took a walk at the trail in front of the golf course. Mini golf area can be remodeled, but still nice experience.

Justin F.

Yelp
I'm born and raised in this neighborhood and grew up playing this course. I actually hit this range at least once a week. I show up today at 5pm to just get a little round in to show a friend some swing tips on the course, and they're charging $30!!!!! for a 5pm tee time, and the sun is already setting!!! on golf now website the tee time is going for $19. this is just insane to me, that the course was charging that amount at that time. smh

Kenny O.

Yelp
I've been in South pasadena all my life, this place has always been a little rough but now it's not even looked after. Ripped greens, Debris all over the greens, some of the holes done work so they have rocks over them. It be worth it for $5 but $11 is a joke. I hope they can give this place some TLC.

Ana S.

Yelp
We were disappointed. Very small fun Golf Plus I Told my husband. Why so many Adults here.

Michael K.

Yelp
Went for mini golf, price was $11 / person. There were 9 holes and lasted just under 1 hour for two people game It was fun but for $11/person I expected the mini golf area to be maintained and cleaned. All holes were old with cracks/ripped greens had leaves, branches, and ginkgo fruits all over Worth the visit if it gets a bit more attention on the maintenance.

Natalie S.

Yelp
Cute 9 hole mini golf course. Enjoyed my time and will definitely come back again to use the driving range as well.

Phillip L.

Yelp
Great place to golf if you're not into much of a hurry. Greens are a little rough, but then you pay for what you get. Prices are getting higher and best to take your own snacks.

Jared L.

Yelp
This review is for Eric! He was a real one and was so patient and fun. He was understanding when I saw someone swing a club into the range, and I heard their conversation. Very welcoming and warm service, hope to see him next visit. TRULY A GOAT‼

Samantha W.

Yelp
Came for the mini golf. 9 holes. Nothing special, pretty dated and there's no evening lights so we ended up finishing in the dark. But we had the place to ourselves and it was still fun. I'd say it's a 3.5 overall.

Shelley D.

Yelp
Mini Golf Review Only: Went here for a friend's birthday and it was so much fun. There is a tiny mini golf course here which is very cheap. I can't tell if it's dated or quaint and charming, so I'm going to go with utterly charming. A great way to spend a double date and use up an hour or two with some low grade competition.

Diane S.

Yelp
Clean family fun, cheap, just a good lil fun place. Old skool, no frills, free parking, got a food shack so check hours but been closed each time we go. No drinks or food on course. "Real" golf course for serious players next to it. Due to some obnoxious undisciplined kids yelling like playing soccer not golf, I suggested the management posts a site rules besides no outside food like watch your kids, code of conduct for golf ( fun but not screaming & hitting balls like baseball where others have repeatedly duck). Would've been a better day but we'll try again when weather's really cold- less kids

Jiffy I.

Yelp
Love the ease of this local course. Plus the driving range is always easy to get on. The landscaping is pretty but the tee boxes are kinda gnarly. I really wish they would reopen the cafe!

John R.

Yelp
Starter was a complete ass hole. Took my daughter golfing and was rude, unfriendly, and not accommodating. As we finally got on the course, the course was a complete mess. Don't play here.

Peter H.

Yelp
What a sad waist of a diamond in the rough. Whoever is managing this course should be fired. Only night golf in the Pasadena/ Glendale area, the lights are only on Thursday - Sunday and half of which don't work. Restaurant is still closed, green fees and range buckets are way over priced and the staff sucks. Rude and annoyed that you're there.

Angel S.

Yelp
Used to love this course. However, since the new ownership the lights don't work and they are overpriced. Just paid $30 to shoot in the dark on several holes on the back 9. No bueno.

Grantland U.

Yelp
Nice course but it's a little pricey for a 3 par. Really beautiful area, although the little creek forces me to get my feet wet searching for balls. Something must be wrong with the tees here because I can't seem to ever hit the ball straight.

Dessirae M.

Yelp
Perfect date night! Not too busy, everyone plays mini golf at their own pace. Went on a Friday evening around 6pm pricing is $11 person person.

Alison J.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. Monday at 1:23 pm June 19th. Starter lied to us about when we were up. Told us to go after the next twosome and then walks out and says now we're behind another threesome. Also allowed a single and a twosome back to back without joining up on a holiday. NO golf courses allow singles when this busy. When I asked about it the female starter delivers a very rude dismissive response loaded with unprofessional attitude. While leaving another 4some asked if we "also received" this attitude. We weren't the only ones getting treated by this duo. Plenty of other small courses to play. So long Arroyo.

Pat C.

Yelp
Greens never looked better. Fairways are beautiful New toilets for the Ladies. Oh my! Too bad new toilets are already turning urine yellow. Ask Sysco for Toilet Bowl cleaner....please. Thanks

Angel G.

Yelp
Went in person only to find out they close an hour early after I checked online that they close at 9, the response I got was very unprofessional and it was " well we are in our car leaving at 9". Can you guys please update times online so there won't be any inconveniences for other people in the future or unprofessional responses?

Kristen T.

Yelp
We came here for mini golf! It was 9 holes. We had a great time! It was $11 per person, which was really affordable, and the course was interesting. We came at around 3:30pm and it was full, but not crowded. We didn't really have to wait to play the next hole. By the time we left at around 4:30/5, it was basically empty. It's a pretty small area and the structures are a little run down and could use some re-painting. Overall, it's a nice and pretty fun way to spend an hour with friends.

A C.

Yelp
My six year old daughter and I had fun playing a couple rounds of mini-golf. We enjoyed ourselves and even went back to hole #1 to start all over again.

bebe c.

Yelp
Wow, it's been a few years since we have been but now the mini golf course has really gone down in quality. The greens need to be renovated. I can see paying $7 for it previously but now They increased the price to $11. Not worth it. Also the bathrooms are horribly dirty. This is so sad because we used to come here a lot.

Tim H.

Yelp
As I was driving down Monterey Rd, my car was struck by an errant golf ball from the driving range. The netting they have is clearly not working. It only dented my hood but was close to coming through windshield or drivers side window. Fix your netting!

Jennifer Y.

Yelp
This review is just for the mini-golf. It was 9 holes and wasn't too crowded on a Sunday afternoon so we didn't have to wait too long between each hole. Pros: $7 per person ($4 for a second round) and plenty of parking. Cons: The course is messily built and old. My ball bounced back out of the hole at almost every hole and don't let me get started on the 3rd hole... It was super frustrating! It's not a difficult hole but it is built badly. It's slanted so you basically end up taking shots from the same spot whenever you miss. All the other holes took me ~3 shots but this one took me 25 LOL I haven't tried any other mini golf courses in LA but I have in other cities and those have been way better. This is probably better for kids.

Daniel G.

Yelp
Just want to start off by saying this is my first time even playing mini golf or being at a driving range. Had lots of fun with my friend but the girl that was ringing us up for stuff had the biggest attitude. I first asked for a pink ball since I'm partially colorblind and it's hard for me to tell the difference between green and orange and she followed up with the rudest way of handing me a new ball. Once we finished the mini golf which was alright at best be and my friend decided to hit up the driving range we asked for 2 large buckets and one club since the clubs cost money but we decided to change it mid way through and this girl still had an attitude about it then once me and my friend where discussing something she very rudely said "ok listen up because I need to tell you something" which I thought was really rude especially since I suffer with social anxiety. Then while me and my friend where at the driving range we realized they gave us a pitching wedge instead of a driver which made it very hard to use for a persons first time using a DRIVING range. Anyway we proceeded through and my friends PITCHING WEDGE slipped and went about 50 yards out we told the same girl that the PITCHING WEDGE slipped into the DRIVING range and she went to retrieve it ( with an attitude of course) then as she hands my friend the PITCHING WEDGE at the DRIVING range she rudely says "you guys need to learn how to hold the club" at this point I'm confused not only by her oblivious rudeness but also the fact she gave us a PITCHING WEDGE for a DRIVING range then proceeded to call it a club. How do u expect us to properly hold something if you are not making it clear what I'm holding. Anyway this experience completely killed our mood and we proceeded to go sit in our car and my friend did actually cry because of the way he was treated. Over all fun time just horrible workers.

Justin T.

Yelp
This review is for the mini-golf only. It is hidden all the way in the back of the park. But what a hidden gem. I came on the weekday at night and it was a great activity to do with co-workers. Its 6 dollars for renting a club and a golf ball and a nine putter course. It's not that fancy but it's still fun. You won't see the moving obstacles or running water that you see in other places but fewer chances to lose the ball. You get a scorecard and everything. The course itself takes about many and hour to two hours depending on how many people you have and how bad you are. I am pretty terrible so it took longer than expected. There is a driving range next door so if you want to just drop your kids off to play mini-golf you can just hit balls next door. They take card! My only negative would be the lighting at night isn't as good but it's not like you are playing to be Tiger Woods. The plus is that this place also serves beer. Go for the mango or melon cart for something refreshing and to keep you buzzed.

Anna H.

Yelp
Finally a place to go mini golf in the sgv. For just $6, a round of mini golf certainly takes me back to my childhood days. My mom really enjoyed it too so it's good for all ages. Our group of 5 came on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too crowded so we can take our time. One of the holes were clogged so we had to go to the staff to get another ball. On site parking and restaurant is available. Overall I highly recommend this place for some family fun.

Tiffany A.

Yelp
Love coming here with our students! We usually take a big group and everyone enjoys the minigold! It's a short course, but none of us are pros and just have fun. Great prices, great parking.

John B.

Yelp
Re. the batting cages: they have been removed, despite what the So Pas website says. The pitching machine is no longer there.

John C.

Yelp
I've been playing at arroyo for 50 years, in last year or so it's been taking way to long to play this par 3 it was. It was almost 5 hours to play!! They really really need to watch the tee times. It just seems the city is desperate for money. Just open up the restaurant and you'll guys will be ok.

Dean T.

Yelp
Course is always nicely kept but no one monitors slow play. In addition, the range hours are always changing. It used to be that Thursdays opened late for cleaning but it doesn't show on the website or Yelp. Now the range is closed due to wind damage but there is no Timeline for it's reopening. When you call the starter's office, they act like you are bothering them. It's probably not their fault but whoever owns the facility needs to give the public (and their employees) some information. In addition, the coffee shop needs to reopen because it was such a great place to go. I was told it was a city problem. If so, it would be great to know how we can put pressure on them to get the place reopened.

Bianca L.

Yelp
Pretty cool spot hidden in South Pass. $6/per person for mini golfing. The game took 25-30 minutes for three of us. They have a bar so you can drink and play which is cool. Theres an older crowd and live music on Saturday nights. Anyone is welcome, there was no age requirement. Bathrooms were clean. Parking was a hassle.

Ed P.

Yelp
I believe this is the only true 18 hole par 3 course in LA County. It's a fun course to test your short game. Like any par 3 course, the greens aren't in the greatest shape as most people won't repair their ball marks but that's just golf, I guess. I will say it's a fun course but the bathrooms were disgusting. Not sure who came up with the layout but it's awkward af.

Andreu B.

Yelp
I had a reservation for a group of 4 this Saturday morning. Course was totally empty at the time. We had an additional friend (handicap 3) that came to see us play and give some tips. Our friend had no interest in playing since the course is way below his level. Just after I took the first shot from tee #1, a guy from the staff comes out and informs us that only groups of 4 are accepted. We inform him that the 5th person will not play at all, and he is only watching and giving play tips. The guy says he does not care and that we are not allowed to play. We say OK and we tell him that we will split the group and play in a group of 2 and a group of 3 (the additional friend had no problem in paying the green fee to do some practice shots and watch us). The guy then tells us that he wont let us play at all, even if we separate groups, because he is afraid that we will join the group later on. We proceeded to get a refund and run away from this shit-hole mini-golf that pretends to be a real golf course. I never saw this level of incompetence and ignorance in a golf course. There is many golf courses in LA county. This one is not worth the visit. ...maybe if you like the mini-golf...

E C.

Yelp
PARENTS BEWARE! A few parents took our kids out to play golf. Parents didn't play...just spectators/chaperones for the kids. The course charged the parents FULL PRICE to just spectate. Front desk then used Covid as an excuse to charge full price. Management should be ashamed... Love the course... Hate the SHADY business practice...

Tiffany T.

Yelp
I took my boyfriend (twice now) for a fun date, especially since he had never played mini golf before! The golf course is closer to the back of the park and has a small lot available. Each game is $6 and can take around 30 minutes. This place is a bit rundown but there are no other mini golf places nearby unless you want to drive to Golf n Stuff or Boomers. If you're ever looking for a fun, outdoorsy day, put this on your list and then go grab food at Pasadena!

Chill P.

Yelp
The owners have obviously put minimum maintenance into this place and is running it as long as they can and extracting as many $ as possible. The minigolf course is awful, in shambles and not worth the fee at all. Props are broken and the putting surface is old and decrepit. Golf range balls are years old and customer service isn't friendly at all. The coffee shop is dirty, depressing, and the food and drinks are either stale or tasteless.

Gregory G.

Yelp
This is a fun place. I never knew Arroyo Seco had a mini golf. It's a bit old, but maintained pretty good. It's only 9 holes for $6. Good for kids and a great outdoor activity.
