This museum might be engaging for children under 10, but for others, it’s one of the most boring and disappointing museums I’ve visited in a long time. I entered with high expectations but was let down within seconds of seeing the exhibition. There’s little of interesting things, most of the time, I wasn’t even sure why I was there. The museum consists mainly of a few screens and wall texts, with at least half of the artifacts not functioning. They could easily create a website, copy-paste the texts, and post the few videos there instead. Overall, the museum feels undefined and empty. Here, you’ll only find what feels like random Wikipedia articles.

Amazing, inspiring, huge. It’s hard to describe the diversity and breadth of what you can see at the festival.

Located near the banks of a river with a beautiful view. Have a bus stop right in front of it. If while waiting for the bus for a long time with luggage one wants to visit this, no issue. There is locker facility to hold the luggage with lock and key arrangement. Special price on shows for senior citizens. Displays are not that great and informative. Not muchattractive for visitors. Children have some exclusive area for learning and fun.

Your enjoyment of this museum will likely depend on your interests. This museum goes pretty technical and fairly in-depth about all the available topics so if you aren’t particularly interested in them you might find the museum boring. The first exhibition didn’t suite my interests so I wasn’t interested but the AI part I found very interesting because AI is interesting to me.

Some interesting exhibits especially the quite nerdy section on AI which goes into surprising detail and has some good demos showing how neural nets work. Just beware the 'deep space' show is nothing to do with the universe and more just a kalaidoscope projected onto the floor.

A cool visit for the tech curious. Heavy AI focus which is timely, and contributions from many artists. The risk with tech-oriented museums is the displays getting dated, and this appears to be a living museum to offset that risk.

Absolutely disappointing. There is nothing specific, mostly screens and texts. Better to go to the cinema for the good picture on the screen. I think it was the worst museum I have ever visited. Maybe it is fine for the children though.

The Ars Electronica Center is a captivating fusion of art and technology. With its interactive exhibits and immersive displays, it offers a thrilling exploration of the digital frontier. A visit to this museum is an inspiring journey into the boundless possibilities of the modern age.

Yelp
Great learning experience for all kinds of techno art. Too many pictures and videos to post. Their latest exhibit on AI and music is really interesting. Lots of companies work with this group to build out ideas that we all have seen and loved.

Yelp
The staff here was so friendly, especially Johanas! He took us under his wing and showed us around the building. His English was perfect and he told us the motto of the Ars is (paraphrasing) "Art inspires technology and technology inspires art". Because the main exhibit was under construction he gave us a private showing of The Universe. It was fabulous! I hope he comes to the USA to visit us in Reno NV so we can show him the same excellent hospitality and hopefully introduce him to the Art of Burning Man. The Ars is definitely a must see!

Yelp
There is a TL;DR/Summary at the end Somehow, I was expecting this place to be much shinier from the outside. The day was rather drab when I went, and the building didn't look particularly exciting either. Even as the day cleared up, the building did not become much shinier. It does look rather cool at night though. Went here with a group (guided tour) and was therefore not able to see the whole facility. I was, however, able to see the main exhibit and the deep space theater. --- Deep Space is cool in that they project on the floor and on the wall, and they do so in 8K resolution (with 3D projection onto the wall). However, I was unfortunately not particularity impressed with this "theater". First, since people are sitting on the floor, it seems the whole purpose of floor projection is at least partially defeated. Also, with the screen being flat, you do not get a fully immersive experience. Don't get me wrong, it was still wicked cool, and immersive enough that when I was watching the sports videos they were showing, my body was rocking a bit side to side as if to make adjustments (move my body) in the actual sport. Main exhibit was really cool in that they are demoing, or at least have examples of the lastest and greatest technology. Some of it is just really cool, like the exhibit where ricking your head side to side produces an image of an eye (you will see), some that is revolutionary in entertainment, medicine, IoT, or others. For instance, they had 3D printers, eye tracking, a robotic animal designed to keep people company who are in the hospital (especially those who are suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's). They also had lamps with personality, and virtual reality headsets. Two other exhibits I saw were simply informative. In one they discuss that many ways Facebook uses your information (you will want to delete it afterward), and one where you send a text to a number, it is printed and instantly shredded. However, it makes the comment that still, that text is stored on a node somewhere that it passed through before printing and shredding. I was expecting more interactive exhibits, or, rather more staff staffing the interactive exhibits. ---------- TL;DR/Summary: This is a museum of "technological" art. But, art that is not just for self-expression, but for changing the world!!!!! This place shines most on the inside. You will not find ancient technologies, or paintings, or yesterday's news. You will get to experience the latest and greatest in technology that is changing the world. You will get to interact with robots, see how accessible the world is/will be for those with disabilities, see the early stages of groundbreaking medical devices/achievements. You will see how technology in use right now is shaping your personal world (like Facebook's data usage)

Yelp
If you're a science whizz, have children 5 years old or over or you simply like unusual atrractions, Ars Electronica is ideal. I found the basement the most interesting level. Truely brilliant inventions & gadgets down there. The staff are always around to assist you & everything is explained in both German & English.

Yelp
As an American, this place took me by surprise. It was so crazy cool. Way better than so many of the boring "stare and look" museums back home. This place is a jpmust see if you are in the area. When I was there they had this crazy bioethics exhibition with a half human half pig thing and a bunch of cool new perspectives on biological alterations. This is not just a regurgitation of boring old stuff. And lots of others hands on exhibits all over we're just a cool, and with an English speaking staff I could actually understand what was going on!! Just a great experience.
