Excellent Taste! Awesome experience of Mutton Biryani. Mutton pieces were soft and cooked to perfection. The flavour of Biryani was extremely good and all spices mix was optimum. Ambience of the restaurant was good and all staff are very well behaved. 100 out of 100. Keep up the good job Arsalan.

*ARSALAN RESTAURANT & CATERER.* ARSALAN being incorporated in the year 2002, is serving the food loving people of Kolkata with a variety of Mughlai dishes starting from a range of Tandoor’s, Kabab’s, Biryani’s, Nan’s, etc. To get the real taste of authentic Mughlai cuisine, one need to visit ARSALAN a trusted name in Mughlai dishes at the heart of the City Of Joy. Their mutton biryani and chicken biryani are frequently highlighted as among the best in Kolkata. They also serve a variety of kebabs and tandoori dishes — e.g. the “Arsalan Kebab,” Mutton-Seekh, Chicken Lahori, Mutton Pasinda......etc. ARSALAN also excels in their dessert offerings. The phirni and shahi tukda are divine, providing the perfect sweet end to a sumptuous meal. Service is quick and staff members are courteous, which enhances the overall experience. Prices are on the higher side compared to some other places, but considering the quality and portion sizes, it feels justified. Its better not to visit this restaurant if you are even _PURE VEGETARIAN_ . This place is best suited for _NON VEGETARIAN_ people. No access for wheelchair. For specially able people, its better to order takeaways as the overcrowded space and lack of wheelchair access may overwhelm them while disturbing other guests visiting there. For car parking you have to use the side by road.....which is obviously free of cost. Overall, you’re paying a premium for the ARSALAN name and quality, but if you don’t mind the price, it’s a solid choice for Mughlai food.

Arsalan Biryani has become almost synonymous with Kolkata-style biryani, and for good reason.The Kolkata biryani here is light, flavorful, and perfectly balanced — not overly spicy, yet rich with subtle layers of taste but too much oily. mutton biryani stands out the most — juicy, well-cooked pieces that melt in your mouth.

One of the best in Kolkata and my second favorite after Oudh. The Mutton Biriyani here is tasty and yummy and the chicken tandoori is juicy. Easily accessible by road. Overall a nice experience. They accept card/cash/UPI.

Decent place. Over priced items! We went for Bhaiphota dinner. Well regular Biriyani is priced at 444 for both (chicken and mutton)without egg. Mutton biriyani has a standard 125gms of mutton in it along with 50gms of Alu. Special Biriyani is priced at 761 for both with 2 pieces of chicken/ mutton and one Egg! Chicken Arsalan kebab is priced at 650 with 6 pieces of decent chicken covered with thick layer of cheese. Tangri kebab half of 2 pieces is priced at 320/-. Overall experience : Biriyani was at par. Alu was small and properly cooked however, the mutton was really good. Tender and juicy. I wish they could provide better sized mutton pieces going forward. Phew!! Nevermind!!! Kebab cheese layer was moist, however chicken kebab was hard due to over grilling. Tangri kebab was nothing special. Same age old Tikka Masala coated on chicken drumsticks. We order Masala cold drinks priced at 80 and normal coldrinks served in a glass priced at 60. Kindly note, Staff behaviour of Arsalan has always been in question. I feel they do not belong to gentlemen category! Most of them do not smile and provide angry stares if you call them an extra time for something urgent!

The Chicken Roll is Excellent, but the Mutton Roll Needs Work. I recently visited Arsalan and decided to try both the classic Chicken Roll and the Mutton Roll. The Chicken Roll fully deserves its reputation and the four-star rating. It was genuinely very good—the paratha was soft, flaky, and non-oily, and the chicken pieces were juicy, well-marinated, and packed with flavour. A must-try item that I would happily recommend. However, the Mutton Roll was below average. The mutton was a bit tough and lacked the tenderness I expect, which made the overall experience disappointing. The quality of the meat did not match the quality of the paratha or the chicken filling. Overall Verdict: Come here for the legendary Chicken Roll, but skip the Mutton Roll until the quality improves. Great spot for a quick, delicious bite!

Great place with great ambience. Perfect for celebration, party with friends and family. Welcoming staffs and most importantly marvelous food with good quantity comes with wide range of variety. Totally worth the dining experience.
