Arsela Hotel Pangkalan Bun

Very good value hotel. The room is very comfortable. The location is ok, its a 40min walk to the park, taxi were not really available. There is a cafe on site, but there are many more cheaper options around the hotel. Good Satay options around. 50k for taxi to airport which is 7min away

Really nice staff on reception, and at breakfast. Food was fairly good. Nice area out the front, out the back and a nice restaurant. Main issue was the amount of smoke in the corridor, there was a lot. This was more of an issue for my girlfriend who has breathing difficulties from smoke

The stay was pleasant with a comfortable room. However, there was an issue that I found disappointing compared to my stay here last year. Last year, I got a room with good Wi-Fi coverage, but in 2025, the room I stayed in had very poor Wi-Fi reception. I think it would be necessary for the hotel to provide a Wi-Fi router in each room, especially considering the price, which is not exactly cheap. Why do I say this? Because in my experience staying at other hotels with lower rates compared to Arsela, they already provide a Wi-Fi router in every room. Hopefully, this can be taken into consideration for improvement, especially in today’s time when a stable internet connection is so essential.

It is really nice to have your breakfast at the garden. The staff is very friendly. It is only a 10 minute drive from the airport. A point of improvement is the cold shower. For this price there should be warm showers. Also the wifi is really bad it is not possible to do a online work meeting

Old but gold! don't let the looks fools you. it's a cozy hotel in the middle of pangkalan bun, strategic place and near with airport. big and spacious room, and i love their back garden for breakfast

Nice mid priced option Simple clean room with a good bed. Breakfast OK, but very nice dinner in the restaurant

Beautiful garden. Great breakfast and really good service. Would definitely stay again even though it is about a 20 minute walk to the main area.

Decent hotel with kind staff. Main problem is the wifi did not reach our room and smoking is allowed inside. The stink of smokers permeated the whole building and crept into the rooms. They definitely need better wifi coverage and need to ban smoking indoors and in outside eating areas.
