Food was great but sadly it took quite some time to get served.

Imagine, a ancient water fortress, a unique setting, a top restaurant, impeccable service, art and food in combination top notch?! So come visit the “Arsenaal” Brasserie and Lounge. The Wohle city is worth while a visit rounded off with a lunch at this unique place !!

First and foremost, this is an outstanding restaurant! The brasserie is beautifully decorated, creating a cozy ambiance, and the food is not only diverse but also meticulously prepared and absolutely delicious. However, the highlight is the exceptional service. The host is adept at recommending dishes tailored to each diner and welcomes guests with incredible warmth. It's a delight to encounter such genuine hospitality—we thought it had vanished! We will certainly return! Year later: we've retuned, and everything was as good as it was a year ago!

Amazing place! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and the menu has enough variety. I went here with my family and everyone could find something they liked. The weather did not allow us to dine on the terrace but also inside it is very cozy. We will definitely be back! Thanks again team Arsenaal

Value for money, amazing lunch and best burger for 2023. Quality and standards on point with small but neat and clean open kitchen and fast service.

We had hesitated to come in after a visit of the Naarden-Vesting fortress but were warmly greeted by the team. Definitely recommend this brasserie and do not regret stepping in one bit. Charming location with harmonious pairings for each meal. The team catered to dietary requirements effortlessly while keeping the essence of the dish intact. A real pleasure to eat and spend time there in a lovely setting. The apple crumble was incredible! Very welcoming team in the restaurant and for sure some of the best food I have ever had the pleasure of having in my life.

We stumbled upon this restaurant upon exiting Amsterdam. It was a pleasant surprise. We didn’t have a reservation but were warmly welcomed. The food, wine and service were impeccable. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

It was so quiet when we walked in, I first thought it was empty. There were quiet a few tables taken, but it became clear why everyone was so quiet: fear of the maitree d'h. The man is beyond arrogant. He reprimands me after asking if we wanted an appetizer we were sharing on one plate or2 separate plates. I said one was fine and he proceeded to give me a 10 minute reprimand on how vulgar that is. I ordered Dover sole. It was horrible. I returned it and was offered a new piece. I got the same piece on a different plate. I was asked if I wanted a different entree but at this point the others at my table were finished with their entrees, so I declined and ordered dessert instead. During the (very tasty!) dessert the chef came to talk to me. I was over it by this point and didn't want to ruin more of the dinner talking about bad fish. At first he tells me I was wrong in my assessment of the sole. I describe the fish again and he then explains that what I am describing happens when fish is not as recently dead as it should be when arriving at the restaurant. He tells me there is no way to tell by the way a fish looks, but you can tell with consistency and taste. Ok! Well that's settled then: my fish had been dead too long. Now we know I was right, the fish was not. It still ended up on the bill €35 for fish that the chef said was no good. Never again!!
