Google
I had the chicken Philly it was super delicious everything was cooked to order I also got the lumpia plate they were also very delicious good amount of meat and filling. My only complaint about this place is that there isn't one close to where I live but whenever I'm back in the area this will have to be a must stop

JOnas

Google
Found this place with good reviews so decided to try it. The Lechon, fried pork belly chicharron with a cup of white rice, sweet sauce and slices of cucumbers was ok. For $13 for each plate, I was expecting a lil more, the rice was cold and dried and besides the sweet sauce there was nothing much to eat all the rice with. The teriyaki chicken had more soy sauce than teriyaki sauce. The chicken was also tough, maybe overcooked it was hard. The veggies were good. Maybe will come back to try other plates but will have to see about that.

Google
Locals go nuts over this place, and IMO it was a bit overhyped. I was told to order the Philly Steak with extra cheese, and while it was definitely cheesy, the whole thing just tasted kinda bland. No real extraordinary flavor. I also ordered the Chicken Hawaiian which I thought was also bland. Ordering the large 16” just means two of the regular ones. It’s ~$8-10 for the regular sized sandwiches and 2x the amount for the large. There are lots of items on the menu, but the two I chose were average. The place didn’t decorate too much on the inside, but the soda is easily accessible to accommodate as many refills as you’d like. There are also restrooms for customers which was nice. I probably won’t be returning. That place wasn’t worth the price—the food just simply tasted bland but filling.

Google
Found this place on yelp. Absolutely delicious if you’re craving a great Philly, cheesesteak, fresh and delightful. They have lots of great things on the menu. The french fries were fresh and delicious. I highly recommend go give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Google
For the price that you can't beat anywhere else the portion is perfect and and very filling the Condiments they add is so good the mustard and cheese just go very well together I like veggies on mine so my rating is genuine! Definitely coming back!

Google
We tried the Basilog. It was great but nothing special. The cheese steak was as good as advertised. Highly recommend it. This joint have great comfort foods that are inexpensive. Will definitely come back.

Google
Amazing Fil Am food! Best I’ve had in a while. The staff is really nice. The place looked pretty clean. The prices seemed fair for the portion size. No complaints.

Google
This place is great, you come in, they grill you up a cheese steak and it's great. You even get to see em grilling it up. It's like you're at a fancy Benny Hana.

Yelp
My boss wanted to take a colleague and I out for lunch, as a thank you for our hard work. He had mentioned this place and I hadn't been before, so I was excited. We didn't end up getting cheesesteaks, which he said were excellent. Instead the three of us ended up getting different Asian/filipino dishes. My boss got a lumpia plate. My colleague got teriyaki beef. I opted for the lechon. Each plate had rice and some tomato and cucumber slices. My lechon was crispy almost to the point of being dried out, but still flavorful. I did use a little bit of hot sauce to cut the fattiness (vinegar in the sauce.) My colleagues ate up their plates, with no complaints. I didn't realize it was more of a takeout place. We got a table, near the back door, next to a freezer. Had I known, I might have suggested just doing take out. Now, I want to go back and try the cheesesteak sandwich.

Yelp
Service was good. They were kind and polite. We ordered to go but ate some there to try it fresh. I ordered fish and chips and my uncle ordered the Korean bbq plate. Both were very delicious. The fish and chips were crispy on the outside with the flakiness and tenderness inside. The tar tar sauce was very delicious. Not overpowering just right with flavor. The Korean bbq was very tasty. I love the sauce paired with the fluffy white rice. It was exceptional.

Yelp
So far so good:) food is amazeballs, service is on it, and view is great:) super love the delicious Filipino food(:

Marisol F.

Yelp
To begin with the lady at the front counter was extremely disrespectful and belittling us for asking if they had an item on the menu, she gave attitude the whole time no wonder place is dead I ended up voiding the order because I was so upset the way I was talked to. Don't waste your time here go to the PD location they are way more welcoming and the customer service is better I think they also have more menu items because I asked for something that is at the pd location and they apparently don't have it here, oh and also if I ask for a order of fries don't ask me if I want regular fries because my bf asked do you have seasoned fried and in the rudest way possible she answered that's all we have no wonder place was dead don't waste your time here.

Yelp
This place was not clean and their food handling skills are less than questionable. Smelled good but not interested, thanks.
google avatar

Andy T.

Yelp
The bacon cheesesteak is my favorite. Always consistent. Fries are well seasoned. Staff are always friendly and patient when I go with a large group during lunch. Plenty of parking. Huge menu including traditional Filipino options that I plan to try in the future.

Yelp
Food was tasty! Speedy service. The atmosphere was okay. May a little remodel. But I would recommend.
google avatar

Morgan B.

Yelp
Great sandwiches and rice dishes. Random stop off the 10 on a road trip. Cute little spot that's obviously been here a long time. Great service. Staff is so nice! Definitely coming back next time we pass by
google avatar

Yelp
The restaurant was in an unassuming strip mall across from the Riverside County Fair grounds. The service was great and friendly. The food was really good, especially the milk fish, long silog, and unexpectedly the fries. It is great to find and support a Pinoy run place in the Coachella Valley.

Robert W.

Yelp
Wow, everything here was tasty. I got the cheese steak, one of us got the teriyaki, another the pepper steak, everything, not kidding, ooh, and they have my favorite fries--the shoestring kind. Not too expensive (we were at the date Festival, this was way cheaper. Anyway, I recommend
google avatar

Vany S.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place for years. The food quality has always been consistent. My favorite dish is the chicken teriyaki. Generous portion of chicken and grilled veggies. They have variety of menus and Filipino dishes as well.
google avatar

Teresa V.

Yelp
It doesn't seem much when you walk by. Seems like a small mom and pop shop. But the food is a fusion of American, Mexican and Filipino rolled into one. I had the tapsilog (chopped flap steak with eggs over garlic fried rice). It was great. Only thing missing is the usual Filipino dipping sauce for the steak. Husband had the Philly cheesesteak, which was also amazing. It gets pretty crowded during lunch and there are not a lot of tables. The owner and staff are very friendly.

Luna P.

Yelp
I got one of the rice bowl things and it was okay: the rice was a great texture but the egg was overcooked and the fish tasted a little like tap water? Some of my family got the cheesesteaks and they said that was pretty good.
google avatar

Jovanna N.

Yelp
The food is 10/10 best Philly cheesesteak everrrrr!! The service is great, nice people, very chill vibes. You won't regret it honestly, this is one of my favorite places to eat :)
google avatar

Amy T.

Yelp
Closest asian/filipino food you will get in the Indio area! Whenever my family and I are in the area we always like to come to this place for their filipino food. They have Tapsilog (marinated beef, rice, and eggs), Longsilog (sweet pork sausage, rice, and eggs), Pork Sisig (pig snout, ear, and liver, rice, and eggs), Lechon Kawali (deep fried pork belly), Bangsilog (fried milkfish, rice, and eggs), and even Halo Halo (ice cream dessert). This place amazes me because they even have Philly Cheesesteaks & other sandwiches, salads and even some Mexican dishes. Pretty good filipino food and my fiance and his family seemed to enjoy it as well :P Maybe we will try something else on their menu!
google avatar

Alex H.

Yelp
If you're ever gonna trust a strangers tastebuds trust mine! Get the bacon cheese steak sandwich combo is a must! Add over easy Egg and avocado‼ holy grail did this sandwich smackkkkk

Lyk A.

Yelp
Best lechon kawali and longanisa in the desert! Excellent customer service! Worth driving out to Indio for!
google avatar

Edwin P.

Yelp
We were on the trip to the desert and I had a craving for Filipino food. When we found the restaurant, I was not sure what to expect. They have a large variety of sandwiches and cheesesteaks. However, there is a nice section of Filipino things that most Pinoy will recognize. Pros: - super fast - friendly service - Filipino food is surprisingly good. Looks unassuming but the taste is definitely there Cons/pointers- - The entrance faced away from the streetsso I did not see it when we turned into the parking lot - nothing really bad to say - it's not fancy, but it is spot on Tips: - I had lechon kawali. It was crisp and tasty - my wife had Korean bbq. It's bistek (if you know Filipino food)
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
10/10 recommend fresh and fast food, service is great! It's kind of small little spot but definitely a cool one to grab a good bite!
google avatar

Amy N.

Yelp
This was a random find on a Sunday afternoon as a pit stop on a road trip. They had a good mix of American and Filipino fusion. The pan fried longanisa is sweet but not too sweet and went great with the rice. My sister got the sisig and it was good, just missing some hot sauce/vinegar. The fried eggs were great with the yolk still runny. They were quick to make the food, even with the orders being called in. Also, the Lakers game was being shown so good entertainment!
google avatar

Marisa T.

Yelp
Never tried the Filipino food here but you can get a decent sandwich here. I don't eat beef but my husband likes the Philly cheesesteak sandwich which is $8.79 for a small. I get the chicken Philly which is $8.49 for a small. The chicken Philly at Denny's is honestly better though. I don't eat here frequently but if you're nearby, it's worth it to stop by.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
My go to food spot when I go to coachella - large portions, mom n pop shop and great food
google avatar

Joseph Anthony S.

Yelp
If you make your way through the selection of burgers Philly cheese steaks you'll find some of THE BEST beef tapa you can anywhere, let alone in Coachella valley. Never over cooked. Flavor is great. It's our Filipino bulgogi lol. Love that we get 2 eggs on our rice. And that they make their vinegar with the spices. And that they're a hidden gem/go to when I need comfort food in the area. Btw - their sisig (on the drinks section of the menu) is pretty good too. They put Philly style onions and Bell peppers in it Caution - you'll need a fat nap afterward.
google avatar

Jerri S.

Yelp
I was craving some Filipino food and this place is a local favorite. Known for its Lumpia and Philly Cheesesteaks I had to try it out. I had an order of Lumpia to go and I was not disappointed! Orders come in 8 pieces with tangy sweet & sour sauce. They were tasty and filling definitely satisfied the craving. Everyone was friendly and service was fast. The place is an Asian American comfort food stop they have a little of everything. It's a bit divey but let's face it you're not coming here for the ambiance. I'm coming back for those cheesesteaks because they looked and smelled great.

David H.

Yelp
Some OG Filipino Uncles slinging the best cheesesteaks you will find in the valley. Everything from the cheesesteaks to the burgers are made fresh to order and cooked just right . Quick service and good size portions . They also have some Mexican items as well as some filipino dishes but I always stay with the Sandwiches. This time had chicken cordon bleu ...Recommend!
google avatar

P V.

Yelp
We always get the chicken teriyaki with veggies great healthy meal. I believe they're famous for their Philly subs as well.
google avatar

Marco V.

Yelp
Good Filipino food. Don't let the name discourage you from eating here. Visiting from SOCAL. Coming back for Philly cheesesteak tomorrow.
google avatar

Justin T.

Yelp
Great value for your money. We tried a philly cheese steak & the Korean plate. We thought everything was pretty good, a little greasy but we liked it. It's al little place located in a strip mall. The place is small & the service was fast. We really liked the sweet potato fries, they're great! The other dishes I thought were just ok, I'd try something different if I were to ever come back. All in all I would rate this about 3.5 star. Not necessarily my favorite but they do have many other things to try. To me this place is kin to just eating fast food. Try it out if you're looking for something different from a fast food perspective. Happy eating

Yelp
Lemme just start with one word. YUM!!!! We were in town for the night and their good reviews drew me to here. I love me a good chicken philly!!! And let's just say the reviews don't lie.. I got the Hawaiian chicken philly , I LOVE pineapple in savory and it was PERFECT.. if you've never tried it in a chicken philly go for it, you won't be disappointed. My bf got the chicken teriyaki plate and we shared their fries and onion rings. We finished everything and I forgot to take a photo because we dove in so quickly. Not to mention the staff was friendly and quick and so sweet:)

Gabriel D.

Yelp
Really only get the Philly cheese steak myself and I love it every time, I've tasted other stuff it's pretty good too. Very clean simple environment. Service is decent, worth it!
google avatar

David H.

Yelp
Delicious and fresh Philly cheesesteak. The roll was perfectly toasted with a nice crunch. If your visiting Indio and craving great food, make sure you make over to Alkobar Grill.
google avatar

Sheryl C.

Yelp
My youngest daughter and I have been going for years..we always get the Lechon Kawali (pork belly). We've tried other items on the menu it's all Yum-O. But the pork belly is our favorite!
google avatar

Jennifer F.

Yelp
Friendly service, yummy food. They have a variety of options to choose from. Here's the updated menu with inflation.
google avatar

Amy G.

Yelp
A little hole in the wall that serves up delicious meals. They have a window where you can order and watch your food get made. The dishes are all made to order not where they have it made already and serve it to you which is awesome. Their chicken teriyaki was soft and juicy, needed a little more teriyaki flavoring though but that didn't stop me from finishing my whole plate. The bf had the veggie deluxe sandwich and he really enjoyed it. It was kind of greasy and messy to eat but nonetheless it made an appetizing meal for him. We got the combo for it and the fries were nice and crispy. Don't really expect service, it's literally order and go or sit and eat which is super convenient. Will definitely be back and order more. It looks like maybe their takeout orders have more food than dine in orders but we shall see about that. Can't wait to try other dishes from here as well as the Philly cheesesteak everyones raving about.

alejandra h.

Yelp
Food and service are always outstanding! Even my kids love it here! They request it at least once a week! My favorite is the chicken garden salad, and their Phyllis's are amazing! Such a family friendly place and the people are so welcoming.
google avatar

Lux P.

Yelp
Got the chicken philly and added lettuce and tomato. Lots of nice chunks of chicken and plenty of melty cheese. It was a satisfying sandwich, and the service was fast and friendly. My only complaint is the lack of pickled sweet and hot peppers on it. Other than that, a solid choice.
google avatar

Brigitte C.

Yelp
Delicious! I recommend the Mexican Philly cheesesteak very generous portion. The place looked very clean, and the gentlemen that assisted me were very kind and the service was fast but it seemed to be made to order nonetheless.
google avatar

Ria V.

Yelp
Great tasting food, good service, friendly staff. Love their bangsilog and fish and chips. I'll cone back again to try their famous phyli cheesesteak sandwich and their tapsilog. Higly recommended.
google avatar

Miriam N.

Yelp
Found this restaurant last minute. Their slogan is "best Philly cheesesteak in Palm Springs", but we noticed that they also offered Filipino food! I assumed the restaurant was probably owned by Filipinos... and I was right! We didn't get to try their vast selection of Philly Sammie's, but we did try their rice dishes! The best tasting was the lechon kawali! Yumm can't go wrong with crunchy fried pork. They also have silogs and sisig. The only thing about it was that it could use some updating inside. Besides that, great spot to satisfy your Filipino food cravings in the area!
google avatar

Tracee B.

Yelp
This place has been a family favorite for years!! I usually stick with what I like so I always get their teriyaki chicken with a side of fries. It's one of my favorite things ever and the portion size is HUGE. I get two meals out of it. I've never had their cheesesteaks before but all of them look delicious!! Those are usually my family's go-to and they're never disappointed. I might have to give one a try someday. Come out and support Alkobar!
google avatar

Harouk M.

Yelp
Went on a Wednesday night. Place had one group of customers. Took 12 minutes for my food to be ready. Place is very small (super narrow); looks like they tried placing as many tables in such a narrow hallway (5 tables). Environment looks like a 40-year old restaurant; 'dirty' always comes to my mind. In terms of the food, I ordered the Three Cheese Philly Cheesesteak; it comes with their special sauce, which tasted like mayo to me, which I hate. I wish the bread was grilled more. Steak tasted eh. I would not buy the Cheesesteak again, especially for the price ($17 for combo that comes with fries and drink). However, I still would like to come back here again.
google avatar

Salvador R.

Yelp
Alkobar always hits the spot. If you haven't ate here you're missing out. If you do eat here you have to try the three cheese bacon steak sandwich. It's delicious especially with the hot sauce. Check them out

Pete K.

Yelp
Possibly the worst food over ever been served. Surly cashier. Inflated prices. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. They prey on the high school students.
google avatar

Kyle P.

Yelp
Best philly cheese steak this desert has ever experienced!!! Add some jalapeños for a little extra kick! By far my favorite philly ive ever had. Super nice people working here too!

Will N.

Yelp
This place is GAS! They serve you quick and give you massive portions. It's a must visit and the place is nice inside
google avatar

Joe O.

Yelp
Chicken teriyaki plate: taste is OK, but good portion of veggies, rice, and chicken. It was missing that Japanese bbq sauce flavor... charred, sweet, savory.... I tasted sweetened soy sauce marinade. Korean bbq plate: rice/thin slices of cucumber and tomatoes... again, good portion of rice and beef. Would have been nice if the slices of cucus and tommies were thicker. Good compliment to the "Korean bbq." The beef was tender, however the taste kinda reminded me of " beef tapa." If fried egg was added, it would have been an amazing Filipino breakfast! I like the place cause it's fast and you can watch the cook grill your order. Next, imma try the cheese steak sandwiches. They look yummazing!
google avatar

Nan L.

Yelp
we only tried the filipino food but it was real solid. everybody seems to really like their philly cheesesteaks and i don't doubt that they're good, but longsilog is super great and high quality -- you just don't get very much of it for how much you spend the tapsilog was also good, if not a little salty and not as high quality as the longanisa -- however my wife (who is filipino) says people don't usually use the highest quality beef for that dish anyway, so who am i to say otherwise rice, meat, egg = wonderful if you got a little more longanisa for the price, and i lived here, i would probably eat this stuff every single day thank you for the great meal! i'm sure we'll be back soon
google avatar

Jenny C.

Yelp
Oh man.... talk about a hole in the wall and hidden gem! It is in a pretty run down building with carving all over bathroom mirrors, tagging, etc. but don't let this detour you! It truly is the best Philly cheesesteak I've ever had. They perfect it with the ideal philly bread, meat cooked to perfection, super delicious sauce, and some fresh condiments. If it wasn't so bad for you, I'd eat it every day lol.
google avatar

May A.

Yelp
Food is pretty good...not salty and it was tasty. Ordered a couple filipino breakfast combos - Tapsilog (marinated beef, rice and eggs) and Bangsilog (fried milkfish, rice and eggs) and the Philly cheesesteak. prices are very reasonable. I appreciated the helpfulness of the cashier when he shared that the large order of the philly was actually 2 sandwiches and a small was 1 sandwich. Not very many restaurants are honest like that and don't care about their customers. For that, I'm giving them 5 stars for the food and customer experience. Thanks to the team for all you do! Can't be easy working on a holiday. We appreciate you!
