Art Center "Pushkinskaya-10"

I am a native of Saint Petersburg, and this is the most interesting art space I can recommend in the city. Here you can not only see art, you can also meet the artists and see them work in their studios. It is an amazing opportunity to learn and immerse into the atmosphere of the real modern Russian non-comformist art. Also it has a very nice creative atmosphere, for example you can go play music in the Gallery of Experimental Sound. This kind of stuff. It's worth a visit!

This place is all about Piter spirit. It is truly amazing. You dont only look at exhibits, you can also have some great conversations with artists and get an idea about Piter's sub culture.

If you consider that Russia is the desert with a lot of oasises in, this is one of them. Artistic spirit with glorious background of resist to rising neocapitalism of Nineties. Local underground stars and even entire Museum of Non-conformism. Long live Pushkinskaya 10!

Very interesting underground bar, museum and its exhibitions

It did come highly recommended from locals, and though I'm one for dive bars, at first the vibe was a tad strange, and at second the food wasn't... well I wouldn't necessarily go there to eat based on what we had. Sure it's got a very loyal and fun audience though.

A former residential building transformed into an art space with several small galleries and artist studios. It's not terribly clear where you can or cannot go, so expect to wander up and down flights of stairs and try a lot of door handles. The exhibits are pretty avantgarde, if you like that sort of thing. Worth a visit if you're a local. If you're just visiting and wanted to see some local art, there are better options.

Good art location with different galleries distributed throughout three buildings plus an area dedicated to the Beatles. The most prominent room is the Russian rock museum where a cool dude plays the guitar and doesn’t mind if the visitors do too. Some places offer merch for sale. Not-so-expensive tickets should add up to a positive decision to come and see it by yourself.

It's not everyday you get to meet artists at their studio and see their work. Lovely artsy venue filled with great pieces and atmosphere. Definitely will go back next time I'm in St-Petersburg!
