Service and Facilities
Unfortunately, our stay did not meet the expectations for a hotel of this category (4 stars) and was overshadowed by several shortcomings.
Reception and Service (Lack of Availability and Unfriendliness)
The reception was not staffed continuously, which is problematic for a hotel of this class. Even more concerning was our experience regarding noise: at 12:30 AM, we received a call from reception asking us to be quieter. Considering the supposed soundproofing of a "Premium Suite," we found this both incomprehensible and inappropriate—especially since, with proper insulation, noise from the neighboring room should hardly be audible.
Location and Room Quietness
Given the hotel's remote location, it is particularly irritating that guests in a "Premium Suite" are asked to keep quiet. This raises questions about the actual level of soundproofing and whether the suites are truly suitable for guests seeking peace and quiet.
Wellness Area (Design and Staff)
Unfortunately, the wellness area did not offer any relaxation:
• The extremely bright, color-changing LED lighting was so intense that it was perceived as disturbing and counterproductive to a relaxing atmosphere.
• The staff in this area behaved rudely and unprofessionally. For instance, at 9:15 PM—despite the spa being advertised as open until 9:30 PM—I was rudely told by a staff member that I had to leave the area.
Overall Impression and Staff
Overall, guest treatment seemed very selective. It gave the impression that one is only truly welcome if perceived as "wealthy." A friendly smile and basic courtesy should be a given in a 4-star hotel and not dependent on the guest’s perceived status.
Conclusion:
The discrepancy between the hotel’s official category and the actual service, as well as the shortcomings in the wellness area, is striking. I would describe the hotel’s approach to service as highly idiosyncratic.
