If you love Art Deco you will love this hotel. Very stylish lovely rooms. Right down on the waterfront. Found some markets in the morning the did a bicycle tour of the wineries. Restaurant in the building was very nice, good NZ beers on tap and tasty share platter. We then went on to find a cocktail bar down an alley and Vincies pizza by the slice best pizza ever. Really enjoyed our stay.

This is a lovely hotel. Rooms are clean, if a little on the small side. The bathroom of our room had a shower over the bath which isn’t always practical for older couples. The bed was super comfy and the staff were very courteous and pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.

Needed to stay the night. Wanted more than just a motel. This place is special. Rebuilt after the earthquake with all the art deco character and charm. In really top condition. Nothing looks tired. Lovely access to sunny roof top with lots of seating and shade if needed and a great view to the beach. Had a really nice meal with top service, in the restaurant

Great location and a beautiful, old-style Art Deco hotel. The room was small but had everything we needed. However, the cleaning service was only done once during our three-night stay, and not all amenities were replenished. Still, it's a good hotel and a nice place to stay in Napier!

My friends and I had the pleasure of staying at Art Deco Masonic over the weekend and had a wonderful experience. Victor greeted us upon arrival and looked after us over the next 48 hours. He was attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Our two bedroom apartment was stunning and had everything we needed for 5 people. The hotel is rich in history, and you feel like you've stepped back in time while still enjoying modern facilities that you'd expect from a hotel of this calibre. I highly recommend you stay here - there's something special about this property and the staff who work there.

We had a brilliant stay, beautiful clean rooms, a bath and patience from all the staff - as we have a 19 month old son. I highly recommend for a weekend away. Possibly not with a small person but we adapted and felt very pleased 😀

Fabulous hotel, gorgeous suite, beautiful view, and ideal location. The staff were very welcoming and our room was ready right away. We initially parked in a paid parking area near the hotels restaurant to unpack our things (only $4 for 2hrs) then moved the car to the hotel’s leased parking area only a 2 min walk away ($20 from check-in to about 2pm the following day which is charged to the hotel room). The room was pristine, relaxing, and comfortable. It was lovely being able to sit on the rooftop and watch the sunrise. Plenty of eateries and shops within a couple minutes of the hotel. The Everest was fantastic if you would be interested in having Nepalese food! Highly recommend this hotel, I wish we could’ve stayed longer!!

Yelp
Cute Art Deco hotel across from the Napier Library and Art Museum. Walk across the street to enjoy the beach. Napier is filled with so many historic Art Deco gems. After the earthquake of 1931 that destroyed downtown Napier. The city was rebuilt in the style that was fashionable at the time, Art Deco. Today, these buildings are preserved leading to a large collection of beautiful buildings in a relatively compact area.

Yelp
The room was comfortable. It cost $269 to stay here, which is reasonable. The customer service was impressive. Parking is free after 5 p.m. which is great! Very close to the beach, which is lovely. Stores close at 5 p.m., which was unexpected - so if you want to explore the shops, you'll need to do that early. Would recommend staying here!

Yelp
This hotel is fabulous. Bryan, the representative who checked us in was extremely helpful. He added so much to our stay through his suggestions for what to do and making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The historic hotel is extremely comfortable and located perfectly in the city. We also enjoyed a fabulous dinner in the restaurant. If they have availability, stay here! You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
A beautiful hotel and had a wonderful experience. It was a shame we could only stay one night! My husband and I were there while we were on our honeymoon, and they upgraded our room to a suite! The staff was so lovely, and even left us a bottle of wine to celebrate. The hotel is right across the street from a beach, and was absolutely gorgeous and pristine inside. I'd also recommend the Emporium (the attached restaurant). While it was a little expensive, my husband and I agree it was the best meal we had our whole trip in New Zealand! Thank you for magnificent night!

Yelp
The decor and detailing is seriously on point - out of the ordinary, carefully considered. They manage to integrate striking patterns, different textures and eclectic furnishings while avoiding straying into tacky or cliche looks. It's also got all you want in terms of comfort. Would definitely return! Stayed with my family, we took 3 rooms. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful.

Yelp
Love this hotel. Lovely experience. Wonderful staff, beautiful property, lovingly cared for and kept city. Napier is a gem of history and the Masonic is the most wonderful place to stay while visiting.
