Stayed here with a group of 10 people. Jirka was very kind and helpful. The rooms were clean, so were the bathrooms. The kitchen is very well equipped, and they even have a massage chair, perfect after a long drive. Very nice experience, I recommend it. Really cheap, and it's a perfect first stop on your road trip, after doing the golden circle. They have a pool table, darts, ping pong, a piano, etc... The ocean is very cool next to it. I could stay here for days.

Lovely hostel which was probably an office in the past. We were given the apartment on the top floor which was great and spacious with our own kitchen and bathroom. The beds were spacious and comfortable, the appliances worked fine and utensils were great. Apart from the apartment, the hostel has communal toilets on ground floor which look a bit sketchy but work just fine. There is also a lift and a communal area with another kitchen and a conference room

On arrival it was a bit... Basically the outside looks like a place from "Saw" movies. But then, the rooms were quite nice. Three bed room, Studio, more like. Very clean, and had everything you need. Staff super friendly and attentive. Problem was, wi-fi was not working in our floor. But the guy did try to fix it. Oh well... It had large dinning area upstairs and Games room, to use if you liked. Washing and dryer machines. Outside showers too. That part needs to be a little bit more welcoming and re-done nicely but, the important was the rooms/studios. Overall, happy.

Wow! As well as its warehouse chic and a really cool vibe this places oozes with character. If the town took a hit when the fish factory closed, then this could be their key to renewal — a cultural and accommodation hub. It has quality art paintings everywhere you look; the rooms face north towards the icecaps and auroræ; on the other side is the waterfront. Cultural events some nights (amazing bar and terrace area, though nothing going on when I was there). Little supermarket across the road and a good restaurant in the town. Good beds and self-catering facilities, all very clean. Sad that I only found this on my last night in Iceland! Strongly suggest booking directly via their website to undercut the bookingdotcom monopoly that makes accommodation so expensive in Iceland.

We stayed here as a family of four adults and a kid. They were very kind to upgrade us to a larger room that was available on our dates! The room was really spacious and had a kitchenette. Do note that the toilets and bathrooms are shared. But this wasn't a big problem and also they are kept clean. I would recommend this to all budget travelers. It is 15 minutes away from Selfoss where you can find all the popular shops.

I recently stayed at this hostel which was a really good experience. The room, kitchen and bathrooms were very clean and tidy. I stayed in the dorm room which had 14 beds, but most of the time I was the only person in it.||The village itself is nice and quiet, with Selfoss not far away. There is a bus service too, although understandably it isn't hugely frequent (or at all on Sundays). ||This is a good hostel for the price, it could perhaps be improved by adding hooks (for towels etc) and some locker facilities. Overall a good stay and would recommend.

The place itself its fine, rooms are small but clean, fully equiped kitchen, friendly hosts, BUT the only showers are downstairs next to the entrance, where all the cold wind enters. This may not be a problem if you are visiting on the summer, but I stayed on December and the weather was -10° celsius, the shower also gets flooded, and its really hard to get dress without getting all your clothes wet.

This was a nice place to stay for a hostel. We had our own room but shared a bathroom/shower/kitchen. The kitchen had an oven, microwave, hot plate, fridge, and pots, pans, silverware, and dishes. There is a beautiful view of the ocean from the deck. See my photo. We ate dinner out there while watching the sunset. If you stay here you also can visit the ghost museum. The rooms were small but clean. We enjoyed our stay.
