Art Hotel Aos Sinos Dos Anjos

I loved the place. The owner (Luzia) and the employees are very pleasant in the way they handle the guest, very attentive. We are given all tips about the places. The breakfast is delightful, Luzia cooks some breads and cakes. The bed wear and towels are so clean and scented. Air-conditioned rooms and good shower. The hotel is located near to Mucuge beach, restaurants, bars and stores. A very pleasant stay and I will definitely come back and stay in Art Hotel.

I stayed there with my 5 people family in January 2015. It's an incredibly well decorated art hotel, super cozy and chic at the same time. The location is excellent, only 2 blocks away from the main street of Arraial D'Ajuda, where there are many restaurants. It's also close to some really cool beaches, as well as Trancoso (a near trendy city with paradise-like beaches - it's like 1h30 by car). It's a very quiet and safe place, and the hotel has a 24h security guard at the front door. We arrived sometimes as late as 3am and he was there prompt to open the gate.||||The pool is always clean and beautiful. The breakfast is the highlight. My family eats a lot, so it was kind of a big deal to us. It's fresh everyday with breads the owner makes herself, daily. It had crepes one day and it was wonderful. There is always a great variety of fresh fruits and juices, a different one everyday.||||The bedroom was nice and cleaned everyday, with new fresh towels and clean sheets. The room was spacious ever for 5 people, since it had a kind of second floor. The water was always hot and with good pressure, but the drain didn't have a good output, so by the time we finished our showers there were water dripping to the living room. The room had a good a/c. It wasn't the quietest but it didn't disrupted any of out nights.||||The owners were so very kind and helpful. They always wanted do chit chat and always had tips of where to go, nice places to eat, quieter beaches etc.||||I would 100% recommend this hotel and can't wait to go back there, this time with my boyfriend, since it's also a romantic place.

Just one word to describe this little gem...amazing! We stayed there in July to escape from the grey London weather and we had an unforgettable time. After having been in Itacare', Rio and Olinda we decided to visit Araial d'Ajuda and havent been disappointed by our choice. The hotel is cozy, clean, quiet and colorful. Breakfast was just delicious and the staff very helpful and always available to recommend places and restaurants in town. The rooms are unique and were cleaned every day. The pool wasn't very big but never crowded...we stayed there for a few hours a day, reading a book or just chilling. All the amenities were located within walking distance and so was the sea. Overall, I truly recommend this place if you want to have a relaxing time feeling like at home. ||||C

The staff was sooooo welcoming and attentive. The Hotel was well maintained and we saw them working on the nicest details of the art installations the whole time of our stay. It is located just 2mins walk from the main street, mucuge, and it's far enough not to hear too much of the festas during the nights. What a perfect place to visit

First of all let me say that this place should not be classified as a Hotel, but more like a Bed and Breakfast. The location of the property is good, near the centre of Arraial D'ajuda, and a 20 minute walk to the beach down a steepish road. The room i had has included a double bed, private shower and toilet, small refrigerator, ceiling fan, air conditioner and safe. The room also had many issues with bugs including many mosquitos, ants, spiders (non venomous ones) and also a lizard which would run around the room at will. I dont usually mind insects except mosquitos which i chased around the room on occasion and also was bitten many times. I hope i dont get Zika... The reason for the many bugs were two. One, the cleaners are not thorough at cleaning the room and only do a quick once over. The owners a mother and son team, who are nice, live on the compound, unfortunately they do not check the quality of the rooms including the cleanliness. Also two light globes were not working in the room, goes to show a general lack of attention to detail overall. The second reason for the insects, is that the room does not have glass pane windows, and has many gaps and entry points for insects to enter the room, including a big gap under the door, big ventilation gap in the bathroom and the lack of sealable windows. Apart from that, the wifi does not work in the room and is only available in the lobby area and sometimes works at a slow rate and sometimes doesn't work at all. Breakfast was very basic and included in the price. Also the staff did not change the towels often and the only toiletries they had was one bar of soap which they did not replace once used up. They did luckily replace the toilet paper. Hence, why i dont think this place should be classified as a hotel. Also on occasion once the staff would clean the room, they would leave the key on the door. Not that anything got stolen, but i think it leaves the door open for this to happen. On another note, to get to Arraial D'ajuda, you can take a taxi to the ferry "Balsa", taxi costs around 30-40 reais, take the ferry across, costs under 5 reais, and then take the local bus, costs under 5reais or a taxi, around 40reais to the centre of Arraial D'ajuda. If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay, i would look at other places or alternative accommodation. There are Pousadas, literally everywhere you look in Arraial D'ajuda, possibly some nice hotels too. ||I hope this review is helpful :)

Perfect place to stay on your visit to Arraial D'Ajuda. |Every spot in the hotel is clean. The staff and the owner of the place are very kind and willing to help in every problem you have. The owner is an artist that decorated the place in a very unique and beautiful way. She speaks English, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese. |I had great time here. It felt like home away from home.

Very nice Art Hotel in Arraial d’Ajuda , little touristic town near Porto Seguro Bahia.|| Created by Lorenza, the italo -french owner.... Who speaks english ,spanish and portugueese as well. All comforts, internet wireless,smart, original and coloured decoration gives to this place a very special atmospheere....who makes you feel well and at home.||You can choose your accomodation between 14 suites all very different. ||Many paintings and sculptures from international and brasilian Artists,and also a lot of interesting works that Lorenza invented expressely for the Hotel.||If you like one...check... some of them are in sale for reasonable prices...||I bought a very coloured piece that makes me feel warmer in winter. ||I also enjoyed the gorgeous breakfast with a great choice of home made jams,juices , cakes and breads,ideal to start your day.||Great and easy service... for wishes and problems Just ask Luzia the brasilian director and Lorenza...they usually have rapid solutions...||Don't forget to taste the wonderfull thin and crunchy Pizzas in the pizzeria recently opened by Lorenza ...near by ..that you may also order to eat in the Hotel.....||Hi girls ! Would like to come back one day!

Art Hotel or "Sinos dos Anjos" as its known around town, is a beautiful, clean and affordable place to stay in Arraial d' Ajuda. Lovely courtyard with small pool, clean rooms with comfortable bedrooms and luxurious bathrooms, and a delicious breakfast included every morning. Highly recommend.
