Cannot fault our experience. From start to finish our stay was relaxing and stress free. The room was clean, spacious and sylish. Excellent bed, walk in shower and extras like robes etc. The location is perfect to explore all sights and right in the heart of the old town. Breakfast is served to you which is a nice change from self service. Would highly recommend the hotel and it deserves its no 1 rating.

Great little boutique hotel in the heart of old Zadar! Room was surprisingly spacious for the hotel being in such an old building. Everything is nicely renovated and the shower is very roomy. Comfortable pillows! My only recommendation is better lighting in both the sleeping areas and bathroom - it’s a bit dim and gloomy on an overcast day!

Room: We were welcomed by a used band-aid in the bathroom, with one toiletry bottle was so sticky on the outside I had to wash my hands after grabbing it. The room's TV is the size of a computer monitor from the 90's for those that care about these things. The air conditioning panel buttons are so worn out, or missing entirely, it is impossible to use - this should have been fixed ages ago. Footsteps and general noise were unusually loud. The hotel thought it appropriate to do repairs to the air conditioning in the hallway outside the room while we were sleeping, banging away like it's surely not a hotel at all. Breakfast: We were served a sliced baguette that was so obviously from the day before (week before?) as the pieces could have been used as pucks in an ice hockey game. The waiter then thought it was appropriate to scold me on using my "main plate" for my croissant which was just weird. The breakfast is just an uncomfortable experience. Service: The stay at the Art Hotel was one where it's just so painfully obvious the staff don't care one bit about service and simply go through the process of "dealing with the tourists". They are likely quite full in the busy season because of their location, and simply don't excel in any way. The service was just simply rude.

We came in late and they welcomed us with literally open arms. The check in was quick and it had an elevator to go to our floor. The rooms were clean great ac and the bed was very comfortable. We left early and they made us 3 to go breakfast’s. Which was very helpful with our travels

One of the highlights of visiting Zadar was staying atthe Art Kalelarga. We loved this hotel. The entrance is in a quiet alley, and although the hotel is very close to the main square, it is quiet and noise-free. The staff were all excleent and eager to please. The rooms are modern, well decked out, new and clean. The breakfast was abundant, creative and tasty. We met one of the owners, who was very pleasant and friendly. I highly recommend staying here

Quaint and cozy refuge in the center of Old Town. Walk to everything. The only constructive feedback I’d give to management is to find another place for the front desk smokers to smoke besides outside the front door. Coming back to the hotel required us to navigate through cigarette smoke, past an overflowing ash tray, and hold our breath up the stairs. It’s not the best first impression for your otherwise beautiful hotel. Easily fixable. Apart from that, we loved our stay.

This hotel is a real "find." The location was in the middle of town, yet quiet at night. The decor was stunning and comfortable. Every need was met. The staff very friendly and helpful with all of our questions. The room was immaculately clean and the bathroom spacious. The beds were extremely comfortable. We wished we had stayed more than one night. You are able to walk to all the sites in Zadar. A charming city by the city with charming people and this exceptional hotel is not to be missed.

Lovely small hotel in the heart of Zadar, yet quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful (for example, gave good guidance on parking outside the walled city). Comfortable and well-furnished rooms. A la carte breakfast, while good, was not as extensive as similar properties on our trip to Croatia.
