Art Hotel Kristal in restavracija pri Lovcu, BOHINJ, Bohinjsko Jezero

Wonderful breakfast and comfortable bed. I was in an economy single and there was very little natural light. The room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom was almost as big as the room with an excellent shower. The main drawback was the lack of air conditioning but reception organised a fan for me which helped somewhat. Because the hotel is on the edge of the village I took the half board option which consisted of soup and then a choice of a meat or a fish main followed by a desert that was always a surprise. It turned out really well for me but if you like to make your own choices perhaps not for you.

The Art hotel Kristal is in a great position just an easy 10 minute walk into lake Bohinj with also a bus stop outside going locally and also to Bled and Ljubljana.|The jewel of this hotel is it's restaurant and food. Breakfast is lovely with everything you could think of and the set evening meal at 25 euros for 3 courses is such good value. You would pay a lot of money for food like this in the UK. Everything has a local provenance and is beautifully presented.|The rooms are comfortable with good showers and a small balcony with table and chairs.|Surrounding all this is the amazing scenery, the walks nearby and plenty to see and do in the area. Don't go to Bled, this area is much better!

Amazing food experience. Dishes looked and tasted like I've never experienced anything like it before. Main dish, soup, wine... everything tasted great. Great compliment to the kitchen and the chef of this restaurant. But also the staff. I visited 3 times and the service had been always welcoming, friendly, professional and they surely know how to serve a customer. Prices are ok. Thank you for this experience.

I have just returned from a three week stay in the Gasperin Hotel in Bohinji. I have been informed this is my 20 plus visit. The Gasperin does not do evening meals but an arrangement exists withe Krystal. I ate numerous times during my stay and the food and wine were exemplary. The staff are very professional but also personable. I thank them for looking after me.

Hotel is located a bit down the road from the lake, so it takes about 10-15 mins to get there by paved road. But that walk is also quite scenic, no regrets. There's enough parking space in front of the hotel, no problem in that area. Room was very spacious, was cleaned regularly and had a great view from the terrace. Breakfast is amazing! Great selection of high quality options, so neither of our toddlers were complaining at any time, and to be honest, that's the best recommendation there is. This is a top value/price option and I'd definitely come back here.

We have already spent two mini weekend vacations here. We have always been satisfied and will come again.|The atmosphere is very homely, as it is a family-run hotel.|The rooms are nice and clean. They come in different sizes - for two or more people.|The food has always been good.|The staff is friendly.|The location is excellent for exploring beautiful nature.|The hotel offers free parking and Wi-Fi.|There is also a sauna and good massages available.|They also handcraft their own chocolates and chocolate products.||We recommend staying at this hotel.

We only went there to try some of the Chocolates made on site... was so worth it. Easy walk from where we were staying. And on the afternoon we visited, it wasn't busy, so the gentleman working there spent a bunch of time with us telling us about how the Chocolate was made and a whole bunch of information/history about the hotel itself.

Stayed nearby two years ago nearer the lake where the evening meals were included, The meals here though are on a massively higher scale, totally perfect and the service so friendly and prompt. Hotel room very nicely finished so would I select nearer the lake or here No contest here all day long and will definitely return
