Where to Stay in Milan When You Visit in 2025

"This four-star hotel is full of art—walking down the halls almost feels like being in a modern museum; the rooms are minimally decorated and a bit dated but spacious, all have a flat-screen TV, minibar, electric kettle and Nespresso machine, the bathrooms feel a bit small and dated but with great water pressure, and the hotel includes a wellness center (salt wall, sauna, steam room) plus an expansive breakfast buffet." - Matthew Kepnes

The 6 Best Hotels in Milan (Updated 2025)

"Full of art—walking the halls almost feels like being in a modern art museum—this four-star hotel has a wellness center with a small gym, sauna, and steam room and is just steps from one of the Navigli canals. I love the expansive breakfast buffet that starts at 7am, with eggs, meat, fresh pastries, seasonal fruit, and even a juice maker to make your own fresh juice. The rooms are a bit dated but spacious and include a flatscreen TV, minibar, electric kettle, and Nespresso machine; the showers are small and dated too but have great water pressure." - Matthew Kepnes

This is hands down the best hotel you can choose in Milano, it's near the Navigli canal and on a beautiful strip with so many restaurants (Risotto, Vegan options and Halal). No matter if you're going solo or with family, it's a beautiful hotel with art to admire in all corners. You'll be greeted by the most professional and courteous receptionist and in my case Daniele who treated us so kindly and was so helpful. He knew all about the city and can easily help you with anything in the hotel and outside in the city. He will make your first or if not first than any impression of Milano a great one. Warning: you won't want to come back from there 🇮🇹🤌❤️

Location was good on the quieter edge of Navigli but close by to all the bars and restaurants of the area. The hotel has 4 lifts and the WIFI worked very well. It also has a spa area on the top floor.||I opted for the breakfast on one day which had a very good choice of items and very fresh ingredients. The breakfast area was spacious and also has a conservatory area (20 Euros).||A buffet is often served from 18:30 for all guests that is complementary if you purchase a drink at the bar. The bar prices for a hotel were very reasonable (5 Euro glass of wine) and there was plenty of lounge space to relax in.||There was a small issue with the air conditioning on arrival but this was resolved by the staff by moving me to another room.

Price-quality wise this is the best hotel I've for a long time. Everyone is super friendly and polite, rooms are nice and properly cleaned and the breakfast is very good. A special thank you to the cocktailmaker/bartender who gave everyone a smile on there face and made me a fabulous frozen margarita to enjoy with the apero buffet they serve every night!

As per the title, the main selling point of this hotel in my opinion, is the location. As it is perfectly located in the Navigli district, close to the metro and tram lines.||I would say the hotel is slightly dated, but its clean and comfortable so no real complaints.||It would be harsh to give it a 4 star, but I think a fair assessment would be a 4.5.

The hotel is not too far away from tram-, metro- and train stations, all in very reasonable walking distances. Upon arrival I had a mixed first impression of the outside, because the building is looking fairly dated, but contrary to that, it was looking very modern on the inside. They are true to their name, having lots of pieces of art on display. When we arrived, the two rooms we've booked, weren't ready yet. They offered to stored away my luggage until then, but the employee forgot to hand me the ticket number attached to my baggage. That caused a little confusion later, when I went to pick it up once the rooms were prepared. But luckily that could get sorted out quickly and I got my things back. My personal single bedroom was very small, but had everything I'd expect it to have. As I've read in other reviews already, I can confirm that the sound proofing of the walls is truly terrible. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise around 11 to 12pm at night. It seemed like, there was some sort of construction going on in the room next door. Besides that, I could also clearly hear my neighbors phone VIBRATE at night and naturally also their alarm clock in the morning. The second booking, a premium double bedroom, had a non-functional shower, that couldn't get fixed in a timely manner. That made it necessary to relocate to another room two days in a row. Which was another mild inconvenience. The shower in my single bed room was working flawlessly, very constant water temperature and good water pressure. I would say the defective shower was an exception and nothing to expect normally when staying in this hotel. The room service tidied up the bedrooms, replaced the towels in the bathroom and put a free bottle of water in the mini-fridge every day. I was very satisfied with the breakfast room and breakfast selection. The employees paid attention, and were quick to ask if one would like any hot beverage or removed empty plates from the tables. I would recommend having breakfast in the hotel. During the day, there's been little buffets free of charge in the lobby area, next to the hotel bar. Around noon, you could choose from having a glass of water or juice, a cup of coffee or tea. Additionally, there were some fruits and coffee biscuits to pick from. In the evening one could choose from a variety of smaller snacks. The staff has been very friendly and tried to help with any issues we had to the best of their abilities and we felt very welcomed during our stay. Sadly we didn't find the time to explore the Spa and gym area. But they looked nice on the photos.

Great stay right on the canal and very close to Metro and Tram links into the centre of Milan. |Navagli brilliant for nightlife and restaurants but bring your bug spray as lots of Mossies. ||Hotel was nice, well presented and excellent location.

Yelp
TLDR; abusive staff member and inhumane practices. The worst hotel I've stayed at my entire life. Very rude and stalker front desk man who clearly hates his life to be obsessively monitoring each guest. He doesn't understand customer service or basic human decency at all. Just the one man with glasses (sorry I don't know his name) ruined my whole experience. I would never recommend this hotel. If management sees this, you should consider hiring someone else to take over the night shift. It was unbelievable. It was so bad that I had to book another hotel just to get away from this inhumane man. Really! I'd rather pay more to be treated with respect and have my own privacy at a so-called 4 star hotel.

Yelp
Since we love Navigli, we decided on a lengthy stay here, while I took care of business. We were glad we made the choice. This affordable hotel provided a spacious room, and a plentiful and delicious breakfast every morning. Laundry service and wireless internet were reliable and appreciated. This is not "the ritz" but it certainly worked for us and we look forward to returning.

Yelp
Great price (€115 for a Friday night). Really cool area - totally comes alive after sunset, with tons of restaurant and bar options and lots of pretty people to watch. A short 20-30 minute walk to the city center (Duomo, Teatro, etc). FREE WIFI!! Clean and functioning room. And the evening front desk staff - Sylvia & Agnostino - were stellar, from setting us up with a car service at four-freaking-thirty in the morning (stupid international flights) to getting room service to prepare little bags of food for us to take away since we'd be leaving long before the complimentary breakfast began. I would absolutely stay here again.
