Art Hotel on York

Very reasonable price for overnight work-related accommodation. Easy to access hotel and room, comfy bed and close to what I needed in the city. Bathroom a little dated, but overall clean given age. I was lucky enough to get the last parking spot in the carpark near the entrance. Fortunately, an easy walk to Seaport so I didn't need to leave after getting in at end of day. This was a repeat visit, and I will definitely stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights. The hotel inside and out is just stunning. The bed is extremely comfortable, it was perfect to indulge to sleep in. Our room was warm & cosy, beautifully decorated and had its own outdoor area which was perfect to relax . Staff were very friendly and helpful, the whole experience was perfect. It's an easy walk to cafes, restaurants and shopping. The only place we will stay when were turn to Launceston.

We had a very comfortable stay here. |The hotel is quaint with points of interest. It is an older style, which adds to the charm.|Our room was very comfortable. It was extremely clean. Bed was very comfortable, with a variety of pillows, the sheets crisp, and good wall heating, bathroom was old, but very clean and the shower had good hot pressure.|Our room had a casual lux feel makeover, albeit in a very old building, we were outside the main building, which was extremely quiet.|We appreciated the early check in, which we requested prior to arrival. |There was no breakfast available (they are working on that) but the staffs recommendation to a very close cafe was great. |We walked everywhere from this hotel. The furthest place of interest was 20min, some places 5min. It is very close to Penny Royal, the gorge, Stillwater Resturant. |It is on a main road, but when your inside it doesn’t matter. It was easy for uber pick ups!

Our second visit to this charming hotel.|It is centrally located , with a comfortable bed , well stocked fridge, a kettle for my morning cuppa and the room was spotless. Even an iron and ironing board. |It was delightful to be greeted by the charming and helpful gentleman at reception. |It is exceedingly good value and

We had a wonderful stay here for one day. As the name suggests, this is a hotel full of art works. Well maintained rooms, good location and helpful staff. Will definitely come back to stay more days.

Great little hotel, very central, nice friendly staff. I would’ve scored it 5 stars but my ensuite although very clean was a little quirky! The toilet is in a very narrow opening. Other than that, had a very nice stay, bed was very comfy. Thanks

Lovely place, booked in a rush at very short notice due to a flight cancellation, and they were amazing. Staff were helpful in getting us the passcode for the keys and everything we needed in what was a cold and late Monday night. The room was nicely furnished and the beds (double and single) were comfy, exactly what we needed. The shower was also big and lots of hot water. Tea, coffee, kettle provided. We were a little late to check out but again, the staff were flexible and friendly. What art we saw displayed in our room and walls of the hotel was beautiful. We will come back under more relaxing circumstances. Would recommend.

Very comfortable & an ideal place to unwind. Great location, price, & friendly staff. Whoever restored this classic hotel did a great job. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
