Art Hotel on York

Perfection! The hotel is a destination in itself, every room is different and tastefully decorated to enhance its vintage origins. Facilities top class, huge living space, comfortable beds, modern showers immersed with classic architecture. We were lucy enough to get a free upgrades for part of our stay and an return so had opportunity to experience several different rooms. Some had 4-poster beds, opened onto a courtyard or private outwoo space. All had outstanding art work. Not a hotel for children but a sensual delight for couples or singles who want first class surrounds in a great location. Easy work to town or cataract gorge and river. Highly reccommend.

Everything was great thank you. We stayed in our favorite room and were able to come and go as we needed to. Very comfortable, management and staff are always really friendly and accommodating. Very happy to recommend ART to anyone heading to Launceston who is in need of a great place to stay that is close to the city centre.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, bed very comfortable and the decor is so warm and cosy. Staff were wonderful and helpful. Lovely location to everywhere and even though on a corner nice and quiet.|Wonderful shower and lovely touch with tea and coffee facilities and min fridge. Loved my stay and will be back.

Would I recommend this place? Of course yes! It’s a nice heritage place that’s 150 years old, yet the rooms were modern and quiet. The gentleman at the reception offered us an upgrade , plus lots of recommendations about where to eat and what to do in Launceston. I definitely have this place at the top of my list when visiting Launceston next time!

We were in the former stables (listed as 'Queen Room' online) and it was fabulous. At first I was concerned with the location: it is right off the parking lot that is right off the street. However my concerns were entirely unfounded: the room was wonderfully quiet for the evening and everything was comfortable.|The hotel itself is really interesting --- it was apparently a former bakery. I wish we could return more frequently to see what the other rooms look like because the interior/decor of the entry is extraordinarily interesting and, given how much we liked our converted-stable room, it makes you wonder how the other rooms are designed.

Great ! |Comfy bed and super comfy pillows - brought my own and didn’t use it lol|So convenient to town, cafes, tourist spots. |And very affordable. |Only downside was noisy a/c but that may have been me as the operator 😬|Off street parking was a bonus.

Great room and service, location is close to everything and the staff were welcoming and attentive to needs. Bed was very comfortable and room clean, tidy and presented well. Would return on my next trip to Lauceston.

Had a few nights alone in Launceston following a weekend with friends and this was the perfect little hotel. |Location was short walk to food, supermarket, coffee, shops, parks, waterfront marina, Gorge. |Room was very clean, good size and loved the heritage features such as 4 poster bed, fireplace, lobby and outdoor courtyard which I didn’t utilise..|Service was helpful and appreciated first timer recommendations. |Would stay here again
