2nd time here. This is a classy hotel with much attention to detail and niceties like toiletries, decorations, and prosecco and a bag for carrying things on arrival. Breakfast room is nice with many choices and staff was pleasant and helpful. Housekeeping was good, too. Room is small, but is a traditional European hotel so to be expected. Location of hotel is great in terms of access to train station, key sites, and food/shops. Not sure why, but this stay was really bad for sleep vs. last time: could hear street noise, construction, and garbage collection endlessly. If you are not a heavy sleeper, it may be good to ask for a room that is quieter.

We had an amazing time in Bologna and could not have been happier with the Art Hotel Orologio!||Our room was beautiful and had every amenity we could have needed with an added bonus of a split of Prosecco on ice and fresh fruit waiting for us as a welcome. The location was perfect ...only steps away from the Piazza Maggiore yet on the edge of where cars could drive so our taxis and tour guides were able to meet us directly in front of our hotel. The owner of the hotel was often there with her adorable dog and they were both so friendly and welcoming, I really felt at home. The breakfast was so good and offered so many options to fill up before a day of exploring. I would definitely go back and encourage others to stay there. The staff at the front desk was always available and willing to help.

From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch. The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. We especially loved the attention to detail—everything from the quality of the linens to the complimentary amenities exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect, close to all the main attractions yet peaceful enough for a restful night. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of fresh options. We truly felt pampered throughout our stay and can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

It was the second time we stayed in this cozy hotel in Bologna. We took a suite with a separate bedroom, and enjoyed the quiet corner of the location very much. Breakfast was as always more than enough, and the lounge next to the breakfast room feels like a family room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only addition could be a daily refill of the minibar. We have found our preferred stay in Bologna.

My husband and I agreed, this was one of our favorite hotels from our recent trip to Italy, and since we visited 3 different cities and 5 different hotels we had a pretty good comparison set. The location of the hotel was absolutely fantastic. It was right in the middle of everything, so it was an easy walk to get to all of the sites and shopping and restaurants. The hotel room was beautiful and clean and comfortable, although the hallway to get to it was a bit quirky with a ramp going down to the room (and then up when leaving which I had to remember). The little mini bar and fridge in the room were hidden behind a mirror which was both cool and beautiful! The breakfast was very delicious and I wish I had gotten some pictures. I know some of the other reviews mentioned being able to hear the movie that was playing in the square in their room, but we listened for it while it was playing and could just barely make it out if we were dead silent and listening for it, it really wasn’t an issue at all, it certainly wasn’t loud or disturbing in any way. I’m sure it had to do with the location of our room.

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Very welcoming and the staff are the best. I can't recommend this hotel enough. Beautiful rooms, sumptuous buffet breakfast with the best coffee and such attention to detail - like the perfume as you enter the building. Loved the marble bathroom. We have never felt so welcome, this hotel is a posh home away from home. Can't wait to come back.

Hotel Orologio is a fantastic option while exploring the beautiful city of Bologna. The location is A++ -hard to imagine an option better, and the staff is cheerful and helpful. |Room accommodations are well appointed and comfortable, and the included breakfast is very nice.||Would highly recommend!

We were pleased with our stay at Hotel Orologio. The location could not have been better, right around the corner from Neptunes Fountain in the heart of old town. The room was clean and spacious with two bathrooms. All of the staff and the breakfast was attentive;) I would highly recommend and be happy to stay here again.
