Art House Project: Haisha

This is the funkier one of the art houses, but worth it. Like most of them, you have to take off your shoes. Wonder around, inside, upstairs and around the back.

It used to be a dental clinic. The building inside is like an old Japanese house and I couldn’t help but think about the past when people received dental care using old techniques and instruments. I don’t know why, but I felt like the house was trying to portray life in the past on this island.

None of the other art houses on the 5-house ticket seemed worth the visit except this one: truly a work of art.

One of the less interesting houses in Naoshima. You can be in and out of there in 5 minutes. If you’re tight on time don’t worry about this one.

Anything in this island is a 5 star attraction. This one included even though it is not one of the most impressive ones. But always interesting even if I can't even explain it haha

Nice to see, but a little bit all over the place. Exciting and very different from other art projects or even the great museums on Shikoku.

The visit of this former dentist house, work of Shinro Otake, is short and colourful. Part of the Art House Project in Naoshima, the outdoor was the most interesting piece for us; the Statue of Liberty inside was an unexpected surprise!
