Too expensive. Food good but not great. No one checked on us. My drink didn't taste like cherry or vanilla. Was disappointed as it was recommended drink. Felt strange giving a tip when no one had even served us yet. Had to order and pay at counter. Coffee, soda, cookie, two breakfast sandwiches and one side for 74 dollars and we had to get our own water..not very impressed. Staff was nice though, just wish someone would have come by and asked how things were. Seems to be a popular place!

Google
Best breakfast, best pizza, best cronuts, best bread - especially Kevin's buttermilk. The ingredients are of high quality. Love the atmosphere. There's free parking if you scan the QR code when you first walk in.

Art-Is-In Bakery is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the smell of freshly baked bread fills the air, making it impossible not to get excited about what’s to come. The vibe is modern yet cozy, with a welcoming atmosphere perfect for a casual breakfast, brunch, or a quick coffee break. The croissants are next-level—flaky, buttery, and perfectly crisp on the outside with a soft, airy interior. I also tried their sourdough bread, and it was phenomenal—chewy, flavorful, and with just the right amount of tang. Their brunch menu is equally impressive; the breakfast sandwich on a fresh-baked bun was absolutely delicious, and the pastries were beautifully made and full of flavor. The coffee was great, the service was friendly, and despite being busy, everything was well-organized. Whether you’re a bread lover, a pastry enthusiast, or just looking for a fantastic spot to grab a bite, Art-Is-In Bakery is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back!

Google
We’ve always wanted to try Art-Is-In for breakfast because of all the great reviews, and we’ve visited twice before to try their pastries, which are absolutely amazing! You can tell they’re super professional when it comes to baked goods—this time, the hazelnut-chocolate-coffee pastry was fantastic. That said, our breakfast experience was a bit of a letdown. We ordered the Egg Benny and The Breakfast Plate, but both were just average and nothing special. The bun on the Benny was soaked in oil, which made it unpleasant. As for the coffee, it tasted burnt, and even when I asked for a replacement, it was burnt again. I also ordered an Americano but was served filter coffee instead. The mocha was decent, but at $8 for a medium size, it felt overpriced. On a positive note, the staff here are super nice and friendly, which made the experience more enjoyable despite the issues. We’ll definitely come back for the pastries—they’re worth it! We also noticed a lot of people ordering their pizza, and it looked amazing, so that’s on our list to try next time.

What a gem! This bakery-lunch spot nails it on every level , the vibe, the food, and the service. The space is stylish and modern with just the right touch of cozy charm. Perfect for a relaxed lunch or a casual meet-up.

Google
It was my first time trying Art is in bakery and I came specifically to try a cronut for the first time. It my have been an off day but the ones I purchased have a bitter/burnt taste. I thought the colour was due to it being chocolate but it wasn't. For the price of one of those these overcooked/ burnt ones should not have been sold. The atmosphere while waiting to purchase was great, everyone was really friendly but the end experience was negative.

Art-Is-In Bakery has been a beloved spot for our family for years. Nestled in the heart of Ottawa, it truly is a hidden gem that consistently serves up some of the best food in the city. Whether you're there for a quick bite or a relaxed meal, the atmosphere is welcoming, the staff are friendly, and the food quality never disappoints. One of my absolute favorites is their tuna melt. It’s always perfectly prepared with a generous amount of filling, and the flavor is absolutely addictive. Every bite reminds me why we keep coming back. Their bread pudding is another standout item. It’s rich, indulgent, and simply heavenly—an absolute must-try if you visit. However, despite how much we enjoy the food, there’s no ignoring the elephant in the room: the pricing. I understand that we live in a post-COVID world where inflation has affected almost every aspect of life, including dining out. But paying $20 for just a tuna melt sandwich feels excessive, even for a place known for its gourmet offerings. Don’t get me wrong—the food and service are consistently top-notch, and the staff always go out of their way to ensure you have a great experience. Still, the high prices make it difficult to justify eating here as often as we’d like. It’s the only thing keeping me from giving this place a full 5-star rating. Overall, Art-Is-In Bakery is a fantastic spot for food lovers who don’t mind splurging a bit. While the pricing might not be for everyone, the quality of the food and the exceptional service make it worth visiting, even if only occasionally. I’m giving it 4 stars out of 5—and would recommend it with the caveat that it might stretch your budget.

Google
The food is good but overpriced. For example, the breakfast below was $20 and consisted of only eggs benny with zero toppings and a large hashbrown. Tasty enough but definitely overpriced. Also, the online menu (which seemed better) does not match the new in-store menu.

Yelp
October 19/2014: Breakfast with my Al. Not sure what the hype is all about with this place. The food was only mediocre in my opinion. I had the Breakfast Sandwich. It was SO ordinary! Two eggs, bacon, cheese. Just blah ($17.00). It came with a house made ketchup that was more curry based than anything. It did come with a coffee which was good. I also had a garlic/herb scone, it was good but again not spectacular. The service was good but kinda slow. Very loud as it's causal self-serve seating. Here's the kicker...if you want jam for your toast...it's $1.50 EXTRA! This is over not a do over in my opinion.

Yelp
My first time here. Walked in sunday morning the place was full. You can scan a code for 90min free parking. Just bring your plate number. You need to scan a QR code and enter information. We gave our name to the hostess. About a 30 minutes wait, there was two couples and a family before us. On sunday only the breakfast and not sandwich menu is available. I always get the the same thing for breakfast eggs and becon. The candied becon was amazing, the beans... really not for me not sweet or salty. Lacking flavour. My boyfriend received is plate cold. They might had forgot to put under the light or It was ready before mine. I got a side of mayo (extra) was a little over $55 for both plates, mayo and tips. You pay before you sit down you give your number of table. They have a great selection of to go meal that look amazing. I also saw they had a maple vanilla latte that I wanted to try. But didn't want to have coffee past twelve. Next time it is. Overall happy with my experience.

Yelp
A must visit when in Ottawa! From my fall trip to Ottawa/Gatineau back in October, it was a coincidence that this spot was right in the neighborhood of where my friend was staying at! I am glad I made the pit stop for this bakery as I wish I had visited back in my university days at Carleton U! Known for their pastries and brunch menu, Art-Is-In Bakery always focuses on quality and rustic charm in all their menu items from their croissants to Eggs Benedict! I can't wait to go back again!

Yelp
I had a pizza so good that I'm genuinely mad now because I know no other pizza will be as good. lost in Wakefield had caramelized onions, mushrooms, basil, pork-fennel sausage. there wasn't that much sausage but I'm not even upset about it because the pizza was so good. only 4 stars because I didn't know a small pizza could cost this much ($29) ordered for take out so no comments on service or ambiance

Yelp
It's totally worth the 4.5 hours drive (from Toronto) over the long weekend just to get my hands on their infamous "O-Towner" cronut! The cronut was flaky and soft, and together with the strawberry-raspberry cream filling it was just so perfect! The cream wasn't that sweet which was a bonus. If you thought the cream only existed on the exterior as decoration, you were totally wrong. Once the cronut was cut open, there was cream hidden so it would stay creamy and flaky every single bite! On Sundays the bakery opened until 2pm for brunch service only, which meant you could only select from their breakfast menu if you were craving for something hot to fill your stomach. We ordered their eggs benny with a side of roasted potato. The eggs were cooked perfectly and beautifully with lava-runny yolks on top of buttery English muffins, covered with Hollandaise sauce... my oh my!!

Yelp
It was so busy but it was so good! I had a thai chicken sandwich to go and grabbed some pastries and some pizza for making at home. It was amazing. And even though it was busy it was well organized and the line moved quick! Parking is easy, sitting was easy even though I only stayed a bit. I will be back! Oh great menu too, flexible, something for everyone including meat eaters and vegans.

Yelp
We come to Ottawa about once a year and never knew this place existed until it was featured on the Food Network. Expectations were high and Art Is In delivered! We dined in on Saturday morning and although the place was busy, there was lots of place to sit since the outdoor terrace can accomodate a lot people. All menu options were online so we already knew what we wanted - we tried the "fatty spuddy" breakfast sandwich which has an egg, bacon, a giant hasbrown patty in an english muffin served with house ketchup and hollandaise sauce. My partner got the eggs bene and avocado plate. The portions are generous and filling, I did not expect my sandwich to be this giant. We also got to try their famous O towner pastries which are a cross between a donut and a croissant, filled with pastry cream, a giant mushy chocolate cookie and a raspberry bar. Everything we tried was delicious and unique. I love that everything is truly made from scratch, the ketchup and even the bacon are prepared in house - it doesn't get any better. A must visit if you love pastries, breads and want a satisfying, high quality breakfast. I know they also make pizzas for lunch and those looked equally amazing. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Still a great spot to pickup bread and lunch. They have a lot of seats inside for indoor dining, but gets very busy during the lunch hours. Pizza is amazing and surprisingly big. Burger is juicy, beefy and also very good. They do need to add pizza to their online ordering... Because it does take a bit to order in person and wait for the pizza to come out.

Yelp
I came up to Ottawa from Rochester, NY with some friends and of all of our meals, breakfast-dinner, this was our favorite. I never heard of Art is in Bakery, but I read that I could not get breakfast in Ottawa without coming here. My friends and I arrived about 5 mins after opening and the line was already out the door. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a croissant and the hazelnut O-towner doughnut. The breakfast sandwich was divine! The croissant was light and buttery and the bacon was sweet, salty, and crispy. I did not expect to be so blown away by the O-towner doughnut. It was light and airy and the filling was perfect. It had just the right level of sweetness without overpowering the doughnut. We initially sat outside because it was beautiful out, but we were constantly being swarmed by bees, so we ended up sitting inside. Despite that, the bakery looked lovely inside. It was really artsy with a lot of nice work on the walls. Overall, Art is in Bakery is a wonderful establishment with lovely workers and my friends and I continue to talk about how we would take a day trip to Ottawa anytime to enjoy this place again!

Yelp
I've been here twice now, once for breakfast and once for lunch! Lots of parking available and nice outdoor area if you like to eat outside in the summer. Both breakfast and lunch was very tasty. For lunch, I had a chicken sandwich and for breakfast I had the French toast. They have a variety of baked good and drinks available as well that I haven't yet tried I do have to say that prices are steep. For counter service where you fill your own water, I think 24$ +tax for two slices of French toast and berries is a bit much. That being said, it was delicious so I would probably come back in the future!

Yelp
You cannot brunch in Ottawa without coming here. It is not easy to get to without a car, but well loved by locals with extensive seating available indoors and picnic bench style outdoors. The menu is very extensive and at times overwhelming with burgers, brunch items, burgers, and exceptional pizza. They even have unique items like Croque Monsieur for the prententious friend that wants to be fancy when you are eating a brunch burger. The burgers are HUGE and you surprise yourself that you can hold it in your hands some days. There are many items for the friends with a low appetite or someone who is not hungry. They have a huge selection of freshly baked breads and the Cronut is to die for with seasonal flavors. All the items have generous portions. The only downside is the take home aisle that is really overpriced and a bit of a scam. They have jars for ready to make cookies, or unbaked cinnamon rolls, or pints of ice cream for the $15-$25 range which I find to be a bit uncomfortable pricing wise for items you then have to prepare yourself... If you stay away from the overpriced items, you are in for a one of a kind treat!

Yelp
We cruised into this funky, industrial boulangerie for brunch on a rainy Thursday, café style and loved it! The space: outdoor terrace with picnic tables and plenty of indoor tables or bar seating. Place your order at the counter for quick delivery at your dedicated/numbered table. Bonus specialties: phenomenal breads, creative and tradition baked pastries. Home to the famous O-Towner croissant-doughnut stuffed with kiwi/lime or banana/chocolate custard. The food: As the plates were set, the lovely aeromatic scent of fresh herbs tickled my curiosity! Fresh dill, rosemary and parley were found tossed with the crispy golden fries served with the Big K burger-which tasted like an elevated version of a BMac! The eggs Benny with amazing, crispy smoked bacon, served with a potato cake and tomato chutney style ketchup was a fun mixture of dynamite flavors. The lovely, light roast from Wakefield, Quebec @bluebarn coffee is found at the self-serve bar. (As a coffee lover, this delicate brew makes the perfect second, third or fourth cup ) Absolutely worth trying!

Yelp
so let me start from the manager who greeted us at the door , she asked if we had ever been to the restaurant at which point I said we saw the restaurant featured in diners, drive ins and dives so we were visiting from Toronto and wanted to check it out . Her response was "really ?! huh why ? I will say our server was extraordinary he described the food , was attentive and very apologetic when we spoke about the manager and food and in the end he did all he could to help make up for everything. Now the food , the chicken sandwich had a small piece of chicken only filling half of the bun and was so salty it could not be eaten . the pizzas were salty as well but also close to burnt and they got the order wrong so we had to wait for another pizza but while waiting the manager came and asked if we were still hungry because we hadn't finished our food and we said we were waiting on the other pizza at which time she grumbled oh and walked away . Our waiter then informed us she had given our pizza we were waiting for away to another table !! At this point we said we would take it to go as it was getting to be a long wait and he said we would get two desserts to go for the trouble ( we were a table of 7 by the way) but we said ok thinking we would get 2 cronuts as that is their specialty so we were happy . when we got home we opened the desserts only to find apple crumble that looked like it had been dropped on the floor . The music in the restaurant was also so loud you could not talk amoung ourselves . The two stars are because of our server but for nothing else . We will never recommend this restaurant or go back .

Yelp
Never disappointed in this place. Hot Honey Crispy Chicken is my go to here and it maybe the best chicken burger I've ever had. So flavourful. Also got the kids burger and fries and the Brunch Burger. Always so good. They have teamed up with Local Lager to have beer on tap.

Ahmed F.

Yelp
Have one of the best brunch in the city. Theirs French toast is to die for, it's taste amazing.
google avatar

Jasmine L.

Yelp
The O-towners here...they were heavenly, an indulgence, a tower of croissanty airy crunchy sugary texture! And the filling! It was perfect with the amount and sweetness so it's not overbearing on the pastry itself! We went first thing in the morning (bc they sell out quick!) and snagged 2 O-towners. One with a Coffee chocolate pudding filling & the other had a Vanilla berry custard. Both were 5/5 amazing! I loved that the berry one had real smashed berries mixed into the custard. We also had a sticky bun which was good, but not mind blowing.

Loretta F.

Yelp
Amazing! It's in a warehouse district, so we were a little skeptical, but we're so glad we went anyway. The pastries were fabulous, but the Croque Madame was divine. The flavor and the crispy, yet gooey texture should win a culinary award.
google avatar

Carl P.

Yelp
The ambience is perfect for a casual meal. However, there is nothing casual about the quality of the food. Whether you're having breakfast, lunch or a pizza or the burger for supper the experience is exceedingly good. Service is a perfect accompaniment.

Yelp
When I was in Ottawa I saw the rave reviews for Art is In so I had to go. We passed by for some morning pastries. After seeing the lunch and dinner menu, I wish we had come by for a meal! Their pizza looked delicious on the menu. We picked up a few pastries: almond croissant, butter croissant and their famous O tower (black currant flavour). The o tower is essentially a Cronut .... But a HUGE cronut!! And a perfect one at that. I wish I wasn't eating this in the car so I could get a picture of the cross section because it was immaculate. The lamination on the croissants was also impressive and they definitely achieved that crispy exterior and flaky interior. I'd definitely go back on my next trip through.
google avatar

Yelp
Came back for the pizza nights, which only happen on week nights and it was pretty smokey inside. It was busy but we got a table within 20 minutes or so. The pizza was good, but each pizza was like ~40 dollars. It was a fun night out with friends but probably not my go to place for pizza. If you're looking for a traditional pizza, this isn't it. But they do have some cool wacky pizzas like spaghetti and meatballs on pizza.
google avatar

Kristy R.

Yelp
This is a really fun location for brunch. The menu is a bit smaller than the rest of the week, but the food is really good. Total upfront warning however - the prices are a little high for some of the items. Yes, its very good quality. But $18 for an eggs and bacon plate is high. BUT that plate comes with your choice of their very delicious bread. So, worth it for an occasional splurge. The coffee here is a total treat. I tried the vanilla maple latte with oat milk and absolutely LOVED it. We lucked out and got to enjoy one of the last gorgeous falls days out on the patio. The patio is technically a sectioned off part of the parking lot, but that's part of the charm of this particular building. It's also right next to the patio from Beyond The Pale. And if Art Is In closes a little early (like it did for us - Sun at 2pm) then you can just step right on over to Beyond The Pale and continue your fun in the sun.

Yelp
Highly recommend this delicious restaurant in Ottawa! Friendly staff, diverse menu items, tasty treats and urban environment.

Jonathan K.

Yelp
Never knew this place was strapped for cash. Who would've ever thought that an establishment that charges $40 for a large pizza and $15 for a Ceasar salad would be charging their clients $5.00 for half a container of sauce. $5.00 for this dipping sauce. Opened it and it was half full. What a joke. $5 for dipping sauce. Meanwhile for $8 you get a pound of fries with two dips. Lots of logic here or just ripping people off. Can't tell which.
google avatar

Amber B.

Yelp
The best baked goods in town!! Must try the O-downer donuts, so flaky & delicious! Nothing like it in Ottawa.

Yelp
I REALLY wanted to like this place, but I can't. It's SUPER loud, between the music at too high a volume, the barista constantly banging on things, the kitchen clanging, people talking and it being a warehouse with no sound dampening surfaces besides people, it's an overload to the senses. Honestly, that plus the caffeine, my nerves are fried. It is noisy and CHAOTIC and in no way relaxing. On to the food: I got avocado toast, a kronut, a maple latte and an espresso.... For $31, which seems high to me. On top of that, I could not hear the girl who took my order. She and I both had to repeat everything 3 times. I sat down at a table that was uneven and shifted every time I put my fork down. First off, there is no way to eat this Kronut without knife and fork, which seems a little silly. Also, to my surprise about 80 levels down there's a thick layer of pastry cream/frosting which is completely unnecessary. All I could taste was frosting and I was completely underwhelmed with the taste I got for the amount of calories. The avocado toast was....bland. I think they mashed an entire avocado on top of bread that was so hard on the bottom I could barely cut it, especially on my uneven table. The espresso was fine, the maple latte, meh. So much for getting work done while I wait for my flight. I need to go somewhere to have a beer and calm my nerves now. I really wanted to like this place, but I didn't.
google avatar

Hadia G.

Yelp
Always an awesome spot for lunch. We had the tuna melt sandwich (our favorite ) and their awesome double cooked fries.. the best in town! And you can never eat at Art is In and skip dessertS, we got a catamaran vanilla Kronut and a raspberry scone.. when you go there for lunch you can't stop and wonder is everyone out for lunch today! Always busy, always friendly and always fresh!

Yelp
Delicious brunch sitting outside at a covered table. The foods we tried were are delicious. The choco-brownie cronut, cinnamon roll, and French toast.

Yelp
We visited Ottawa for the Family Day weekend and our cousins took us here. Our Toronto cousins always make a stop here for their yummy breakfasts! Since we had 13 people (6 adults and 7 kids 3-11 in age) we were up early and went early. Good thing too because it gets super busy and you have to order first before taking a seat. You would never notice this place if you didn't know of its location. It is situated in the back of what looks like an industrial building. We were created with a display FULL of delectable goodies: cronuts, cookies, croissants and other baked goods. Their brunch menu was very appealing. We ordered the candied maple eggs Benedict. It came with a potato hashbrown cake. The egg was perfectly poached and the candied maple bacon was delicious! Our kids tried the savory French toast which had bacon on it and cheddar cheese (we asked for it in the side). I think I would've preferred the sweet French toast that had berries and whipped cream. French toast just seems right with berries instead of bacon. The kids thought that the toast was a bit in the sweet side. The breakfast burgers were enormous. One of the older kids got one and was able to devour the entire thing! We definitely want to return the next time we visit Ottawa.

Yelp
Still enjoy this place. Busy though so try to avoid the core hours if you can - otherwise plan to stand in line. There are a few notable things about this business... Great bread. Great pastries. Great breakfast/ brunch. Good coffee. This is a business that listens - they constantly tweak to improve. Haven't tried it yet but they now do pizza in the evenings on weekdays. Good customer service and attention to keeping tables cleaned and turned. Would I return? Yes Would I recommend? Yes, highly.

Yelp
A delicious surprise on our recent visit to Ottawa. We had been at a wedding the evening before and the bartender recommended this place for brunch. We we're not disappointed, everything we ordered was so delicious! Fun location in an old factory with a very cool atmosphere.

S. I.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the sandwich and salads I had - they lived up to the name! I was visiting from out-of-town and ending up going twice in just about a week. It was a well-deserved recommendation from Bon Appetit magazine.

Yelp
O M G! WHY OH WHY is this amazing spot not in Toronto and in Ottawa?!? The only reason I say this is because it was legit one of my most memorable dining experiences. Located in an industrial looking building, by Ottawa's little Italy is one of the best bakeries I've ever been to. Walking in and I immediately see a beautiful coffee machine to my left and a counter with pastries. I ordered a coffee & an Almond pastry. It was great - the pastry was flaky and had a nice subtle almond taste. We waited till 9:30 for the lunch menu and for good reason. PICKLE SANDWICH. I know you're thinking.... what..... but it was delicious. Deep Fried Pickles with crispy bacon and cheese! I can't even describe how amazing it was, I would definitely come back just for that. The side of fries was also amazing, probably in the top 5 for fries. I was also amazed by how creative the owner was with his menu selection. Everything was made in house and they are a bakery that has tons of pastries, freshly baked bread & delicious food options. Keep Eating, Angela

Yelp
Terrific almond croissant Donut hole was REALLY good, especially if you love cinnamon Lot of good looking and fresh breads
google avatar

Xiaobin W.

Yelp
Like the housemade "ketchup" that has a subtle taste of cumin and other herbs. The umami sauce for the burger was comforting, but a bit too rich with melted aged cheddar cheese and two patties together. Was pretty safe eating outside at the patio seats. Hope the seats can be sanitized as well.

Vanessa L.

Yelp
First off: GET THE KRONUTS their pastries are so delicious. However, this review is about their burgers! Still a solid place that my family goes to because we find their mains and desserts quite delicious. The staff is really friendly and this place, generally, gives off a sense of community and I really love that vibe!
google avatar

Shira G.

Yelp
Came here for brunch, which was fine, but the money's in the pastries. I had the eggs benny with candied bacon. The bacon tasted like those ready-crisp microwaveable strips. Would have liked the bacon to be thicker and more candied, personally. The potato cake also left something to be desired; the outside was crispy but the inside tasted completely undercooked. The cinnamon bun, in the other hand, was absolutely delicious. Even the bites without the cinnamony swirls. I also tried the strawberry peach Kronut, which was perfectly flaky and sugary! Will definitely be back for pastries, but will probably go elsewhere for brunch.
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
Came in for brunch & also took some pastries to go! Had their mac and cheese with pesto & garlic bread - damn was that one of the best mac and cheese ever. What a delicious twist & was so satisfying. Definitely a shareable plate as it was heavy. Took home 2 cronuts - damn they looked beautiful. So flaky and soft - it was just a bit too much cream inside for my liking... however overall an amazing experience
google avatar

Michy L.

Yelp
Always a must visit for me. The place has a very cozy warehouse/vintage mix. When you walk in, it is alwayd buzzing with life and the smell of fresh baked bread welcomes you like a warm hug. The food is simply the most top in comfort food. Their seafood chowder is hands down the best I have had in Ontario and that bread...my goodness! No wonder they need a separate line for those who come just to get some baked goodies! The service is friendly, funny, and warm. Everyone there seems to be in a good mood and it really brings life to the place.

Justin S.

Yelp
This is the best pizza in Ottawa hands down. It's thin but the crust is still Extremely fluffy and crispy at the same time. Sesame seeds are something I didn't know a pizza needed until now! The cronuts and coffee are top tier, and this place also has beer
google avatar

Brittany T.

Yelp
I had heard good things about this place, so I decided to go with my parents when they were visiting. We arrived at about 11:15 and the line-up was out the door. We ended up in line until about 11:45 and were finally seated with our food at about 12. It seemed like it was pretty typical for it to be very busy, so be prepared to wait in line. However, my understanding is if you are just getting take-away, you go into another line that is much quicker (probably about 5 minutes of waiting). Parking was free for the first 90 minutes, so this was ok. Now for the food - it was delicious! We ended up ordering two eggs Benedict, one super salad, two sides of toast, two lattes, one coffee, and one croissant. The eggs Benedict came with a small salad and a potato cake (see picture). The bill came to $64 (not including tip), so be looking to spend ~$18-$25/person when coming here (most dishes are $16 though there were some cheaper options, drinks are between $2-$5, and sides were about $3). All in all, I'll definitely come back, but it'll likely be on special occasions due to how busy the place is and the fact that it's slightly on the more expensive side.

Yelp
Location: I'm not too sure but it kind of felt like an industrial building! There's a large parking lot so parking isn't an issue. The place: They've got ample indoor seating and a patio set up in the lot right outside their space. We were only going to buy bread so we didn't stick around. This place does get line-ups and it was no different when we went (Saturday). The line was well set up with everyone respecting the 2M rule. The bakery was allowing only a certain number of people in at a time, and masks were enforced. The goods: Great rosemary & garlic bread (I'd tried this on a prior visit and needed to stock up!). I also got a loaf of olive bread and a loaf of white that I haven't tried yet. I can tell you that their bread is super fresh! Service: Good. Price point: I think my 4 loaves cost $15 with tax.

Yelp
Truly inspired baking in an artisanal tradition that blends various kinds of fresh-baked goods along with full meals to purchase a la carte.

Yelp
I've been here a few times for lunch now and I love it. I am obsessed with their fried pickle sandwich and I can't get myself to get anything else. Next time though! This time again I got the fried dill sand which (around 13$) it was so good. The bread is so cheesy and fresh and perfect. And the sauce is also amazing and has a kick to it. I also got the chowder which comes with a piece of bread and it was really good and filling (7.99$). They have a soup and sand which combo but the dill sand which can't be included in it, which is really sad for me. I usually also get fries but I didn't this time. The fried are very good though! And come with two sauces. They have a lot of seating but it's super busy here every time I've been here. They have a lot of fresh breads, pastries and Kronuts. They also have a few wines and beers now and pizza mon- Friday which looks amazing but I have yet to try it. The parking in the lot is paid parking. Overall, great vibes and food and I highly recommend.

Yelp
No doubt about it, they're all about delicious baked goods but be prepared to pay for them. Our lunch for two came to 50 dollars with tip. You wait in line, and hopefully you've got good vision because the menu is on the wall behind the counter and it's difficult to make out until you're on top of it. They give u a number and bring the food to you. Tables can be a bit scarce despite a few large communal ones. I had a roast beef sandwich which was good and hubby had the Mac and cheese. It was very unique. It was topped off with 3 falafel balls, shredded pickled beets, pickled onions, hot peppers and cilantro. I think they emphasize healthy. I almost OD'd on the arugula on my sandwich. I also had a raisin scone that was very good. Specials today were macaroni and cheese, reuben and a fried chicken sandwich. Soups were clam chowder and a vegan mushroom coconut. Parking is a little confusing. It's pay parking but the first 90 minutes are free but you need to be in a designated spot. There is some street parking so try and snag one of those if u can. Inside is a little frenetic but staff seemed very nice.

Yelp
You could cover an entire wedding cake with the amount of cream I had in my cronut. I found myself on a rescue mission trying to fish out the pastry from the raging sea of sickening cream. So cronut is a no, but I cannot speak for the rest of the menu. I had to stand in line for quite a bit before someone showed up to take orders. This might be related to being understaffed or poor treatment others are commenting on.

Yelp
The baked goods are good. The croissant are great. The eat in breakfasts are ok and the tables are a bit rickety and you have to bus your own table

Yelp
3 stars for the kronut. 4 stars for everything else. Planted between a cluster of art design shops and warehouses, this abnormally large bakery brings people by the folds, whether grabbing fresh bread or coffee. The ham and cheese croissant were phenomenal! Everything I would ever hope and dream for was packed in that fairly square bun. The ham had a robust, salty taste, the cheese was creamy with some tang, and the croissant itself was gooey in the inside, while having a flaky outside. Make sure you order one of these. The kronut was just ok. What should be an orgasmic experience felt like an inflated donut. They load the insides full of cream, which is great in theory, but ends up being quite a bit of filling. You should eat this if you are driving or walking around. Perhaps these would get better after a day, but I'd say skip their kronuts.

Yelp
The best bread in Ottawa, hands down! There are really good other food choices here as well, should you wish to dine in. The cronuts are delicious!!
