Watch out for aunty touts at the entrance who will follow you into the market in an attempt to earn commission from bringing you to the shops. The place is almost devoid of visitors and many of the shop lots were closed. Lots of wooden handicrafts and clothes. Paintings are mostly low quality. You'll find better cheap paintings in Sukawati art market. Bought two cotton batik shorts (180k bargained to 50k each), fridge magnets 10k each and a traditional shirt for 275k which sells for more than 500k at Krisna Oleh2 Bali. The place is generally not conducive for shopping due to narrow walkway and poor ventilation. Many Shops in the building and vicinity sell traditional cloth for sewing.

A huge local market with one building full of vegetables, fruits, meat, spices, and all kinds of other food items. Don't expect a fancy place; I think it was once an old parking garage that's been converted into a market. However, it's well-organized, with sections fully dedicated to fruit, another to vegetables, and so on. Mostly locals shop here. The other building offers a wide variety of souvenirs, all at the lowest prices you can find in Bali. You can find bags, plates, kitchen accessories, bracelets, hair accessories, utensils, and so much more. Be prepared to bargain, even though the prices are already very low by Bali standards. You can still negotiate further if you wish.

Pasar Kumbasari in Denpasar, Bali, is a vibrant and eclectic market that offers a rich blend of art, culture, and local flavor. This market is divided into two main buildings, each serving a unique purpose and contributing to the overall charm of the area. The first building is a treasure trove for art enthusiasts. It houses numerous art shops specializing in a wide array of crafts and artworks. Whether you're looking for traditional Balinese paintings, intricate carvings, handmade jewelry, or unique souvenirs, you'll find an impressive selection to choose from. The vendors are often artisans themselves, providing an authentic and personal shopping experience. Adjacent to this artistic haven is the second building, which transforms into a bustling fresh market. Here, you can immerse yourself in the daily life of locals, exploring a variety of fresh produce, meats, and spices. Amidst the hustle and bustle, don't miss the opportunity to try a local street snack called lumpia. These delicious spring rolls are freshly prepared and generously drizzled with a sweet tangy peanut sauce, offering a delightful burst of flavors. Pasar Kumbasari is also noted for its cleanliness, a commendable aspect for a market of its size and activity. Adding to the market's allure is its picturesque setting along a river, complete with benches where you can sit, relax, and soak in the surroundings. The serene river views provide a perfect contrast to the vibrant market atmosphere, making Pasar Kumbasari a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Denpasar.

We found all of our souvenirs here! The shops are really cute and the owners are very friendly here. They dont force you to go inside and just greet you friendly. We had to do a bit of bargaining but most of the stuff was already so cheap for us as tourists that we just bought it anyway. The owners are so grateful when you buy something from them.

We got corner by a lady, and then another, and then ... you got the idea! Can't shake them off. They all sell the same thing, if you have seen a store, you have seen all the store. The only reason give this place 3 stars is because a shop make a fair price for my hairpin (I regret not taking their photos, but will comeback next time). 1 kindness! Other wise, watch out, especially all the textile places, all triple the price I look on Lazada, or Shopee, so watch out!

I love this place. Too many handmade, crafts & paintings that are cute & nice. Definitely wanna go back again. I don't know the price, i hope not to be crazy expensive after the renovation. Been here before renovation. They have a lounge. It's connected to Badung Market. And the place for sitting under the building in front of Tukad Badung. Curious at night to see this place.
