There is a huge range of works in all manner of materials and genres. There are works and carvings on wood, paintings on paper linen and board and so much more. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. If you are interested the market for high quality, ethical and beautiful first people’s art, this is the place.

Lovely gallery director. Excellent range of art work. Great connection with and knowledge of the artist. We actually met the artist of a piece that we saw and instantly loved, so we bought on the spot! We'd love to come back and get more when we can afford it. There is a range of prints, plates, coasters, etc too.

What a comprehensive collection of Aboriginal Art at Art Mob. We have been looking for a special piece of Art for our home and after searching in galleries in both Melbourne and Sydney we were so delighted to find two stunning paintings to have in our home back in Melbourne. Jo was so patient and helpful taking time to understand what we wanted and offered suggestions and presented paintings to consider. She made it such an enjoyable experience. Once we made our decision both Jo and David were so helpful organising the paintings to be shipped to our home. Thank you both for the great experience.

Euan is a charming knowledgeable art dealer. It was a pleasure doing business with him.

Large range of works in several styles, though quite routinely looking - perhaps mostly aiming cruise passengers, in my opinion.

Purchased a Yuendumu Dog Program piece. Can't believe how you can get such an intricate piece, ship to and hold in Hobart and sell for only $45. Amazing. While I was there the proprietor greeted visitors from a cruise boat - each in their native tongue. Again, remarkable.

Don't buy anything here, it's so expensive. Two or three times more expensive than Adelaide galleries or WA galleries for the same paintings from the same artists... A 30x30cm painting for 400$ ??? really ??? I've seen the same for 130$ !!! What a joke ! I bought most of my paintings directly from the artist and others in good galleries in direct relation with artists. In all the cities you only find these kind of crazy prices. If you want real arts at real price, travel a bit in Australia ;)

We were staying at the Macq01 Hotel across the street getting ready for a hike when I decided to pop into this little art gallery. Art Mob focuses on aboriginal artists and art work and I was stunned to see they had quite the collection inside. Unfortunately their space is much too small to display the immense amount of wonderful art work inside however this space is strategically placed to allow for a lot of foot traffic. Over my stay here, I ended up getting several pieces both from aboriginal artists local to Tasmania. One piece by Julian Oates is a wonderful modern piece that doesn't come much with the artist's own interpretation but clearly includes elements of aboriginal style. His brother, Reuben Oates, also paints and I ended up getting a couple of paintings from him as well featuring more classic aboriginal style with Australian native fauna. Euan is the gallery director and is extremely accommodating. For those not local, you can purchase from the website and then have it shipped anywhere. We of course were having it shipped to the US and they will package it all up for us with minimal costs. Some artists are happy to take commissioned art pieces so if something strikes your fancy but it's sold already, get in touch with Euan who can help you get what you want! Wish I had a few more days to browse the collection but alas all great things come to an end. Look forward to my next trip to Tasmania so I can stop by again!
