Architecturally stunning and packed with amazing exhibits! Alongside classics from the Rhineland, there are always exciting temporary exhibitions throughout the year. The museum is bright, spacious, and modern – perfect for getting completely immersed. Plus, there’s a cozy café, a small bookstore, fair ticket prices, and an affordable parking garage just a few steps away. Make sure to bring plenty of time – there’s so much to see. And as a sweet bonus: delicious cake! Coat check, museum shop, and restrooms are all free – a complete experience.

It's an open museum with no clear instructions where to start, but overall the permanent exhibition is ok-ish and a bit difficult to follow through the path. The highlight is the TEMPORARY EXHIBITION OMG, from now until around september/october they have a "dawn til dust" temporary exhibition which is sooo creative and so eye opening. I would highly recommend buying the tickets especially for the temporary exhibition. Also they have the "three in one" package where you buy one ticket in this museum and can be used in also Wallraf (Cologne) and Kunstpalast (Dusseldorf). The cafe was okay, nothing special. The open space summer exhibition is also a perfect spot for picnic with weird / also creative artworks that has implicit meaning.

Very nice museum, a beautiful experience. A little bit confusing since I did not find any indication regarding the direction and the room sequence. The temporary exposition that I saw were amazing, of impact, and emotional. There are also some videos, very interesting and strong, but make attention if you are sensible to some contents. Maximum of 2 hours to see all rooms.

A must visit when in Bonn or its surroundings. Very good museum with good exhibitions and exceptionally smooth service. We visit Sunday at 4 pm. We were 7 and paid around 31 euros to be able to visit various kinds of very interesting art exhibitions. The building itself is already something to admire. Modern, clean and artistic. The exhibition flow are well and neatly arranged with good and efficient service staff from ticketing all the way to the gift shop. It's not too busy on sunday afternoon so we can take as much time as we need to do observe the arts.

I went there without planning on a Sunday and had no idea what to expect. Although the standard ticket price is fairly reasonable (I think 8 EUR), I was lucky to enter free of charge because of "Sparda-bank day". I really loved their permanent August Macke exhibition. Moreover, I really liked the architecture of the museum. The cloakroom was free of charge and WC was clean. You can buy postcards in the shop. There is a Cafe offering food and drinks with reasonable prices. I just had a coffee, but the food looked interesting too. Definitely recommend a visit if you're in Bonn!

I’m pretty sure this was the worst experience in whole Europe, after paying visit to more than 100 museums. The employees are more than art pieces, they ask me not to hold my jacket in hand instead of wearing it or tie it at waist, really weird. The exhibition is also boring btw.

Good not best. Art collection is also average. Has a little souvenir shop with books. But who loves to see building architecture, he or she definitely will enjoy the spaces! Service people are polite and nice.

The Kunstmuseum Bonn is fantastic for those who appreciate modern art, the collection is quite extensive and the space itself tells a story. I was fascinated with a piece called Icarus which is impossible to miss due to its enormous size and strategic placement, mostly because of how the artist played with the spectator's experience in relation to the surrounding and the point of view. Why do I give it 4 and not 5 stars? Because at first the staff was great: attentive, responsive and polite. When the closing time came closer, they became almost rude and insistent, for me if a space says it closes at 17h, up until that time I can be there, they clearly understand that the client needs to go out 15-20 minutes in advance and they will be the ones to leave the infrastructure at that closing time. So, my suggestion: visit this museum, just avoid being on their last group of visitors!
