It's a nice Gallery with a great selection. The staff gave us a good introduction about each Artist and they were really friendly. Just this time I couldn't find anything for my collection, hope later 🤗

Amazing art, from sculptures to abstract acrylic paintings! I learned so much—Sebastian Rodriguez, the art advisor, was super knowledgeable, explained everything amazingly and was also genuinely passionate and helpful. Highly recommend!

My wife and I had the most amazing experience at Art of the World, in large part by one of the art advisors there, Mauricio Sampogna. This review is completely unsolicited - I rarely right reviews but I felt absolutely compelled. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon prior to going out to dinner. We were so lucky to be one of the only clients there at the time. It felt we had the entire gallery to ourselves. Mauricio warmly greeted us and we felt extremely comfortable from the outset. We are art newbies. We have been fortunate enough to have gone to art museums all over the world but we are not well versed in the arts to know what makes a piece unique. Mauricio carefully guided us throughout both floors of the gallery in such a thoughtful and non-judgmental way (in the sense that we do not know much about art). He actually cared to listen to what we liked and didn't like from various pieces and went out of his way to make us feel at home and educated on the various artists. What I enjoyed the most was the void of salesmanship here - there was never pressure to purchase a piece. I liked this. It made for a more free environment and it allowed me to feel like I was even more ready to purchase a piece for our home. MAURICIO IS PASSIONATE AND KNOWLEDGABLE AND IT SHOWS. When someone loves their job you can tell. He is a bank of information and presents that information in an easily digestible and approachable manner. There were various pieces, most notably for me "The Return" on the second level, that really moved me. Mauricio noticed it and gave us a book from the artist that had that painting. We decided given the amazing collection from the gallery and Mauricio's presentation of the various works, that we will be purchasing a piece from Art of the World Gallery in the future. It's a special place and I recommend Mauricio to be your first impression of the gallery.

My adult daughter and I both love art and visited the gallery while in Houston for the day. We were greeted at the door by Mauricio who explained the layout and artists represented at the gallery. It was my daughter's birthday which happened to be the same day as Mauricio's so they began talking a bit. Mauricio is very personable and took an interest in learning more about my daughter's artwork and directed her to some pieces of similar media. We spent a few hours in the gallery and conversed with the staff about the different art on display and learned a lot about the artists from them. This was the best art gallery I have been to yet. The building and display of the artwork is beautiful with a peaceful inviting atmosphere. We were informed about the next exhibit and are planning to come back for it. This is a first class gallery in every way. Thank you again for a great experience.

This gallery is wonderful. Paitings from Zhong Zhuang and Cristóbal Toral are absolutely worth seeing. Mr. Mauricio is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended stopping by!

Visiting the Art of the World Gallery was a sublime experience. My reason was to see the work of the Egyptian Armen Agop. A sculptural and pictorial expression that captivates with its minimalism and harmony, leading us to inner peace. Each sculpture, whether in black granite or bronze, stands out for the subtlety of its sinuous curves and the simplicity of its forms, inviting us to connect with the present. Observing from afar the paintings, majestic black dots and delicate painted features, we are invited to embark on a journey into the depths of being and to connect with the inner energy, known in Hinduism, in the Vedic texts as chakra, whose meaning in Sanskrit is circle or wheel. The imposing black circumference absorbs the gaze, overwhelms and focuses us on the small spot of color. As we get closer, we appreciate how the pigment decomposes, unraveling into millions of volatile, dancing, floating dots, like planets and constellations in the viewer's universe, reaffirming the miracle of life. To enter the Art of the World Gallery is to immerse oneself in a BOUTIQUE MUSEUM, where the museography, the selection of works and artists, the lighting and the curatorship take care of every detail. The reception is warm, a smile immediately establishes a connection of related interests. Whether a collector, potential buyer or simply an art enthusiast, the visitor is attended to with attention to his or her desire to learn about and enjoy the exhibition. I was fortunate to speak with Liliana Molina, Co-Founder of the Gallery, who generously came out of her office and with a kind smile shared her time and perspectives in an enriching conversation. This experience was a delight, and I thank the entire gallery team for making my visit a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this beautiful Boutique Museum in Houston, TX, for those who wish to immerse themselves in art and enjoy a welcoming space. Thank you for enriching my spirit.

Yelp
Loved this gallery. It's both very high-end (just to give an idea, they have a few Botero pieces) and very friendly and inviting. These two ideas are usually mutually exclusive (or at least you'd think they'd be). I doubt we gave off a "serious collector willing to drop a few thousand on a piece of art" vibe however we received a very warm welcome and lots of information on the gallery and the featured artists. I don't recall the name of the gentleman we spoke with but he was very friendly and engaging. I really enjoyed the art and felt it was really well-curated. A lot of different pieces in various styles. There are no prices listed so I think you'd have to inquire. I believe we were told that they start at a few thousand. Parking available outside. No photography allowed.

Yelp
I left inspired! The amount of art work they had in this small yet spacious building kept you occupied for at least an hour. I decided to come here not only for the art but to kill time while waiting on a friend to meet me for lunch. A few of my favorite artist from their selection was Chun Kwang Young, Sophia Vari, Bahk Seon Ghi, and Javier Marin. I will be back for a cute date :)

Yelp
Love that this art gallery is open to the public, They are always bringing beautiful art and new collections. It is required to wear a mask, when greeted your temperature will be taken and it is required to keep distance. Staff has mask and gloves as well. They are super friendly and will show you around. It's a beautiful place full of beautiful art.b

Yelp
This 2-story gallery offers a featured artist in the main foyer. The upstairs gallery offers additional artists to observe and appreciate. The staff is very information regarding the works of the artist and very eager to share any information regarding the artists. The gallery itself is very welcoming in a modern fashion. Expect to spend an hour browsing the latest works of various artists. A great activity for a weekend afternoon!

Yelp
Fire Hazard. Rude, Dishonest Staff. I purchase art frequently from major auction houses and independent galleries. In my opinion, Art of the World is the most unprofessional gallery I have encountered. We visited during normal business hours. Upon entry, a gallery employee asked us to put masks on. I started to put my mask on, but I noticed none of the other customers were wearing masks. So I didn't put my mask on. The gallery employee demanded I put a mask on. "None of your six other customers are wearing masks," I replied. The employee paused for several seconds and replied, "they were drinking water." None of the six unmasked customers were drinking water. There was no food or drink present. The employee's surly attitude and dishonest statement made me decide to leave immediately. (Never purchase art from a gallery you do not trust.) When we tried to leave, we were trapped behind the locked front door. The gallery had locked the front door behind us. The gallery employee had to turn a key to permit us to exit the building. This is a serious fire hazard. Why were we singled out to wear masks when all other customers were unmasked? Why did the gallery lock the front door behind us? All the unmasked customers and the gallery employee were white. One of us was African. Draw your own conclusion. Terribly disappointing to see this behavior in 2022, especially as the art world strives to become more inclusive.

Yelp
Exquisitely designed gallery. The Raphael Barrios show is outstanding. Lots of very nice pieces there - primarily Latin American. If art is a passion for you, there's a chance you'll find something there you can't live without

Yelp
This fantastic art gallery located in the heart of Houston has a wide array of modern and contemporary art. It's a great place to visit if you're looking for exceptional art pieces that will add value to your portfolio. Also, the staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Make sure to stop by!
