Amazing restaurant. The view is breathing, the room is spacious. The service is flawless. We had a 3 meal course, with creamy soup, chicken supreme and dessert. Every plate was beautifully presented and the taste was always surprising. The care with the textures, the seasoning, the portions was something that deserves a shout out. The staff, Bernard and Marike (I hope it's well written) were so kind to give us advice, explain about food, about Prague. It's definitely a place to come back to.

I had an exceptional dinner experience at this hidden gem by the water. The evening started with a divine goat cheese starter served on fragrant orange bread—an unexpected but absolutely delicious combination. The pork dish, paired with creamy potato purée, was cooked to perfection, and the fresh salad was equally delightful. For dessert, the cheesecake and apple pie were both standout finishes—rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. What truly elevated the night, though, was the impeccable service. Our waiter made us feel genuinely cared for, adding a personal touch that’s rare to find. And the view? Stunning. Overlooking the water, it added a serene and memorable backdrop to an already perfect meal. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for amazing food, top-tier service, and a beautiful atmosphere.

The restaurant exceeded our expectations! We booked a table for my mother’s birthday celebration and the evening went smoothly. The staff were very attentive, and the restaurant itself is gorgeous. The starters were really unique, and felt arty/conceptual, like the restaurant itself! Our guests attend great restaurants quite often, and yet they were pleasantly surprised by the quality of Art Restaraunt Mánes. The photos on the website don’t do the restaurant justice, which is why I’m attaching them to this review. Thank you for the great evening!

We want to say thank you to Art Restaurant Manés, and especially for the man in the picture, that unfortunately we don't remember his name, but we certainly remember how he made us feel ! It was an amazing night of New Year's Eve in Prague, our first time there. All the restaurants were fully booked, but they saved our night and reserved a table for us. Everything was brilliant, from the food to the wine. They also allowed us to bring our own bottle of champagne, which was really nice. The environment was so charming with a live piano musician who played a beautiful playlist of songs, making everything so special. In the end, despite of the weather (a bit rainy) and having the terrace closed during winter, the manager opened it so we could have an outstanding view of the fireworks just for us 🥰 it was an unforgettable night, reason why, despite 6 months have passed, we come here to express our gratitude to all of you that made it possible. Thank you once again. You made our experience in Prague a million times better. We can't wait to come back. Definitely recommend, and we will certainly be there every time we visit this beautiful city ♥️

Great meal with a fusion of local flavors and haute cuisine at VERY affordable prices. Great views of the river. The Maitre'd and waiter service were EXTRAORDINARY, worthy of a world class restaurant. Dík !

Wooow! The most incredible spot. Booked private breakfast here for over 33 people before my wedding. The staff is extremely professional and the place looks very luxurious. Everyone was impressed with the food, views and staff. I wouldn't mind having my wedding here as they go beyond your expectations (found out too late that they are doing weddings here)

While the beef tartare starter was to die for, the chocolate cake dessert looked suspiciously like bake-off. Service was sloppy (lots of empty glasses most of the meal, orders never filled and similar), and they thought it appropriate to serve salmon to guests who had requested vegetarian meals - vegetarian would mean "only vegetables, no animals", no? At the price level, such mistakes throughout the evening should not occur.

In the heart of Prague city centre, looking at the Vltava river, the Mánes gallery is a unique place that combines modern art, gourmet cuisine and history. The Art restaurant is an experience you deserve to have. We ordered the Hovēzí Svíčkova (braised beef sirloin in sour cream sauce with Karlsbad dumplings and cranberries) and was the best food we had in Prague. Everyone was very friendly and kind. Shame we couldn’t have a table closed to the window, they did not seem reserved but we could not have one.

This was by far the most attentive and professional waitress that I have had the experience to encounter. I sure do wish that I had her name to add to this review. We ordered Beef tartare with truffle mayonnaise, cornichones, capers, bread, garlic; and segedínský guláš (traditional goulash with sour cabbage and beef). The beef tartare was obscenely beautiful with delightful toppings. It was fresh and had the perfect flavor profile. I had never had goulash with the sour cabbage and it was delightful. I would like to try and duplicate that dish at home. That atmosphere was impeccable with a nice view of the river. It would be a nice place for a date night for sure. I am so glad that our friends met us here and recommended this restaurant. It did not disappoint with absolutely outstanding service. I hightly recommend this beautiful restaurant.

We had a very nice dinner in Prague here. The food and the service are excellent. The best part is we can go to the outdoor terrace to enjoy the view and drink when the entrees are ready. Can't ask for more. Great place to eat!

What I like the most about this restaurant is its terrace and the view. In the summer, sitting on the terrace next to the river with the view of the castle is just stunning. In terms of food and service, the place is average...so, don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. I would definitely appreciate more professional service and meals that are more creative. Ordering a degustation menu and getting twice the same side is something that should never happen in such a place. Also, the personnel should better know the wines they have on the wine list and should be able to present them well, especially if you order the best bottle the restaurant has to offer. But I am sure this will be taken care of and next time I come here my experience will be just perfect as it was the case when I was coming here last summer :)... if you are looking for a place with a special atmosphere and great views, this is it! It's still not that well-known among the locals and it's kind of a hidden gem that's definitely worth trying.

Still a wonderful place to enjoy coffee and a treat along the river. Although they don't offer their tri-color mousse cake anymore :( it is still a fantastic spot to eat delectable cakes and pastries while people watching or gazing up at the National Theater. Service is always friendly, and the space is small, yet comfortable. If you find yourself in the area, definitely stop in for some home-made goodness at reasonable prices, and check out the free gallery next door. When we were there they had an architecture exhibit with models and plans for buildings all around the Czech Republic.

A decent restaurant with a beautiful view from the terrace and balcony. The prices are a bit higher and we can discuss whether the price-quality ratio is "OK", but you should go here at least because of the lovely terrace. Nice place for a romantic summer evening.

BIG disappointment! Today we have been there for the 5th time just to give it one last chance since it's close and they have a lovely terrace (long waiting time for food before and unfriendly service). This was definitely wrong since today was terrible. First the waiter forgets all about us, then we have to wait for our food for over 90 minutes (without a word of apology), food was ok, not exceptional, and then when we paid, they gave us the "normal" prices for the lunch menu. When we wanted to correct it (homemade lemonade was only 35kc during lunch, we had to pay 65kc without reason) the waiter got really rude. In the end we paid 35kc but it was a huge discussion and later the manager ran after us to tell us that we should be better customers the next time. I mean excuse me?!?!? What is wrong with you to talk to your customers like this, especially when you are clearly the one who made the mistake?! This was beyond rude and we will definitely not come back. It's just really sad because the location is great. Hope they will change soon! This was definitely one of the worst experiences.

Food was excellent and service was spot on. Piano player was able to play music on demand. Would recommend to any tourist looking for a great place to eat and wanting a great view to boot.
