What’s good: The location was good, very close to main attractions. Room was clean and had all the necessary amenities (bathrobes, hair dryer, slippers etc.)|Hotel staff was friendly and polite. Water was available on the same floor through the dispenser.||What’s not good: We absolutely didn’t like a breakfast, it doesn’t reach even two stars level. Everything was cold and you have to use microwaves to heat it up, which gives you an indication that food is not fresh. Not much variety of food.||We also didn’t like that towels and bath amenities have been given once for 3 days and never been refilled.||Safe was broken and never been fixed even though we called a maintenance. ||Curtains were not completely blackout. It could be inconvenient during white nights period.||This hotel is definitely doesn’t worth the money we paid for three nights.

Arbat Nord hits the sweet spot of hotels. It is perfect for a nice, clean place to stay when you don't need excessive luxury (that hurts your wallet). It is affordable, but definitely a high step up from a typical "budget" hotel. Staff was excellent at check in, courteous and efficient (and spoke excellent English which for us was a bonus). The room itself was decent sized, with A/C and free wifi. The only small complaint we had was about the bathroom. When we first arrived definitely a lingering bad odor in the bathroom (sewer?). We turned on the fan and it dissipated after a while. Also, the shower had a tendency to change temperature and water pressure suddenly, but that seemed to be a common issue we experienced throughout our travels in Russia. Overall Arbat Nord is a great place to stay

Very much appreciated the very helpful reception staff who helped me with directions several times. Convenient location. Room very clean. Good breakfast. Walls of room very thin and a good deal of noise from next room and hallway could be heard. I had a first floor room facing street, with bright light from streetlight shining through the curtains. A good hotel in several respects as long as one is aware in advance of the limitations.

We flew from Kazan to St Petersburg and it was a Sundowner chosen hotel, so I must admit I didn’t know what to expect as generally any hotel in the city centre are poky and offer limited services. Surprise, surprise, we arrived at 10.30pm and the restaurant still open welcomed us and even though the meal took some time it was worth the wait. I often wonder whether Russians have a drink with their meal at all as it takes a long time to get one before dinner. Breakfast to me was not my cup,of tea, but it seems to be a general Russian breakfast, I had coffee and found muesli in the end. Reception and restaurant staff all spoke English and were very hospitable. We walked everywhere, cathedral of spilled blood, summer garden, and through the city centre and got a feel of how Russians live and work. Bathroom small but shower has excellent pressure and a full bath.

downtown, 10 mn from metro, in a very lively district for bars, restaurants and cultural events. Yet outside the main touristy areas, but in walkable distance of all. Ideally situated in case of coming/departure to/from Helsinki (one stop metro from Finland railway station). It's not a chain but an independent hotel in a very well renovated house. All needed amenities without frills. Good onsite restaurant with excellent breakfast buffet. For the level of comfort and the location, in this category, reasonable price.

We flew to St.Petersburg from Moscow and travelled to this hotel by prepaid taxi. Located on Artilleriyskaya ul, the Hotel reflect good professionalism and warm hospitality. Mr.Nikita at reception was very polite and guided us on what important places to see in and around St.Petersburg. As it's just few minutes walk from Liteynyy prospekt dotted with shopping malls, restaurants, fancy shops, it's quite convenient. There is an excellent restaurant at the basement chambers of Hotel offering good variety of European and Russian cuisine. The breakfast spread is reasonably good and there is free WiFi. However the nearest metro station Chernyshevskaya is about twenty minutes walk. Another important avenue Nevskiy prosp is about ten minutes walk.|

I was in the city for business deal for 2 days and was surprised by the quiet, nice hotel of Nord Arbat. Very friendly and helpful staff, room is quiet and the food was excellent! ||I would recommend this hotel to my friends and colleagues. Travelled a lot thru Russia and have a lot of experience, but this time the surprise was very positive! Good luck and strong vote for the team working there!

Stayed for 2 nights in a 'Standard Double' room. ||||The hotel is about 10 minute walk to the Summer Gardens, with the Hermitage being a further 20 minute walk beyond the gardens, with the nearest underground being approx 10 minutes in the opposite direction (Chernyshevskaya) .||||The hotel is fairly small, and my room was quite dated, but with a comfortable bed and clean.||||Breakfast was very good for the size of the hotel.||||I did consider getting the bus and metro to the hotel from the airport, but with the metro not going all the way the the airport and the potential for not being able to find the hotel, I opted for a taxi which took around 30 minutes (sunday morning, with no traffic), which was around 1,100 Rubles from the airport and 800 back to the airport (so good value at £10-£14 each way) .||||Would stay here again.
