I began coming to this salon in July of last year to purchase Davines products after moving from Florida. In September, I decided to have my hair done and specifically requested Ranelle, but was told she was unavailable, so I went with Nicole. She is very sweet, but I felt she was not the best fit for my hair type.
For my next appointment, I again requested Ranelle, this time booking over a month in advance. Right before the appointment, I received an email saying Ranelle would not be available and that I would be placed with the same stylist. I was frustrated and expressed my concerns via email and in a Google review because I had been very clear and intentional about requesting the stylist who understood my hair needs.
After posting the review, Ranelle reached out. When I spoke with her, instead of an apology for the scheduling mistake, I was met with attitude and was told I had been booked into a time slot that wouldn’t allow her enough time, as if I were supposed to know how her schedule works. The error was not mine, yet I was made to feel responsible for it.
I explained that Nicole was kind and that I did not want to make her feel bad, which is why I kept requesting Ranelle. Ranelle assured me she would make space to take care of me, but I never received a call back. I waited with grown-out roots and previously bleached hair. I texted her again kindly in December and still received no response.
I have spent hundreds of dollars here regularly just on products alone. The level of disregard and lack of follow-through from both the salon and the owner has been extremely disappointing. Being blamed for a scheduling error, promised a solution, and then ignored is not customer service.
My advice: don’t voice dissatisfaction here unless you’re prepared to be contacted only to remove a negative review and then forgotten.
I spoke with Ranelle on October 16 and was assured she’d make changes to accommodate me. Trusting her word I waited past Thanksgiving and Christmas yet no reply or follow up. Since it was the holidays I was unable to get an appointment in any reputable salon until this past week. I spent the holidays with grown out roots being blonde. When I prepared and booked since late September. I would never return to this salon nor do I recommend them to anyone! Since September I booked with Ranelle for November and was not notified until mid October she would not be available due to their error. Then dismissed and disregarded for voicing my dissatisfaction. There’s no excuse! Not a call back, follow up or text since she scolded me and I removed the initial review there was no longer urgency to fix their error.
