This place has absolutely no ambiance, its a storefront, but the food is excellent, spiced just right. We had chicken with the Yemeni national dish, Saltah, also soup and lamb stew with bread and rice. The rice was so good, citrusy flavored, that you could eat it just by itself. Dessert and tea was also good although they didn't have any of the selections on the menu and gave us something else, a creamy pudding. Service, however, was horrible. They put out food and bottled drinks with no plates, cups or silverware. We had to ask for those things. Apparently Yemenis eat everything with hands and bread out of the communal dishes? We had to flag down the server when we needed him, he did not come to the table otherwise. At dessert time, no one removed the dirty plates that were already there. For these reasons I could not give four or five stars even though the food was so good. If it doesn't bother you to have subpar service, the food is really delicious. My friend said he didn't care and would go back. There are no stairs and the bathroom is on the main floor. Also, there were no women eating here except for me, and I was with two men. If I had been alone or with a female friend, I would have felt uncomfortable honestly. Maybe I would just order delivery.
