Great location, comfortable setting, impeccable cleanliness and hospitable staff. ||We loved staying at this hotel. It is so peaceful and has such a convenient location. We relaxed the moment we arrived.||Arthotel has such a convenient and safe location, just a few steps from a beautiful shopping and dining district and adjacent to a university. Everything is an easy walk away. Every morning we loved walking to a nearby bakery and restaurant. ||Our room and bathroom were spacious and neat as a pin. It truly felt like a retreat from the bustle. All of the furnishings and mechanicals were new.||And we can’t say enough about the staff. Kira showed us to our rooms and was knowledgeable and so very welcoming. Elli helped us find a great restaurant and was always ready to answer our questions. Every staff member was on their A game.||This hotel will be at the top of our list if and when we return to Heidelberg.

this is a fabulous location for this city. The hotel is really modern and unique. Everything you need is updated in a historical looking building. We have the XXL which is one of their larger rooms, which I highly recommend the bed was very comfortable. All my needs were met if I needed something I called and they brought it up to me. We never got to use the rooftop because the weather wasn’t that kind of weather to sit out and enjoy it, but it looks very comfortable. they have a restaurant for dinner, but unfortunately they’re closed for the month of August I have a nice area off of the reception area, where you can sit outside a small area and a bar if you need a drink which we did not participate in Breakfast was ok All the basics were there and they will make you eggs if you ask We had a good view from one our window there are steps to walk up if you’re taking one of the rooms that are the XXL room an elevator to the second floor and then steep steps up to your room which ours was on the third floor There was a young lady the first night we arrived, who was lovely when I asked for some suggestions for some restaurant she gave me too, and actually, I went to both of them and enjoyed them very much. This is the location of choice for the city. For the location alone.

Comfortable and homely hotel on a great location. Friendly staff that let you do your thing. Clean and comfortable rooms and parking directly under the hotel. Very large roof terrace that you can use.||Our 3-day visit was the second time in this hotel. A third visit is in the plan for sure.

This is a modern hotel and well located. We booked an xxl size and it was a good size with separate desk area. It’s quite a functional and modern space; I didn’t find it particularly charming. Staff helpful.

My wife and I really enjoyed the 1 night stay at the ArtHotel Heidelberg. it was a very spacious room, centrally located in the Altstadt. Very close to the Marktplatz area and the castle funicular. The staff person that checked us in was very diligent, despite us being so late to check in. She walked to room with us, showing us the amenities - we really appreciated having her show us how the AC worked since it was warm in the room when we checked in. ||Directions to close sites and restaurants was also spot on. Was able to enjoy a nice meal and stroll about town before dark. ||Breakfast was provided the next day for an extra charge, which was worth the money.||The best feature perhaps was the securing of luggage after check out, while we were able to enjoy the castle and the sites before having to leave for our next city. ||Very comfortable room, with great hospitality being offered. We will definitely seek reservations at this hotel when back in Heidelberg!

We had the opportunity to stay here in November-December of 2024. It was ideally located, being on the southern side of the Alstadt, yet only a few short blocks off the very busy Hauptstrasse. To reach the hotel, we caught the bus from the Hauptbanhof, and it dropped us off about two blocks from the building. The hotel’s main entrance was through a little courtyard off Grabengasse. When we left, we took an Uber back to the train station. The ride took less than 10 minutes.||We were fortunate to stay in the “loft” room. There was a small elevator up from the ground floor, but we usually took the stairs up and down. The room was very large and spacious, with multiple seating areas and lots of lighting fixtures. A row of large windows looked out over the street, and there was even a little turret overlooking the corner. There was a large closet with plenty of space. The bathroom was large and modern, with a long counter, a separate tub, and a walk in shower. The wifi signal was strong. There were large curtains, which we closed at night to block out most of the street light. There was some slight street noise at night, but it wasn’t too intrusive. The area became busy in the morning with traffic noise and students from the university across the street.||Our room rate included breakfast every morning which was served in the restaurant. Offerings were typical for a European continental breakfast, with cereals, slices of meat, cheeses, and other items and drinks. Hot dishes such as eggs were available upon request. Service was quick and attentive. Likewise, all staff we interacted with were professional and courteous.||As many have stated, the hotel is perfectly situated within walking distance to attractions in the Altstadt and nearby. We found the area to be safe and clean and had no issues walking about at night, but, of course, one must always be aware of their surroundings. ||Overall, we had a great stay here. The hotel was clean and modern, and the small details of the room and building made staying here a real pleasure. Highly recommended.

We are so glad we choose this hotel it was excellent. All the staff are professional and really friendly from the lady receptionist to the guy cleaning rooms to the guy we met at breakfast who seemed to be the manager. Nothing was too much trouble for them.|The room was immaculate with comfortable beds. We were unsure about booking the breakfast but were so glad we did. There was a great range of food and the omelettes cooked to order were delicious. The parking and central location were great. We couldn’t fault it. It isn’t cheap but we felt it was worth it.

A real oasis amid pleasantly-busy travels! The staff (with a particular nod to Jeremy!) make for a warm welcome and the feeling of everything you need being on-hand. Extremely comfortable rooms and phenomenal location to everything you may want to see in Heidelberg. Great view too & nice bathtub - although, some variable water temps depending on demand/timing.

Yelp
We enjoyed 2 nights here. It is centrally located to Old Town and right next to part of Heidelberg University. The room is modern and comfortable - the bed is on the firm side but not too firm. The bathroom is awesome and has an incredible shower head. The only negative is no refrigerator in the room. The staff are very nice and accommodated any request. Much gratitude to Felix and Philip for making our stay so wonderful!

Yelp
Stayed here for the first time last month and it was just perfect. The place itself is just a beautiful hotel and the rooms are a nice size and great size bathrooms. It has a great courtyard to sit and eat/drink. The staff is so nice and helpful. It is just a two minute walk to the Uni Platz or the Main Street and a five minute walk to the berg bahn. Will stay here again on our next visit to Heidelberg.

Yelp
We stayed here for the second time just last month. Our first visit was for four days, this recent visit was nine. I really love this hotel. There are several things that bothered me about it but I would still go back. The first problem was the hair dryer. It was so weak that it wasted a lot of my time. Also, my hair was horrible. Drying my hair with the hair dryer in the room produced almost the same result as letting my hair air dry. Also, the shampoo was very drying. They also supplied no conditioner. One morning we went to have breakfast downstairs in the Romer restaurant and the food was exposed to the air and there were little flies feasting on the food. Gross. I ate somewhere else. But I'm not sure if that reflects on the hotel or not. Another thing that was a real problem was that instead of full sized bed, they had two twin beds pushed together. I don't think I need to detail the issues with that. So, if I've had all these problems and still would stay there again, then you know it has to be a great little hotel. The location is perfect. Just close enough to walk easily to all the best shopping and dining. The staff is friendly. The rooms are gorgeous and very clean. Just remember to bring your own hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner. And ask for a room with a real bed!
