Google
Quirky bar with lovely selection of tasty dishes, which could be snacks or full meals. We visited twice and had pork belly with black pudding, a version of patatas bravas and a meat/cheese board. Drinks took a while to come at one point, but otherwise service was great - including alerting us to a better table becoming available.

Food was amazing, staff very friendly and helpful. Love the cocktail bar upstairs.

I can't speak on the food. HIT THIS PLACE LATE NIGHT! Amazing atmosphere. Couple of lovely ladies tending the bar. Did catch Stephanie's name. Told them I was traveling and they both helped me through trying local drinks. It shares an alley with a bar and they've converted it into a social hub. Go to the back door. Absolutely wild. Love it

Our family’s favorite spot for celebrating special occasions. Very authentic, with great food and a good wine selection. Nice atmosphere, too!

Looking for places we can have a drink and take our dog. Very dog friendly, we sat in court yard and staff brought a water bowl with no prompting.

Where do I even start! I went here last weekend to celebrate my birthday and I have not stopped talking about it since. Our server was so accommodating, we were never without something we needed. She checked on us loads and was so chill and lovely. The food was top tier, I’ve tried tapas nearly everywhere in Cork and this ranks 1. It was amazing we couldn’t even speak while we were eating it was so good! So so so affordable for what we got! Brilliant vibes all night highly highly recommend, and definitely going back <3

Very very good drinks selection and pretty good tapas menu, friendly bartenders and servers, beyond cool interior and atmosphere, also food served well after midnight,

- The Cajun Prawns are very good but maybe a little bit too salty, I still recommend it very much, they were a good surprise ! - Rustic Potatoes are the safe choice, good quantity and just fine in term of taste ! - Coxinha (chicken croquettes) are not good at all, I don't recommend, you doesn't taste any chicken. - Pork belly is okay but nothing impressive about it.

Yelp
What a cool place! First of all, it's absolutely huge. There's multiple rooms and bars all with slightly different vibes. There's a front bar where you can grab food, there's a back bar with a smoking area that sometimes has a DJ, and an upstairs that feels more like a proper cocktail bar - and probably more areas I've yet to explore. The food smelled delicious and I would've totally tried it had I not eaten before. I explored around a bit and ultimately hung out upstairs at the bar. The bartender that night was so friendly! We talked about everything from art to travel to politics. She was the best and made a mean cocktail. Not to mention, the entire place is decorated fantastically. It used to be an old pharmacy and ties in a lot of that history into the decor, including a bar made of old pharmacy ledgers. You could spend so much time just looking around at all the details and exploring each room. I hear it gets pretty lively here on weekends, especially with the college kids, but this particular Monday night was fairly quiet. I would definitely return if I'm ever in Cork again!

Yelp
I think Arthur Mayne GastroPub is one of the coolest pubs I have ever been in. The space is filled with nooks & crannies, otherwise known as Snug's. I loved it here, the staff were friendly and helpful, they had a massive selection of every kind of alcohol you could possibly want. They also serve food, which we did not have, but the other customers had in front of them looked delicious It's very seafood oriented. If you are in Cork City do not miss this gem.

Yelp
The upstairs cocktail bar is super cool. Sarah, who was my bartender, was amazing. She listened to what I wanted and made me a fantastic cocktail. She also gave me a lot of recommendations about my upcoming visit to Kilkenny, from where she hails. I wanted to love the downstairs restaurant. Unfortunately, I didn't. The menu is amazing. I waited 10 minutes until someone acknowledged my presence, while I was standing at the bar. And it was not even that busy. There were empty seats all over. Ordered two items, one of which being chicken. The chicken was either not cooked, or really fatty. I told my server, who was average at best, and she apologized, but it was still on my bill, even though I didn't eat much of it. That's not a good sign. I'm really not sure how to advise. Definitely hit the upstairs bar for cocktails. Beware of the food you order downstairs, and don't expect great service.

Yelp
The restaurant is probably known by a different name too: Crane Lane Theater, as our bill was under that. Anyway, it was a good experience here. They did not have many Irish dishes, but mostly a tapas menu. The interior is interesting with dark lighting. It was a pretty busy place. The service was pretty prompt. It seems you could order from any server. The menu was a tapas type. We ordered a Rustic Potatoes, Spanish Croquettes, Skewers and a slider. The slider was the best dish with juicy and tender meat. Rustic potatoes were good too with a sauce that gelled well with the roasted potatoes. For desserts, we had a brownie that was delicious. They make good drinks and it was a good experience here.

Yelp
This is a cool and quirky venue with great staff, good food, and a Brooklyn-style cocktail bar upstairs. I enthusiastically endorse the place.

Yelp
Arthur Maine's is a really nice central spot. Warning! The decoration is not for the faint at heart - the setting resembles prison chambers with bars and narrow spaces, but it's all very well done, the staff is very friendly and the food is great. Although the place might be a bit dark for brunch, I encourage you to try it. Their thick slice toasts come with a range of sides from light and healthy avocado, to spicy mexican chorizo and spinach to adventurous crayfish. I tried the Mexican theme El Chapo - I was very happy with my choice, it tasted amazing and the size was very generous. I remember from another time a dessert that needs to be repeated, it was called something like "chocolate Mud Pot"? It was a layered thick chocolate/biscuit/whipped cream jar. This was months ago and I still remember it so it must have been something!

Yelp
This is one of the many new spots that has popped up in Cork recently. Inspired by old pharmacies, it's one of the few themed bars in the city. Actually I can't really think of any others at all. Anyway, it was my 3rd stop on a late-night pub crawl so forgive me if details are a little sketchy. We had a bottle of wine and a cheeseboard and although it was very crowded, there was a great atmosphere and there were old medicine bottles stored in cabinets around the pub, which is attached to the Crane Lane. I'd definitely go back.

Yelp
Great food for reasonable price (pulled pork burger and salmon risotto). Open until 1h30 am perfect for the ones who eat very late :)

Yelp
Had lunch with a couple of friends here today. The interior is very charming and unique, the menu is limited to a few daily specials, boards and sandwiches and the staff was good. Had a meat plate, €10 for half a baguette, 3-4 slices each of parma ham and spiced salami, loads of chorizo and 2 big slices of spiced beef. Came with a little bowl of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Had a decent, but quite pricey glass of wine with it. Food was really tasty and plentiful, staff was very helpful and charming. I think I wanted to like this place (for it's originality) more than I perhaps ended up doing.

Yelp
We found this on the Cork Heritage Pubs list and it looked promising; we popped in for lunch before we skipped town. My husband had the Reuben, and I had a marvelous homemade vegetable soup and half a Coronation chicken sandwich. The food was excellent and the service even better. The woman in charge made sure that everything was spot-on for us. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Lovely atmosphere, fantastic deco, lovely staff, okay choice of wines and okay food. The atmosphere makes it. I once had a spinach and mushroom tart that was very watery and dull.

Yelp
Spacious pub with a deceiving storefront. Don't let the exterior discourage you from going in. There are several rooms in this lively place. There is a nice semi-outdoor space in the back. However it is taken over by smokers. This place should ban smoking there and if they did, the place would have an exceptional space. The smoking there is a real turn off.

Varia M.

Yelp
As expected, the wine selection here is great and the tapas plates are delicious. It gets packed full but if you don't want to wait for a table you can go to the pub across the lane and they will deliver your food for you there. We sat in both pubs and I have to say the atmosphere inside Arthur Mayne makes it worth waiting for a table.

Yelp
Interesting wine bar and small plate food. The food was excellent. The staff was friendly. The theme was very interesting. It's an old pharmacy converted into a restaurant, with much of the old store decor left in place.

Yelp
Great sandwiches, massive selections of wine, and a great outdoor area in the promenade between it and Crane Lane Theater.

Yelp
Modest but reasonably good selection of wines by the glass. Good atmosphere at this time of day (early evening). Staff not particularly engaging and there's also a curious hint of cooking oil. Great decor retaining its previous life as a pharmacy. Not the best in town.

Yelp
A worthy edition to the Cork Heritage Pub trail. Although strictly a Wine Bar they do serve bottled beer if wine is not your thing. They have a good selection of wines and the prescription card for the vending machine at the back is great for when its busy. The staff are friendly, knowledgable and willing to make a recommendation if you need it. Need to get here early though if you want a seat as it does get busy later on.

Yelp
First time in Maynes last night. It's a beautiful bar with some lovely touches in terms of decoration. The wine is pricey. Being a wine bar one might forgive this. The food however is another story altogether. Firstly the "chef" who prepares the food behind the bar and in the public's view was eating from the food using his fingers which was really offputting. Secondly we ordered a combination board, a mixture of meats & cheeses served with bread. This was priced @ 10 Euro. The portion was incredibly small. 2 small pieces of cheese, some quince jam, 2 thinly sliced pieces of salami and a few chunks of chorizo. I don't know the last time I've come across such bad value in the city. Would not eat there again & would not recommend. As the previous poster said, it is just the crane lane!

Yelp
This place is just outstanding! Love it. Food, wine dispensers, ambience, can't fault the place apart from when it gets TOO PACKED which is inevitable really because of it's popularity and reputation. I love the display cabinet in the ladies of all the auld toiletries back from me granny's day. Makes for great reminiscing after a few too many glasses of wine... Before stumbling merrily out the back door into the Crane Lane smoking area... ;)
