This is a great gallery to visit in the New Orleans Art district. The staff are friendly and very low key. You can stroll around the gallery and take your time. There are usually several artists presented so you have some variety to view. If you like to go to galleries you will like this one.

Google
An excellent gallery showcasing some of the most unique art from super talented artists. The gallery is large enough to display the artists work properly, but not so huge that you can't take it all in. I especially loved Leslie Dill's work and could have played with Lin Emery's moving sculptures for hours. Arthur Roger Gallery is a beautiful representation of the New Orleans Arts District.

The gallery has a really nice layout. The large windows allow the art to be seen in natural light which was great. The interior spaces were well thought out and draw you in for closer looks. Well curated collections.

Amazing gallery. Almost felt like a contemporary art museum. The quality of the art work is top notch. Hope I'll have enough funds in the future to afford a piece from this gallery.

Google
Amazing exhibit for several incredibly talented artists! Mario Moore... his images brought tears to my eyes. I'm in awe of such talent! Demond Melancon was also showing there and present though I didn't get to meet him, his work was breathtakingly beautiful and painstaking in detail. Joyful to see. Wayne Gonzales seems to capture some type of visceral memory with his work. Plan to spend some time digesting all the pieces you'll see. Also had a personal showing of pieces by the phenomenal Jackie Bishop and Douglas Bourgeois! Some day I might even own a few of their works!

A very nice high end gallery like the ones you'll find in Chelsea (NYC) that exhibits a lot of top notch artists. As in any high end gallery you will find a few artists that only make corporate decor, but several here are not afraid to make work that inspires, challenges and makes you think. What's best is that there's several spaces with up to 3 or 4 artists exhibiting at a time. Arthur Rodger is a cornerstone of the warehouse arts district in NOLA.

Yelp
Clean, spacious, remarkably staffed. Very happy I was invited here today. My friend met the gents who own and oversee the place so then we had a dynamic guided tour. Lovely purposeful place with a heart for artists who want to see and create understanding and art that tells powerful testimonies.

Yelp
After all the eating and drinking I did in one day, I was glad my friend who I met up with for the NOWFE suggest we walk it off by hitting the art galleries on Julia St. At this gallery, they were showcasing Chihuly's exhibit. His glass art are so beautifully made.

Yelp
We went to see the Chihuly exhibit, and this was more like a mini-museum then what I would think of an art gallery. It was free to go in, although due to the delicate nature of the exhibits asked to hold backpacks at the front desk. The art was beautifully displayed, and had benches and chairs placed around so one could stop and admire. There was even a video showing his process for creating the glass, which just made me appreciate the complexity of what he was doing even more. There were other works on display, and yes, you can walk past the sales people's desk to see the works in the back.

Yelp
Fantastic contemporary art gallery. So much to look at. I assume their shows change periodically so you may have to just take a chance and see if you like what they are showing. No matter what, though, I bet it will be thought-provoking and worth seeing.

Yelp
We recently popped by for the Chihuly exhibit. The staff was super friendly. We enjoyed looking at the other works of art on display. If you're ever in New Orleans be sure to pop in the gallery you won't be disappointed. We throughly enjoyed admiring the Chihuly exhibit.

Yelp
Bunny Matthews is showing his Nint' Wardica and retrospective here right now. His New Orleans cartoon art is a local comedy/tragedy treasure. Arthur Roger Gallery consistently hosts some of the best local artists in a wonderful space.
