10 Top International Bars

"A vibrant, futuristic bar tucked behind a high-end food court, defined by sculptural design and glowing, setting-sun orbs that give the space a dystopian sci‑fi/underground-cistern vibe. Dimly lit and theatrical, the menu emphasizes brown spirits with luxe offerings like a whiskey-based Bread and Butter Milk Punch and an indulgent Caviar Martini." - Kara Newman

Hidden Hong Kong Bars to Uncover

"Accessed via a discreet button and sliding door at the back of a food hall, this cocktail den presents a refined, otherworldly experience: mystical iridescent circles, an orange‑illuminated central bar, and intimate, spaceship‑like booths create a 'psy‑fi' atmosphere that intentionally blurs time and place. Created by industry figures who emphasize hospitality, it serves impeccably executed, theatrical cocktails (the Bread and Butter is recommended) and functions as a gathering spot designed to entertain guests and build connections rather than merely dispense drinks." - Ashley Day

After weeks in Asia, I am just about to leave and being at the airport I am remembering the best moments of my trip. Artifact was for sure one of them. I had a beautiful moment, came in the bar during the day, and left when it was night, like a moment suspended it time. This bar is close to perfection, the drinks, the environnement, the vibe, but most of all the people. I want to thank you especially Jay and Mison, who made the big overwhelming city of Hong Kong feels like home for few hours… sending you love and hoping to be back one day, Charlotte

Found this place via Timeout. Service staff were not well coordinated, with multiple staff offering to give us an introduction of the menu consecutively. Staff could be more welcoming and friendlier, personally felt rushed to finished my drinks seeing 2-3 of them consistently walking beside our table and looking to clear glasses (there were only 2-3 other groups). Drinks were interesting and creative yes, but execution with garnishes and ingredients could be better well done. Etc. my drink came with a chocolate bar but it was a rather large piece to eat in one go, with nowhere to place it on if I wanted to snack on it throughout. Enjoying my drink then didn’t feel as intuitive as one would expect. Drink prices aren’t cheap either at close to 170 HKD, excl taxes.

Best bar in Hong Kong. Impeccable service paired with tasty drinks. Mison and J are lovely and make a great experience even better. Highly recommend; a definite bucket list item for visitors and Hkers alike.

Definitely has some of the most creative cocktails I’ve seen. Wanted to try everything on the menu if I could. Everything was delicious. Service was great and everyone was super friendly. So good I had 4 drinks in one sitting

Artifact was a bit tricky to find, but once the two of us found our way in it was well worth it. We walked in on a weeknight and were seated right away. The bread and butter milk punch was particularly yummy, and I loved the sleek, futuristic vibe that came with great lighting too. A very cute date spot -- hope to be back soon and also try the food next time!

A very nice bar hidden in the basement of the BaseHall food court. I like the vibe where it’s not overly noisy and you can comfortably chat. The menu is really cute, i like the design and it makes you want to try everything on there. All the staffs are very attentive and give very good recommendation. I’m very happy with all the drinks. The flavour matches the description on the menu and i like the complexity and the creativity. My favorite will be New York Sour, it’s a well crafted interpretation of a peanut butter and jam sandwich! Delicious! It’ll be perfect if there’s some sort of complementary snacks to go with the drinks, even nuts will be nice as the price point is not cheap. Before we have to give back the table, a young bartender offers us a free shot. A lovely wrap up to the night. I’ll come back again because i really want to try other drinks.

Fantastic bar, tucked away in the Base food hall. Atmosphere/Decor is unique and well done. Bartenders are a pleasure to interact with, attentive (rare in HK!) and I will definitely be coming back. Try the fries!

Valentines 2024 Tasting Menu: Service was incredible and staff were super nice and friendly. Not really suitable location and atmosphere for a tasting menu but given the rent prices in Hong Kong it is understandable. Food was delicious! Very creative in presentation especially and very visually appetising. I enjoyed the meal very much. My partner said she was not full after the meal but it was a perfect amount for me (75kg male). Would definitely return to eat future menus created by Chef Sato Hiyoshi 💯
