From what I know, this is the first beach in Male' that's open to everyone, regardless of gender, for swimming, relaxing, and all that. It's a pretty small area with a shore and sea, and there's a boundary at the edge of the seabed. It's been decades, and it's still pretty much the same. This beach is super important and is used all the time, especially by kids on their holidays. It's been around for a while, but the Maldivian government really needs to step up with the upgrades and maintenance. I think these spots should definitely be updated and kept up. With all the new facilities and the growing population in Male' City, the beaches should really be adjusted somehow. There are a few benches that have lasted, but we need more of those and other facilities. The shower area broke and disappeared ages ago. Plus, the access for older people and wheelchairs isn't maintained; it's all covered in sand. The huts are damaged, and the chairs are gone or broken. There's so much more to say, but honestly, it looks like the same beach from 15 years ago. It's unbelievable and really disappointing.
