Artisan Coffee - Grand Baie Coeur de Ville

We visited Artisan at Super U Grand Baie today, hoping to enjoy a coffee. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Only two tables did not have dirty cups and empty containers left on them. The floors were noticeably dirty, and the dustbin was overflowing. It felt like there was a clear lack of effort in maintaining cleanliness. Where is the manager, and who is checking on the staff? This really needs attention.

Coffee is good and service friendly at the counter. It's a busy spot and customers mostly leave their cups and rubbish on the tables rather than use the bin, which combined with the infrequent clearing and cleaning of tables can make it an unappealing place to drink your coffee.

The ice cream itself? Absolutely fantastic — 10/10. But everything else about the experience was just awful. The staff were unfriendly, slow, and clearly not in the mood to be there. Not even a smile — just ‘ice’ cold, irritated energy from the moment we walked in. On top of that, the scoops were tiny — unbelievably small for the price. And when our son’s ice cream started melting all over his hand, we politely asked for a small cup to help — but were told “no.” No flexibility, no willingness to help. Just a flat-out refusal. It’s really unfortunate, because the product is great — but the attitude and service are some of the worst we’ve experienced. A huge disappointment.

Worst Artisan I have ever been to. I waited 20 mins to receive my Milkshake and it wasn’t even good; the consistency was very thick.

Every time I visit Grambé Super U, I make sure to stop by The Artisan Café — it’s my favorite spot! Their hot chocolate, cold chocolate, and chocolate milkshake are absolutely amazing. The donuts and croissants are always fresh and delicious. The café has a warm vibe, and the team makes the experience even better. Truly a place that feels special — thank you for the wonderful moments, every single time! 💖

The most popular coffee ☕️ shop in Mauritius 🇲🇺. Lots of variety in terms of coffees, lattes and Frappuccinos. Not halal certified in terms of the food/pastries but the Frappuccino and coffees were really good.

Unfortunately, the staff was quite unfriendly and unprofessional. The coffee was very bad, and to make matters worse, the young boy working there completely messed up my order and even tried to charge me twice.
