I recently had the pleasure of visiting Artist & Craftsman Supply located at 1002 Barret Ave, Louisville, KY, and I couldn't be more impressed with the experience! The store is a treasure trove for any art enthusiast, offering a wide variety of high-quality supplies. I went in to buy a pair of scissors for my nephew and was thrilled with the selection available. The staff was incredibly helpful, guiding me to exactly what I needed and offering recommendations based on my requirements. The scissors I bought were perfect – sturdy, sharp, and just the right size for a young artist. My nephew absolutely loved them and immediately put them to use on his prized bonsai tree. His excitement and joy made the purchase even more worthwhile. Beyond the excellent product range, the atmosphere in the store is inviting and inspiring. It's clear that the people who work here are passionate about art and genuinely care about their customers. Whether you're a professional artist or just getting started, you'll find everything you need and more. I highly recommend Artist & Craftsman Supply in Louisville for all your art supply needs. We were in from Indiana for a concert on Sunday 1/21/24 and stumbled upon this place...I was in AWE. Such a beautiful art supply place, literally the best I've ever seen. Every supply imaginable; painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, fiber, etc...it was heavenly. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful...total gems. We will be back in April for a art festival and I will 300% be back to buy more! Thank you so much❤️

This is a gem, that in hindsight, I feel a fool for not going in long ago! ANYTHING you could need, or not even know you need is here. I feel like a kid in a candyshop, with staff that is well versed in so many areas to help guide you. It's not a HobbyLobby like store,so when I needed to take my child in, was a tad nervous. The staff ended up showing a new tools to create with he loves. So that was an unnecessary worry. Prices are great while supporting local.++

I love this cute little shop! Definitely geared towards painting artists. I was looking for jewelry making supplies and found a few things I needed. Highly recommend to buy from this small business rather than big box stores.

Wow! This place has everything! Helpful, friendly staff, and just such an amazing variety of items for drawing and painting and also unusual pieces for making tiny landscapes, bracelets, origami. ❤️‍🔥

What a relief there is a great art supply store in Central Kentucky. This is the only place that I can find anything I need. Sometimes you just need to squeeze paint tubes and feel canvases and brushes and see things in person.

OMG awesome! They have everything and are owned by the artist employees who are super knowledgeable and helpful. This place rivals a chain like Blick in it's stock while supporting local flair and community. They have a parking lot. Make sure to go down to the basement too.

OMG!!!!!! I never knew they were there! It's better than all the best art parts of Michael's and Hobby Lobby, without all the silly floral arrangement, toys, furniture and knickknacks. Just lots of excellent quality paints art supplies. They were doing a tie dye class when we were there, with the good Procion MX dyes.
