Artists & Fleas Market Chelsea

We had a lovely afternoon browsing through Chelsea market and across the road a Pier 57. It has eclectic mix of places to eat and stalls selling some unique pieces.

Quite an impressive local artist market in the middle of Chelsea. Love coming here to see an abundance of creativity amend the mass marketing of the rest of the city.

This market has a variety of paintings, clothes, jewelry, accessories and more to choose from! Everyone is a small business owned vender so the pricing does vary. I am big on supporting small business so I understand the system. If you're looking for cheap prices, I don't recommend coming. When I went, it was pretty busy but was still able to move around. I was able to find the painting and a cute watch ring. I would come again!

Loved going to Artists & Fleas Chelsea! We stumbled upon Artists & Fleas while visiting Chelsea Market last weekend, and I am so glad we did! There is such a wide variety of talented artists and makers that set up here. It is a perfect way to shop locally and support small businesses. We went on a Saturday afternoon, and there was definitely a crowd. However, it was still very easy to shop around and very enjoyable. The dj playing music also added to the experience! I definitely recommend checking out Artists & Fleas Chelsea, and I can’t wait to visit here again!

This part of the Chelsea market was smaller than I expected but had very nice stalls! Definitely worth a quick stop to get some unique souvenirs

Hands down one of my favorite places. The best part? The variety of artists and makers was awesome. I immediately bought beautiful jewelry within just 5 minutes of entering the building. I loved that every single booth was high quality and priced so reasonably. I got 14k plated and stamped sterling silver jewelry pieces for great prices. The worst part? That I didn’t get to spend more time here!

What a fabulous place to visit. We did the full tour to the 102nd floor viewing area, it's not for the faint hearted but well worth the view.

Artists and Fleas is located in the Chelsea Market. This is an artist's conglomeration of artwork. Unique eye glass frames, one other kind, T-shirts, jewelry, clothing, wallets and more. The vendors are present with their wares. Street in lot parking with Wi-Fi in Chelsea Market.

First time visiting & we loved this place, it's a big room with many little vendors & artists selling their work. It's in the back of Chelsea market. I ended up buying handmade earrings from SEYAHAN and handmade designed clothes from another vendor (forgot the name). We had a great time, it's definitely worth a visit when you're in the Chelsea market.

Cool market for small vendors. Got a soap bar ($7) from the place called i.e. She also has body cream in many scents. Very nice lady.

The interior was quite crowded, with a limited number of craft booths on display. Although we didn't make any purchases, there were some nice options available to browse.

Pinky pilots is a very charming shop at Artist and fleas market at Chelsea market. Pinky pilots has original artwork that plays tribute to the city of New York in the most charming way! ^_^ Made in America souvenir. Made in New York artwork!! I definitely love picking up souvenirs ,Christmas presents and birthday presents here because Pinky Pilots has so many different pieces!! My mom loves Cavalier King Charles spaniel so they actually have cavalier collage art! It's beautiful !! it's charming and it's made from MTA maps!! The little facial expressions and different personalities of the dogs... It just charms me!! （） And again I really like the New York themed art. You can see Times Square day and night! And all other parts of the great city of the big apple!!

If you are looking for the type of things this title "Artists & Fleas" hints at-- get yourself to the Grand Bazaar on Sundays (W 77th at Columbus)--and forget this place. After walking from Sheraton in midtown, we were sorely disappointed in "Artists & Fleas". Honestly, poor quality stuff--and where was the vintage?? Don't bother.

Interesting spot that has a collection of vendors selling art, crafts, jewelry, and other goods. My sister had found out about Brooklyn Charm so we came specifically to get necklaces there. We were there right at 11am on a Sunday and it was a mad house. We rushed over to the booth and were lucky to get in before they started a wait list. There are a ton of charms but this definitely a trendy fun thing. Perfect for a souvenir for a sister weekend in the city. We finished picking out our charms around 11:15 and we had to wait ~20 minutes for them to put it on our necklaces. They are really cute and for 6 charms it was $45. I'll wear mine til it dies.

Came here exploring the Chelsea Market, and this was another shop I was happy to come across. Very clean, spacious, bright, and had a lively atmosphere. They had a decent selection of things such as vinyl records from a vendor who was spinning with some Technics for the whole store, a place just for EDC items that were more focused around the typical "men's daily carry" genre (watches, pens, leather belts, wallets, etc.), vendors for body butters, THC gummies, etc. Everyone seemed to have over all a good demeanor, it's just that the products that were being sold here felt more like I was going into a flea market, quality wise, but was being sold at a premium level. I do support anyone making a living through making crafts, butters, etc, but nothing really stood out to me as unique, and worth dropping the money in a moment's notice. TLDR; Great market in a market, nothing too special but nice to walk through and potentially pick up something you didn't expect to purchase

I love this spot - lots of different vendors selling handmade and uniquely designed and vintage items such as clothing, prints, bags, jewelry - perfect place to buy a gift or apartment decor or to spice up your wardrobe. I always have a good time when I come here.

Artists & Fleas is located in the back of Chelsea Market. This is such an amazing place and opportunity for small businesses to showcase their work! As a small business owner myself, there was a huge variety of items to choose from. There were A LOT of the same things that were being sold so friendly competition was high. For example, someone would be selling handmade jewelry and 2 booths down, someone else would be selling jewelry, same thing with clothing items. (However, that's to be expected when you have a lot of vendors in one place.) I will say, it is PACKED. Because there are so many vendors and other shoppers, it can be difficult to maneuver around especially with a stroller. Though packed, I still recommend this place especially if you love supporting small businesses, handmade items, and gift giving!

Great place to support your local artists and vendors. There are various neat finds from clothes, jewelry, fragrance, and more. Might be a bit pricey depending on the vendor, but it is worth it when the quality is good. I got this relatable hat from Aliens in Brooklyn and a fragrance oil titled "Jamaican Me Crazy" from I.E. Spa Indulgences.

Fun, rotating shop space for local artists. I believe the stall holders rotate regularly so you don't know what will be on offer. When I visited it was a lot of jewelry, streetwear and art/posters. Prices seemed fairly reasonable and it's always good to support local craftspeople. Check it out when you're in the market.

Freezing! Wish I could give 5 stars because I love Artists & Fleas and routinely support all of the amazing artists and vendors. I was there yesterday with my mother who was visiting from out of town and we ended up having to leave because of how frigid it was in the space. My mother didn't have a coat with her. I suggested buying one there for her but the AC was so cold we couldn't shop. My mom wanted to get outta there and back the warmth of the sunshine right away. We ended up leaving and decided to try Chelsea Market instead.

What a fun market within a market! My husband and I came across Artists & Fleas during our visit to Chelsea Market. When you get fooded out -- yes, I'm making that a phrase -- this will definitely even out the experience. It's bright and not jam packed with things, so you can easily walk around. And there is a variety. The set-up naturally motivates you to browse, and my eye was drawn to several jewelry booths, as well as women's clothes and make-up and other bags with sarcastic and ironic sayings on them. It's a bit of a hipster wonderland. The prices also ranged. Funny enough, though, it was my husband who actually came away from A&F with a purchase. One booth featured two bearded men selling an array of goods for bearded men. They got my husband's attention and showed off their wares. About 15 minutes later, we came away with his beard freshly balmed and brushed and a foldable beard comb that he now uses when he gets ready each morning. I wish we had had longer to spend in A&F because I likely would have found something fun for me too.

I've wandered through Artists & Fleas a couple of times just because you might as well when you have time to kill at Chelsea Market. It's a fun place to walk around and browse, with dozens of vendors selling various vintage items and handicrafts. The space is nice, clean and open and well organized, with individual vendors arranged in a grid of flea market stalls. It's easy to navigate, and good for at least fifteen minutes of entertainment even if you don't buy anything. My more recent visit was a few weeks ago, a quick stop after lunch at Los Tacos No. 1. I did a full walk-through and looked at every vendor, museum style. I particularly liked a whimsical handbag booth by New York designer Min & Mon. Cute, well-made purses and pouches with little monstery details. There were also tons of cool jewelry designers, and I enjoyed watching a demonstration of nail art stamps. Artists & Fleas seems like a great place to buy a gift or a treat for yourself, something small and pretty that you probably don't need. I'll probably come back whenever I'm in Chelsea Market. Lots of neat things and creative talent on display.

Lovely location to support local artists. There's a variety of different vendors; jewelry, candles, clothes, and various knick knacks. The vendors rotate and there may be some one-offs displays, but I've seen some of the same vendors at the market pretty consistently over the past few months. I bought some lovely jewelry from Brooklyn Charm and Dana Blair Designs.

Just the kind of thing I'm looking for when I shop as a tourist, unique makers. Maybe only one or two that I questioned as being authentic but in a city I'm grateful as a tourist to be able to find a place that showcases mostly local artists

Man.. I give 10 stars for this place! There is nothing I love more than to find these little alcoves where artists can express themselves and sell their wares direct to the public. I don't see a hipster vibe here, its artists selling clothing, jewelry, necklaces, painting/pictures and most importantly (At least to my teenage son) Vinyl records! My son was like a kid in a candy store, snapping up records that I had back in the day. If finds an album from Boston, he acts like he struck gold. Look at this cover dad! Yeah. Today its all just a faceless download with just a simple click. My nieces are making necklaces and I'm looking at hand made ties from Brooklyn. Hi, is this cash only or can I use my debit card? We have Square, please feel free to use debit or credit cards. Right on the spot, the transaction was completed and emailed to my account. Very slick indeed. I highly recommend coming to Artists & Fleas Market to browse and help local folks sell their unique items.

Be aware if you purchase from Abalove - they do not abide by what their associates tell you when making a sale. We live out of state. My husband was in NYC for work and purchased a lovely sweater a few months ahead of gifting. He was assured by an associate he could return it if need be. Even given a "special" receipt to facilitate it. Nope - deadline of 7 days for exchanges, and you pay for S&H if that's needed (which was mote). I like to support small artists but I think this is unreasonable, plus stupid - I love the gift and would have purchased more.

The Artists and Fleas market is positioned at the rear of Chelsea Market which, in its own right, is an awesome destination! Having wandered through the most delicious foodie stalls and eateries you will arrive at this cute little market. You will find a great range of stalls selling crafts/art/music/vintage clothing/jewellery. The price point is pretty reasonable for what you will receive, it's not cheap but you will certainly find some great quality items at all the stalls. There are some permanent vendors and then there are a fair selection of ever changing stalls, so any visit will bring something new! We loved our little stroll round and could have spent a fortune. I always feel like this when I visit this place! So many cute things for me, everyone I know and of course Ms V!! It's definitely a great part of one of my favourite day time adventures in this city... A walk along the High Line from the 34th St entrance, a great lunch in Chelsea followed by a peruse through the market! Just awesomeness! Thank you NYC! We love you!

I walked through Artists & Fleas on a Wednesday night while I was at Chelsea Market. Really cute idea! It's a flea market within the market with almost all locally made artisan goods. Lots of really cute jewelry, clothing, and accessories. I'm sure the hipsters flock here!

More places like this, please. Artisan works from wood, silver, other metals, paper crafts, knitted items, and just a mad profusion of creativity and fun on offer. A great place to browse, and pick up a little item for yourself or a friend. I covet my new X + O earrings found at one of the stands, and the fun artwork featuring letters of the alphabet and a corresponding item that starts with the letter. Two enthusiastic, artsy thumbs up!

Small spot about 25 vendors...many different options. Records, jewelry, laser printer pillows, t-shirts, hats etc. The nice thing it's attached to Chelsea market so everything is indoor in case the weather is bad.

How neat! I usually don't like going to these kinds of stalls since I don't need like 95% of the items here but I liked what I saw. A lot of the designs are very cute and you can't see these anywhere else. You got your jewelry but there's a lot of other trinkets as well. I liked the pouch station - there were pouches with lots of ridiculous sayings on them. I also liked the travel gear station and NYC dog designs.

Cute little indoor market with a variety of goods, from jewelry to art to clothing and tote bags. I like to frequent these places, especially if you get a chance to talk to the actual artisan who created whatever you're interested in. I like the one place that will make you a necklace - you just pick out what dangly bits you like and they'll put it together for you right on the spot. To say that this is a flea market is misleading - when I think of flea markets, I think of used goods and that's not exactly what is here. Some are items made out of vintage "ingredients", but not all.

This place is full mix of art and vintage goods. There is a great selection of original art, sometimes the artists are the ones selling. Some of the artists are actually working on projects behind there stands. There are some great gifts from vintage dealers selling vinyl, clothing, jewelry, posters and signs. This is a great place to find a unique gift for that special someone, as long has you got the cash to go large. The prices are all high, but for what you get its worth it. I saw some vintage jewelry in there that was way awesome. It's slightly limited but still really cool. The used vinyl prices were actually 30% - 40% over what they should have been. I bet he does alright with impulse shoppers.

Tucked at one end of Chelsea Marketplace, this smaller version of the Williamsburg location of the same name, Artists and Fleas features local artists trying to promote their talent under one roof. We must've viewed some 20+ vendors, all of which were very creative, interesting and fun to look at. We looked at jewelry, clothing, hair accessories, knick-knacks, more jewelry, art work, lighting fixtures, holiday décor, and plenty of other items I'm probably forgetting. The best thing to do is go there yourself and see. This place is relatively new, it's also year-round, and not just for the holidays.

Overpriced, vendors are not really kind, mostly Chinese. To me this is like a tiny open Etsy with 30% increase on prices.... It's not a flea, it's an "artists" market, nothing truly vintage as I expected.

This is a must stop whenever you're in the Chelsea Market. I had no idea this was a place where local artists and vendors sell their goods until I decided to finally walk in, thinking that it was just a store. It was so much better than I thought. As soon as I walked in, I unknowingly started browsing the first shop to my right until the artist started telling me about the materials she used to make her shirts and hats, and the ability to customize to the consumer heart's content. Then I looked around and saw this was an open market of all these awesome, local artists, showcasing their works for sale. It's not a very large market, but you can spend some time here, looking through all the unique artwork, ranging from prints, apparel, jewelry and accessories. As I was going through all of the different vendors, most of the owners were friendly and told me about how they made their work, making me appreciate even more all there was. I try to support local and small businesses whenever possible, so Artists & Fleas is a wonderful space to do just that. If you're in the area - I recommend checking out Artists & Fleas, to find whatever treasure that you wouldn't have found otherwise.

I love Chelsea Market, it's a great spot to go to especially when the weather sucks. You get to go indoors, but I still feel a sense of adventure since there are so many places you can check out inside. Artists & Fleas Market is one of those spots you will bump into while walking around Chelsea Market. I suggest you go in even if you don't want to buy anything. There are a lot of creative ideas and products that might interest you. However, if you do decide to buy something make sure you have cash. Most of the vendors only take cash.

This is a good place to get specialty gifts and cool jewelry. A lot of the local jewelers a really great and have a lot of variety to offer. It's not so much a place for artwork, but if you're looking for cool NY-y type gifts, this could be a good place for you to check out.

If you're looking for a holiday gift, you'll definitely find something at Artists & Fleas. A lot of the stands are targeted at women, but there was at least one guy selling ties and men's suit accessories. You'll find a lot of jewelry for sale inside, and home decor that will help you win millennial apartment bingo. It's not the most spacious, but they pack a lot inside, and you can enter/exit on street level or via the market.

So fun and cute. We spent the majority of a 2 hour stint at Chelsea market in just this section! And that too the majority of that at the Brooklyn charms booth. They make handcrafted jewelry and had literally thousands of charms. The hubby and I spent soooo long finding some cool stuff. And in the end one of our finds was a necklace for me with a little inverted triangle S charm. Total cost of the charm, custom engraving, custom charm link attachment and necklace was $14. There were like 20 or so stalls overall. The majority was jewelry. All of which was beautiful!! The price points had a good range so you could find something for sure.

Who knew I would pick up a gorgeous new dress at Chelsea Market?!? While wandering through, stopping here and there at the shops and food places, I came upon the artists & fleas market at the very end. There was a beautiful red dress in a window display that drew me in. It was from Nature vs. Future by Nina Valenti. Unfortunately they didn't have my size in red so I settled for grey. Best part is its made in NYC and thus makes a perfect souvenir. For me.

If money is no object, Artists & Fleas in Chelsea Market is a splendid place for gifts, souvenirs, or something unique for yourself. I've purchased several jewelry pieces here for myself and for a special lady in my life. Churoncalla takes old typewriter keys & incorporated them into rings & necklaces. The aforementioned can also be made of silver spoons & forks. Brooklyn Charm has every type of charm possible, the vendors have always been helpful & friendly. The friends that I've come here with have bought cuff links, candles, & clothing; I don't know the names of those vendors, but you get an idea of the variety that can be found in this indoor market. Cute items that I see time & time again but have no need for: canvas makeup bags with witty/bitchy sayings, pouches with adorable dog images on them, & tees & tanks featuring pigeons (note to self: definitely pick up one of these tees next time I'm in town.)

My favorite part about artist and fleas is verrier hand crafted! I bought the best print for my daughters room and have since then bought 4 more prints online and now want everything! I'm so obsessed with her stuff!

This place is packed just right with the number of artist's booths - not too tight that we were knocking into things. When we were there, women's jewelry seemed to predominate and there wasn't much for men. So the leather goods seller and the hair accessories lady stood out for me. The prices ranged from cheap to really spendy! The quality of all seemed high, no junk here, and most seemed artisan made, so one-of-a-kind, too! I think this is a great idea to support artist's work.

A really cool spot with some amazing artists. I bought a few things here that I really liked. Felt good buying some things that I really enjoy from independent vendors.

You can't escape from Flea markets in NY! They're everywhere!! I especially loved this one inside the Chelsea Market because they sold lots of handmade jewelry & accessories. I saw a super adorable bunnie sweater in the window before we walked into this shop but sadly, didn't find it anywhere. :( Most of the sellers have great prices for their items. Not sure if it's the same sellers all the time. (probably not). Great place to go if you're looking for unique gifts for a friend or even for yourself! Can't get enough of this place!!!!

Flea Market's the name. Shopping's the game. Right at the end of the Chelsea Market this Artisan Flea Market is a mecca for anything vintage and out-of-the ordinary. You'll find anything from handmade silkscreen printed shirts to handmade jewelry of all sorts. Being a jewelry fanatic myself, I love to find new things that cannot be bought anywhere else. But warning: some of the items are EXPENSIVE. Wayyy out of the price range for me. But their pieces are truly an art form. My favorite vendor there was a kind of "do-it-yourself" necklace stand. There was hundreds of charms that could be personalized right then and there. You can buy just the charm or the chain as well. The people working there seemed like they really enjoyed their job. This stand in particular was reasonable. The vendors here are extremely talented and take pride in their work. It really shows. What a cool place to visit.

Charming indoor market selling all kinds of random things, mostly for women - jewelry, artisanal soap, knick knacks. The ideal customer appears to be hipster women.

I love Chelsea Market, but I have never been inside this cute artist market. It gets a lot of hidden gems. Many good local artist and crafters. I got a handmade necklace and earrings for $100 total from a little stand called Yania. It's pricy, but all my friends said it's very pretty. There are also many other Jewelry shops inside. If I'm back to the market, I'll definitely visit this flea market again.

I didn't quite like this market very much. I much prefer the Williamsburg weekend market in Brooklyn. This flea in Chelsea market is a lot smaller but nothing too interesting. I found the items more generic. Not saying ALL vendors. I'm hoping it's just my bad luck of vendors. I was in and out of this flea in 15 minutes. It was a tad boring. The sellers seem more rude. There were only 2 vendors that caught my attention, one is the hand-written postcards and the other is the scented candles.

Unfortunately everything here is not outstanding and what I have already seen in different places. Probably they change the artists and vendors but not really I can take my friends here or to shop a unique gift. It's too bad. Maybe good for tourists but not really locals. Absolutely not I would call it a must place to visit. :(

This place is my favorite. I've been a couple times to both location but I like that Chelsea is open seven days a week! The vendors interchange which can be annoying but let's be real, it makes those pieces more valuable! I came here on a Tuesday and there was still a nice crowd but nothing compared to what it could look like on the weekends. Grab some lunch in the market and come here for holiday shopping. I literally cleared my holiday list in one trip. I love this place. Especially check out the Shark bite print at Juli Raja and the tee shirts at American Apothecary. Those drugs were really pharmaceuticals!! Wow. Fair prices for one of a kind handmade items and most places take credit card. Go.

Awesome place filled with unique bits and pieces. Chelsea Market is my favorite and preferred location of the two Artists & Fleas. Bought two things from this place: 1. Watch from Curated Basics 2. Glasses from VU frameworks No regrets!!

A great experience and a definite stop for some original art and gifts, even those gifts for you! My only drawback was that I wish some of the vendors would get off their PHONES and engage with their customers. If I come in your booth and you don't at least say hello, I'm instantly turned off and I leave. I don't think it's too much to ask! Other than that, a great experience!
