the Artmore has a PERFECT location to Center Stage. A 3 minute walk is HARD to beat! Check-in and check-out were very smooth and the courtyard was so relaxing. The parking garage is small (I drive a compact and it fit perfectly) and hard to find (located on the side of the building through a roll garage that's a bit hard to see) but the front desk directed me perfectly when I called and asked. The rooms are definitely renovated in the last 10-15 years from a hotel from years past, the floor tile was loose, the bathroom ceiling was about to peel, the bathroom doorknob was loose to name a few, but nothing that imped my stay. Our bed was comfortable, room was clean, we had a view of the mural in the alleyway, and the pillows are some of the most comfortable! Lots of good restaurants in walking distance and a Whole Foods around the corner.

Parking is super expensive and unclear. Valet parked our car on Sunday and checkout is Monday. Looked for valet on checkout Monday morning and was informed that they didn't do valet parking during the week. So had to go find out where he put my car so that was a nice adventure. Front desk lady knew this but neglected to let us know upon checkout. Now that I think about it none of the front staff seemed to go out of their way to give additional information. My room needed severe renovations and a deep clean. There were stains on furniture, walls and carpet, peeling wall paint and leather furniture, broken bathroom door handle, hair in drain and on shower walls. Place smelled like weed. Not that I care about people smoking but get better sealed windows or something so you don't have to smell your neighbors. Only plus is location isn't bad. I'd recommend spending a little more and not staying here. Which is a shame because it's has so much potential to be a really neat hotel.

The decor looks pretty nice, and my room was clean and very spacious with a full sink, microwave and refrigerator. The place has some older features and minor annoyances like my shower has two separate knobs and it was very hard to get the water to stop dripping. But I was specifically looking for the lowest cost downtown and I suppose you have to deal with aged buildings in that case. Not a bad spot

Loved loved loved this little hotel! It is worth the price and in such a great location. The staff was very kind and caring. I will say, this place does need a few improvements such as paint and leaky faucets but when you take a look it’s an old building and I feel like this is just par for the course and almost adds a bit to the charm of this place. They were also very understanding of me chilling in the lobby after check out while I waited for my next hotel to be open for check in. Seriously loved my stay here!

Check-in was a horror. Woman was so rude that it prompted me to tell her that she had a bad attitude. When people are travelling be a little more patient with them as they are discombobulated from driving/flying or whatever else it is they have been doing. Every other employee I encountered at the hotel was exceptionally nice, kind, and helpful. The hotel really does need to step up its' game a bit in terms of services offered. Do not make customers pay for water for example. Have real sugar at the coffee stand. Maybe offer a piece of fruit or something. It's a cheap hotel that feels even more cheap. They also charged me for parking when on the print out from Expedia it clearly stated free long-term parking. The rooms and hallways also desperately need new flooring. I didn't dare take my shoes off the entire time I was in the room as the carpet felt really old and dirty. The toilet ran the entire time I was in the room from some sort of leak. It is in a good location which is about the only thing it has going for it. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more to stay in a nicer hotel.

The customer service by the evening to night shift person was wonderful. It was a gentleman who had the best customer service ever compared to everyone else in the hotel. Lobby was decent. The bar area looked nice but stayed closed the entire time we were there. The location of the hotel is clean and appears safe. The hotel itself was very historic like. I understand the antique look but the paint is chipping. I was afraid that we would get lead paint poisoning. The walls need painting, floor was carpet and it had ALOT of dust. Every time we walked we could see dust rise so we kept sneezing. The touch up paint that was in the shower didn’t blend well. The water pressure in the bathroom was low. The shower had water coming from the shower head and the bath tub at the same time. Most times the toilet required two flushes instead of one. The bellman came to clean our room, thinking it was our check out time, but it wasn’t. His excuse was, I only write down what they tell me and they told me to clean this room. The matter was worked out and we indeed had an extra day but it wasn’t handled in the most professional manner. The bellman, as he called himself, used his walkie talkie to go back and forth with the front desk lady. It was a very dismissive conversation about us. Nevertheless, I would not return to this hotel.

I'm rating the Artmore Hotel 2 stars because of a variety of reasons: The rooms were dirty, the hotel seemed run down, there was no air conditioning, and it felt overall unsafe. When we first arrived, the lady at the front desk was kind and efficient so we were excited about our stay. Nevertheless, once we entered our room we immediately noticed paint peeling, no AC, and scuffed floorboards/door/etc. Because it was just cosmetic we moved past it, but then we saw a dead cockroach in the bathroom and no deadbolt on the door. Both of those are safety issues. To put the cherry on top, the bed wasn't very comfortable either for the brief moment we sat on it to reflect our hotel room's status. We decided we couldn't sleep there, so we talked to the front desk (a man this time) and he was very helpful and put us in a new room! That second room was better when we walked in; less paint chips and larger in size. However, the smell of weed was strong and we began to notice mold around the vents. There were also hairs in the sink from someone having shaved there, and a pair of sandals underneath the bed. The window was also broken, which reinforced the kind of run-down aesthetic. Overall, we had to leave because it seemed like all of the rooms had some issues with cleanliness (at least the second room had a deadbolt!). The man at the front desk was kind when we checked out, so none of my issues relate to the workers (especially because they're likely underpaid and overworked). We did see maintenance people and housekeepers so we know they are active, but this hotel overall needs a deep (deep!!) clean and a renovation if possible. We did not stay the night so I cannot talk about noise levels or sleep, but I think it speaks to our overall comfort by the fact that we stayed for 2 hours, in 2 rooms, and had to leave. I hope these issues can be resolved in the future since the hotel has a lot of potential. I would rate this place one star, but the workers were helpful so they deserve the extra star :)

My stay was OK. Room is a little outdated, hotel itself looks historic in a creepy way. There was chipped paint and the rugs throughout the hotel are bubbling. I saw no valet or breakfast. Parking is $20 a day. Now the garage is the worst, very tight parking and if you not back to hotel by 4pm you might not find parking since the garage is very small. I came back at 6 no spots and front desk was gone. No one there but security who didn’t speak English. With his phone he showed me a text from his boss saying that I could park in the garage next door since they charge $20 a day as well. However I didn’t since the hotel already charged me I wasn’t going to pay double. So I parked where ever I could- blocking a car in. If you have a van or SUV you will have to put mirrors in and let passengers out before backing in. The spots are made for compact cars. It vary tight parking! Other then that stay was okay but I won’t be back..
